And I'm a Sam's Club member for over 25 yrs. The broiled chicken award goes to Costco. My former boss once gave all of his employees a $100 gift card to Costco as a bonus. I used mine over the next four months almost exclusively using it to get a broiled chicken almost weekly from them.

I won't be driving 16 minutes, or longer if the interstate is backed up, to shop at an overwhelming Costco or Sams. The rotisserie chicken I bought tonight, at Walmart, was absolutely fall-off-the-bone delicious. It was the perfect amount for three of us without a huge amount left over. I think chicken cooked this way, then refrigerated overnight, tastes gamey the next day, so buying from Walmart works out great for me.

A Sam's membership is $45 and you can give a complimentary card to someone in the "family", so you can split it with them so it's less than $25 a year. We've been doing this for years.

Literally not a complaint. Walmart chicken is a money saver Plus when you done with the chicken you can pull off the rest of the meat for soup, just buy soup green and the bones for stock. So it's pretty much worth a bargain. In my book. Too much pepper they say add some lemon!! You got lemon pepper chicken.

I was in Walmart one night and saw the chicken as I was going headed to my destination and as I came back to pick up something, I noticed at 9 pm she came and marked it all down, got a chicken for about $2 65. It looked a bit dry but got it home and it's was just moist and nice under the skin. I really enjoyed eating that chicken, and I didn't need a huge bird, it was just me eating it

I used to LOVE going in at 8 pm when they marked down the rotisserie chickens not sold. And they write in them what time they were cooked so I'd always get the newest one. ALWAYS GOOD, never a bad one!! Could NOT beat the price!!! Now I don't live near a Walmart. Oh well.

It’s actually not bad. Depends on the Walmart in your area. I bought one last week on a Saturday, and they were just coming out, super fresh. Not crazy salty. Good flavor and @ $4.50. Decent price. Besides, who’s got time for chicken comparing...especially if one has to push their way through a crowd of ppl at a Costco.

I worked in the "Chicken Room" at Costco: the chickens are cooked fresh, can not be left on the shelf for more then two hours, the minimum wait is 3.4lbs. in the container(and many are four, five and six pounds) if you see the chicken busting out of the plastic, probably a big one. If you think the chicken is underdone, pop it in the oven for a little longer and use an electronic thermometer to bring it up to 165 degrees. You can not beat the price of $5 for a chicken at Costco. Honestly for the time and effort put into the chickens, I do not think they make money on them.

bleh, the bomb, really? It's just adequate and you guys are lazy. You'll never beat an over roasted chicken stuffed yourself with sliced potato halves at the bottom of the pan. Get some seasoning on it, maybe some garlic. Now that's the bomb. Truly magnificent chicken.

I pick these up for $5 in 2024. What I get for $5 is 3 or 4 meals that are as quick as choosing what parts I wanna eat and microwaving them for 85 seconds. Great light meal before work. Can't eat them all the time cause of the sodium, but its still better than a frozen meal. The ones from my store actually taste fine.

@@MayumiHeene I prefer the slightly smaller ones, because I find they have more flavor. I tried the Costco rotisserie chicken, and I disagree with this video that they're more flavorable. To me, there's not as much flavor to their chickens. What the video doesn't say with Sam's Club and Costco, that you only get a traditional chicken, whereas Walmart and other grocery stores, they offer seasoned rotisserie chickens, as well as traditional. When Walmart marks their cold rotisserie chickens on clearance, I grab them, as long as it's lemon pepper or traditional.

CouragePope I’m trying to call this out on people. Salt is full of good electrolytes that are healthy for the body. I promise it’s not the cause of heart disease in this country. The countries in the world with the highest salt consumption actually has the lowest percentage of people with heart disease. Every time I see people complain about the “high sodium content” in foods, it makes me cringe because I know that I’ve done a lot of research on this, and I want people to know the truth. Just wanted to put this out there

I work for Walmart deli and when it comes to our rotisserie chickens, they already come pre seasoned and our job is to bake them.. We do check temps to assure our chicken is right but at times, our ovens do over cook them..

I buy fresh chicken and roast it myself and use just a sprinkle of salt. I don't know why retailers are trying to kill off their customers with all that salt. It's not like the load of salt is to preserve freshness since we're going to eat the chicken within hours anyway. Cut the salt..

I used to work in Wal Mart deli and our Rotisserie chicken used to sell like mad crazy. Our team was on ball when cooking it and pulling it when the time was up in the heating cabinet .

