I don’t know about that I bought a diamond ring online through a reputable family company from New York. I bought a .45 diamond D colourless diamond and it was IF clarity with an Ideal cut and I got the original authenticated GIA certificate with it

You are absolutely right. My ring cost me $2,000 whereas, if I bought it in the stores it would’ve been like $6,000

I am aware that there is a markup going through retail, but I refuse to make such a huge emotional and sentimental purchase online where I don't exactly know where the stone has been sourced from. So much things that can go wrong online.

Not just engagement rings but any containing precious stones metals etc. I decided treat myself lately and noticed they All had over measured stones sizes my few mm ( not a lot on a gold chain but gems major difference) some were declaring a massive difference in carat weight too on diamonds. And lastly colours of some precious and semi precious stones very different in person. Online look more vivid etc. Angles used to make shapes look better and accentuated. And zoom in shots or very skinny model hands used. I've had 1 out of 4 so far that's actually hood. Was slightly smaller etc than expected but a all round beautiful ring , that would make a gorgeous engagement ring aswell.. But far as I'm concerned. I'd rather buy in person in future. I've definitely over paid on all purchases accept that 1 which was platinum. And by a lot

maybe you guys are right. I'll sign up for a consultation as i like your videos. I told my bf to spend less than 1k and sent him a bunch of links to like etsy and James Allen. He hates the idea and doesn't want to shop online. He said he is going to Tiffany because they are "reliable" and have "great customer service". I hate the idea of him spending so much money plus then one is paying for the Tiffany name only. hmm.. thx
