What if you go over the proposal right then with them but then they hit u with the ol' "OK SOUNDS GREAT JUST EMAIL THAT TO ME SO I CAN GO OVER IT WITH MY SPOUSE" OBJECTION ??? How would you deal with that one?
Great advice! Needed to hear this. I wish I saw this video about a week ago BEFORE I went into my clients meeting. They asked for a proposal at the end of the meeting. I somewhat agreed to send one but insisted we do it in person instead of email so at least I have that going. But I didn’t make it sound as good as you made it sound and now I’m in a bit of a pickle because I didn’t schedule a definite date and time. 😫
I have learned the lesson about not emailing the proposal. Even if you have a great first meeting and it sounds like they definitely want to work with you, they still might not respond to your proposal. That can put you in a weak position of having to chase after them to try to get back in touch and reconnect. And what we chase after usually runs away.
Amazing video 😃 So we shouldn't focus on the proposal and throw it like a blind freethrow, instead in our first meeting when they ask for a proposal say "I would love to do that but I'm not there yet. What I'd like to do first is I'd like to back to our offices, put together some options, I'm gonna think really think through what you shared with me today and I'm gonna come up with a couple different options for you to pick from. And if none of them suit you we can part friends no problem" and then fix the second meeting instead. We're gonna present them a proposal in reality but we're phrasing it differently to stand apart from the competition. I love this phrasing!
Thanks for the advice. I just had a phone call with a potential client. They’re doing orthodontics and dermatology treatments. Anyway I was to this guy he told to review their websites and come with a proposal of what I can for them and email that to them. I can do that, but as you said, I’m afraid they might never open the email and be forgotten.
Hey Joe, A question, If we are running a virtual agency it's impossible to make 101 meeting with the client, in that case how we approach them? Are there any other ways to do that without sending emails to prospects? Love your channel. Cheers
Aravinda, Everything I discuss in the video I also do virtually (the majority of the time), and we do it through Zoom when we're presenting a proposal. Once we get their commitment to move forward, then we'll email them the digital proposal/agreement to sign off on. We use Bidsketch for that.
Important Question Joe, how would you go about getting the potential clients to even talk to you first? Do you advice sending them a video with all the potential solutions first? Or maybe just a quick overview of what's going on with their online presence and ask them to call you back to show them in detail everything else? Thanks for the content!
