Reminder, easy to train doesn't mean it comes trained, I was "attacked" by one when I was a kid, it wasn't aggression, it just ran up to me and tried to play with me by dragging me by the hand, sweet dog shitty owners
I had a lady complain to me that the golden retriever pup that she had bought was broken because it was badly behaved and she knew that golden’s were meant to be good dogs. She had no clue that she was meant to train the poor dog. Thankfully the breeder bought the dog back off her, but she was upset when the breeder refused to sell her another one.
Like the Labrador, they can be easy if well trained. Two problems both breeds have: joints and they tend to grow fat easily. So one needs discipline feeding them.
Is there any truth to them being aggressive toward other dogs, I've had a lot of negative experiences introducing my dog to Goldens but maybe this is beacause of poor breeding practices and bad training?
Multiple things could contribute, every dog is different regardless of breed just like all people are different, if the dog is well socialized from a young age they'll be fine, if they're trained well on top of that, also fine. But just because someone gets a golden doesn't mean they're going to not be aggressive they could have a mental health issue or not like other dogs 🤷 border collies for example typically get along well with all animals, mine has a hard time with other dogs even if they aren't doing anything to him they could just stand close to him not even sniff him and they piss him off 😂 he's getting better but he definitely doesn't like all dogs
I have got a question.I have actual being traveling in a camp van for a few months and i want a guard dog cause yk my area isn't safe so yea i need a proper guard dog.I have been thinking to get a German shepherd or a doberman.Could you suggest me some or tell me which will be better between those two i just told
What’s a very golden like breed that isn’t so Massive. I still want all year round adventures, but fits into my tiny apartment. My BorderCollieXPomeranian is a great dog but I’m gunna be in my mid fifties when I’m ready for another dog after him. Something a Little less intense would be nice.
Generally at least to me smaller dogs seem to be harder to train, I’d personally go for either some form of spaniel or a miniature poodle (don’t get a cockapoo they’re the worst of both worlds). Anything with a working lineage are a lot easier to train but I’d stay away from things like terriers as they tend to be incredibly hyper and strong willed.
@@Insertnamehere662 I keep forgetting that some spaniel breeds Are working dogs. 😅 So used to the fluffy smallest ones, but they Are gun dog breeds aren’t they?
