The only 2 downsides would be carpal tunnel, and Nova is really hard to master.

I tried making a video related to the first part of this comment. For nova being hard to master, that's true but I think as long as you are enjoying yourself you will naturally become better at any class.

She suits in all aspects and her mechanics is so fun she has grab speed burst damage fun to play summons vaccum etc and i love her status how people ignore her so PA wont nerf time to time like other classes the queen of the game!!!!

I've always been interested in nova but the 2 mains reasons i didnt reroll are her main weapon and i'm too lazy to try to master such a hard class like her

I feel you because it's hard for me to try other classes too I procrastinate. I think no matter the class on BDO, once a player finds something they truly enjoy playing then it becomes natural wanting to learn that class.

@@flowercam5535 yeah i started the game in 2017 as dk back then, like everyone at that time and rerolled to maehwa soon after, sticked to her since then. I always wanted to play something else as second character, and actually tried to learn ranger awk, nova awk, i played witch and lahn too but when it comes to actually master the class, i always procrastinate and give up

Made nova for my first character honestly i love the base nova feels so good i have so much mobility i think going side to side using my ⬇ + F to make distance then ⬆ + f to go back then side move then q and rmb after the q and ⬅ + ➡ lmb

I beetwen making a guardian or nova as my first character, eventually i will make both but for a first character is nova a good choice?

Good question! The potential issue of making a Nova as first character is that she can be very slow in her base mainhand form. Once she hits level 56 and does the awakening quest she will be fast. However If playing a slower character until then is not your style I recommend play another character and then on BDO you can copy your level and gear to another class.

Can you stay in awakening the whole time or is it ineffective/low dps? Really jarring to be super fast and agile then materialize a shield and mace outta thin air and be slow and clunky

In most cases you could probably stay fully in awakening outside of probably 2 skills that are essential to use that incorporates your mainhand(shield/mace). You can view the overall mainhand kit as complementary instead of mandatory to awakening, and this is even more the case in PvE. Particularly, the component of mainhand skills tend to be slower but offer great stability and additional options in the form of protections and crowd controls. In other words and to answer your question, Yes. Nova probably relies less on her non awakening skills than majority of other classes and you can get away with not using your shield. However, you would be missing out on not using the class at its fullest potential but this mainly applies for PvP and not PvE. Hope that answers your question.

In PvE you stay in awakening in the standard rotation, because awakening has also 2 "modes" regular and Acceleration in Accel your skills get additional "effects" for a short period until Accel runs out, usually you go through an Accel build phase rotation and then an Accel burst phase rotation, rinse repeat, eject hand, replace with new :D but she is hella fun and i'd say the best vacuums in the whole game.

Hello! Actually I copied the preset from a friend a long time ago and BDO has an option where if the original creator locked it then I can't share it manually myself.

Damn but that early game grind to 56 looks brutal though.

Since you are stuck in mainhand until level 56 it does feel really slow to progress early on. However, the ability to compass a seasonal and the sheer amounts of exp boost in this game allows you to hit level 56 under an hour if this really is a frustrating factor. I made a brand new account in another region without any resources and a just from having a friend who was willing to hit Polly Forest mobs for 30 minutes I was able to go from 1 to 56.

the first upload was stuck in 1080p/24 fps and like 2k bitrate! It was my first video so I made sure to fix those mistakes. I reuploaded for 1440p@60fps
