Fair play to you for saying things as they were and how you changed your way of thinking (ie removing hedgerows, sure we all did it, and how you now see it's not all about getting the last bit out of everything. You can be a farmer and still sees things just as a human being, sharing the planet with every other living creature, trees and plants. I think a lot of wisdom comes with age. When we're younger, we can be very blinkered in our views and thinking. It helps to be more open minded. Anyways take care👍🇮🇪
No you have to cut the grass verge on the side of the road for safety for all road users. Also for wildlife you have to maintain hedges. The well maintained hedges are the ones I see wildlife uses the most.
my apologies if that sound like "everyone sprays..." I'm sure I said it from a bit different perspective, not making a claim on "everyone" .
