Totally legal on the UK and actually encouraged in your test. There are the odd few who hate it and will try and block your path though. I used to commute into London so it's second nature for me

Yeah, I do it and will continue to do it haha hope it gets legalized soon here xD

I've been driving for around 25 years and I've always made it a point to look out for biker's simply because your much more vulnerable.

All good points that very few states get. I wish we had filtering in VA.

Talk with your local legislators and voice your opinions! Let's legalize lane filtering bb 💪 thanks for watching Eric 🙏

I am totally for it, wish I could do it here in Connecticut, but I avoid it even on very traffic heavy days because I know drivers are not used to it here and therefore do not look for it. It's not even like in NYC where you see bikers doing it constantly despite it not being legal there - local drivers there know it's a thing. No one does it here. I'm not sure how I feel about most of the clips you show of you filtering being in the shoulder of the road. Maybe that is legal but I was always told that you should avoid going in the shoulder because that's where all the debris goes. It looks pretty clean where you are, and maybe you're doing it because you can clearly see what's coming, or even less chance of driver's jabbing their wheel towards you to block you than being between lanes.. but I think it's also exponentially increasing your chance for a tire problem. I'd keep that in mind. Nice video as always, sir.

All excellent points! Lane filtering without education or awareness among drivers makes it a little risky. Yeah, the shoulder driving is safer but puts my tires more at risk for sure haha. Thanks for watching mate! Appreciate ya 👊🍻

We are allowed to filter here in my state. That’s one reason I got back on a bike.

Yeah, it seems to legal in so many places other than America lol

Filtering is definitely beneficial to everyone. I personally wouldn't use the hard shoulder because this road is likely filled with crap and is there for emergencies. So personally I wouldn't consider that safe and legal. But that's the UK where most drivers are perfectly fine with bikes filtering. I presume it's safer for you as I've seen how US drivers change lanes 😬😬😬

Haha yeahhhh, I'd prefer to be in between lanes but drivers here hate it and try to cut you off constantly. The shoulder driving... it's a matter of time before a flat tire tbh

Here in Missouri it’s Illegal, as you are aware of course, you showed a map. I’d be a bit apprehensive myself, having a full fairing on an 82 GL500. When riding in my car though, I’ve waved a couple bikers through at red lights and stuff. Cheers!

Super fair! A fully loaded cruiser would be tougher to lane filter. I always do the same when driving. Gotta look out for each other 👊🍻

Thanks mate! Call your legislator and voice your opinion! We gotta get it legalized everywhere. 👊🍻 Washington and Oregon are on their way, but every state should have this.

I had a previous gen Camaro drive ridiculously slow when I was behind him, of course I jumped to the next lane and dropped a gear.

Once it is legalized it just takes a few years for motorist and cycle riders to adjust.

I'm up in Everett and work north of here. Not always a lot of traffic I could filter through, but I keep wanting to filter to the front at traffic lights. I don't, though. I'm waiting for it to be legal.

Super fair! I do it everyday on my commute to work and have never been pulled over for it. I've passed several cops doing it as well. It doesn't really seem to be enforced, at least here in Seattle.

Of course I'm all for it. But you do still have thise idiots that will try and block you at every step of the way. Happened to me. As I was filtering, I guess a driver didn't like it and decided he was going to cut in front of me every time I tried to get around. People can be such A holes.

I have nothing against lane filtering, but as for lane splitting, I do not care for.
@MotoMango
@MotoMango 11 месяцев назад
I would have to agree with ya
@PaulsMotoZen
@PaulsMotoZen 11 месяцев назад
@@MotoMango I think the only reason I do not care for lane splitting, is because most videos I have seen of lane splitting, is individuals riding extremely fast between vehicles, putting themselves, and others around them into harms way. Filtering to the front of an intersection does not bother me at all. Take care, ride safe.