IMO, the best rotisserie chicken comes from Boston Market. Some grocery store chains do still have some good rotisserie chickens at a better value, but do not compare in taste to Boston Market. When Shop-Rite or Stop and Shop is closing up for the night, a discounted rotisserie isn't a bad option. Its not going to be the best, but it will fill you up. I wouldn't get one from Walmart though. If you are like me, you eat all the dark meat right away and save the white meat to make chicken salad sandwiches the next day.

I answered this in some comments, but will make an observation her. Yes you do have to pay a membership at sam's or costco. However, one over looked item is that both offer about 2% back. Also if your club offers fuel, the price per gallon is 15 - 25 cents per gallon cheaper than other places. This will more than pay for your membership. If you have more than one vehicle or 1 that doesn't get great mileage it really adds up & in no time your membership is paid for itself & your saving ADDITIONAL money.

The last few times I bought rotisserie chicken from walmart they were mostly thick, but some were damn near the bone thin, and most of all of them were still raw in some parts of the bird. I ended up just cooking those a bit but it defeats the purpose. At least they have pretty good potato salad.

I think it's opinion and convenience. I'm closer to Sam's and Walmart in fact they are not even a quarter mile from each other. The closest Costco to me is almost 2 hours. I agree Sam's chickens are bigger than Walmart I like them both but I prefer Sam's. Again it's all about what you like and accessibility

I always get mine from Schnucks. Used to get them at Shop n Save but they're gone now. So my only option now is Schnucks and Dierbergs. Of course when it comes to fried chicken I say Dierbergs tops Schnucks. However, anyting tops Walmart Fried Chicken any day of the week.

Rotisserie chicken i ve sold out of plenty twice a day infact ...very popular convenience in Australia ..i always take the internal temperature of each chicken before takeing out of the rotisserie oven .all baged and sold with time of day they where cooked ..it is much healthier then a fryed chicken and the packaging is made to keep the chicken moist .stored in a bay marie. You cant beat freash .👌🇦🇺😃

Walmart is 40 miles from home, Sams & Costco are both 100 miles from home and I don't believe there is a whole foods in my state, and I have never heard of the other one. I go to town and shop walmart about 2 times per month and yes I am guilty of getting a chicken or frozen pizza or fish sticks for those 2 nights because i dont want to cook dinner. It is good to know that option is not so bad just high sodium

"A chicken in every cart!" should be Costco's moto since they, unlike Herbert Hoover, can keep their promises. You can't get a whole fresh chicken for less and you can ever make roast chicken soup out of it if you get tired of just roast chicken. I get one every time I'm there. YUM.

Usaully , I purchace two or more rotissree chickens from Walmart . If you get the chicken as it comes from the oven it is one of the BEST !!! But if it sits in the warmer for an hour or moreir will be overcooked ! Watch the time written on the label !? And yes , sometimes , I have had bigger pigeons ! LOL

The title should read "from anywhere". I've never had rotisserie chicken that wasn't loaded with sodium.

Bought one at Kroger and it was bland. No salt nothing that I could taste. Boiled chicken has more flavor or maybe my taste buds were out to lunch.

Walmart is on my D list. Publix has the best rotisserie chicken! Publix will even quarter out your chicken w/o a complaint. There sides are spot on unless you are a dummy like me that arrives at 7:30 and they close @ 8PM.

I get 3 meals out of one. First night I bake a potato and eat what I want. Next day I make chicken salad with the breasts with grapes and walnuts, 3rd night, I boil carcass and make chicken noodle soup.

Yes, that is true. Costco chicken is not cooked! I have to cook it again at home because is only the skin on the top that is cooked!

Publix is 5 minutes from my house and I love their rotisserie chicken, especially when they have specialty flavors like cranberry or Sriracha. Costco, is 45 minutes away so I think I'll stick to Publix.

love the store but they don't have cooked chicken and they really need to go over there food better. Over the years I have notice alot of there vegetables with mold on them. It could be management but I have been to two same thing. I love there butt ends of Salmai, and the drinks that are new to me I can try plus the sales.

Last time I got a WM chicken it gave me the squirts for a week. I'll stick to my local Kroger's or Riesbecks stores. I pay more but have never gotten food poisoning from them

Yes ,I bought a rotisserie chicken from Walmart and it was fatty. I really like Shoprite, their rotisserie Chickens are all natural and have a great taste, they are also bigger and less fatty.
