playing Arknights has changed my life for the better. i can proudly announce that i am now: - a gambling addict - homeless - sleep deprived - a gambling addict - insane - a proud owner of a bunch of anime girls - friends with the only Arknights youtuber EVER!!! - a gambling addict 10/10 game, thank you Lowlight for designing this magnum opus entry of a tower defense game. you should play it too to truly change your life for the better good of humanity!!!
playing arknights teaches you that training stages are actually the hardest ones, coz for once you are forced to play without your bullshit overpowere ops
Finishing a whole event (maybe except last 2 EX challenge difficulty stages)? NBD. Low-rarity unit's Paradox simulation? I NEED a guide for my brain is too smooth for that kind of dark magic
I still can't believe that I am playing this silly little tower defense game I picked up when the world closed down during the pandemic. What I thought would be a brief passing moment had sucked me into this Arknight's rabbit hole for almost 4 years (and probably more).
I think i'll be here for the next decade tbh. It's just such an easy game for me to maintain. I have zero burn out so far. If anything I like it more than when I started a year ago xD.
i just download arknight around two months ago (i think it's around the closing of the invitation of wine event) and cant stop every day, currently saving either for spectre alter or 2024 banner. As someone who love read novel with a lot of depth either the character or world building terra lore are really a hive mind. My favorite character by far is wei yenwu, he actually in my opinion as IR student is the most realistic depiction of a statesman or politician, he reach a position where the term right and wrong is are hard to spot specially after what happen to lady fumizuki past (i think something about yenwu brother), chen and tallulah and duke kaschey existent with ursus, wei yenwu extermination order of infected during lungmen raided by reunion which discovered by chen are horrible but at the same time in lungmen leadership view as a goverment the existent of insurgent group rise from part of society which infected with 100% mortality rate disease with no known cure and despised by the world population are a justified threat even if the goverment contribute to the creation of a cure the oppresed infected will not have the patient, they life already shorth lived and being hated by most population and now a group of insurgent rises with the goal liberating the infected will attracted the masses the same way many dictator goverment rises such as communist revolution or regime change movement. in arknight it's very hard to say who in the right and wrong for everyone argument and view are justified, mephisto maybe cruel, but the same thing could be say to the women who forced mephisto to swallow a whole originium rock to his throat which literally start his villain origin story or yelena who just a random unfortunate infected soul who lucky enough adopted by patriot from a forced labor mine camp and decide to choose the path of warfare.
It's not explicitly stated by after a few months of playing you'll come to the realization that most of your favorite characters will die a slow, painful death from rock cancer AND you'll sink into a mild 7 minute depression every time you see a white rabbit. Also 1-7 will come as surely as the rising sun.
Great video, nailed every point about this game in under 6 minutes. Loved it this is what people need. Hell we even have manga and an anime with 2 seasons! Especially the fact of its labeled as TD but its more akin to RTS. TD turns people away from it a lot and its sad cause its really more then that. Been playing since release and even make 'content' on it nowadays. Hell reading all the story out loud takes a lot out of me but I do it. Maybe people will appreciate the 'book im reading to them' while also experiencing it myself. :D
it is sad that people turn away due to the TD nature but well all we can do is try to convince them its good haha, we all appreciate your service to the community o7
Wait, TD is a subgenre of RTS, right? Anyway, it's a relatively niche genre so it's not surprising that some people would be turned off, but those that have been looking for a game like this would be very satisfied. It's not a bad compromise definitely, arknights is still very profitable for HG despite being relatively niche.
I played arknight a little bit when it first came out on global (until the guranteed 6 star.) I just got back into the game on sacricusa event and i been playing it on the daily since. The music is fantastic and the story is superb. Finally beat JT8-3 no guide. It been such a blast. I regret not going back to the game sooner.
the best time to start was yesterday, the next best time is now. while it might be a shame to have missed limiteds, as long as you have fun thats all that matters really ~
As much as I love the lore from what I'e read about it and listened and become addicted to the music, but I've always been worried that I'm entering it too late considering it's about three or so years too late.
you lose on a lot more if you never start as they say ! beside the limited character issue, every event is playable and just by the nature of the game you'll get most characters so dont be afraid to start because you think its too late!
As someone who joined the AK scene in 2022 and currently make AK-related content, I do highly endorse the game especially if you aren't a fan of gacha. I actually hate gacha games myself! However, I believe that the combination of tower defense and limited options at the beginning makes the game an enjoyable challenge, and along with the promise of banger music (they absolutely delivered), I started playing because the game was challenging. This charm was not something I had expected for a gacha game but it's why so many people actively limit their roster to try to clear stages in the most stylish ways. 10/10. Would unironically recommend.
I tried playing AK when it first launched and in 2022, but it was too hard to get into as a new player and I felt like I wasn't smart enough for the game. I started playing again for the recent Eyja alter banner (because she is so cute aaaa) and I got her within 20 pulls! When Shu was released in the CN server, it motivated me to keep going just for the sake of getting her, but in the process I was sucked into the game and is now part of my daily routine. That and the amazing stories that's easy to read yet very compelling makes it a very enjoyable experience. That said, I'm also a long time VN fan so I guess I'm just used to dialogue filled content LOL The only time I got really stuck on a stage for like 6 hours was Talulah's boss stage, but that was just me with my mid and not heavily invested operators problems haha. Once I cleared it after figuring out the timing and every gimmick (?) of the stage, it was SO satisfying. In just a span of under 5 months, I'm able to expand my roster of six stars considerably when compared to other games I played. I think there's a little something for everyone in Arknights, whether it be for the music, the story, the characters, the gameplay and that's really amazing! You can just tell that they're working hard to make this a very very good game. I personally love every aspect of it and I'm so SOOO happy to watch this video. I hope this encourage people to check out the game!! 💙
Arknights is honestly one of the friendliest gacha experiences i've had. I often get characters early in their banners. I think i've only had to go above 100 on one limited and one standard since i've started to grab a character from the banner I actually wanted. It's all luck at the end of the day of course, but with a 2 percent rate that goes up after 50 by 2 percent each pull, it's definitely a lot more lenient than other games i've played xD. For me, the gameplay is awesome. It lets me experiment with different characters and it has a lot of fun modes to play in. The story starts out a bit awkward the first few main episodes, but it picks up and imho at least, it only gets better over time minus a few hiccups. All in all, I'd definitely recommend it. And the OST is probably my favourite of the past decade and a half besides FFXIV. Also I do understand why some people hate reading, but for me it's actually my preferred way of enjoying the story. It's light-weight, and thus I can stick with it for the long haul. I wouldn't mind voice acting of course but I'd rather they just keep this game going for a long time.
If you're comparing it to games like FGO, sure it's pretty alright but I've definitely seen better gacha systems. That 300 spark is a real dealbreaker for me though, not everyone is as lucky as you. If you ever experience going to 300 pulls then I'm sure you wouldn't have such a favourable opinion on the gacha. That's months of your F2P income gone just like that. And the spark doesn't carry over. I find it very hard to justify such a punishing gacha system for limited ops.
I'll be frank regarding my experience as someone who has played this for almost 4 years The ads didn't do this game justice, and since it kept pestering me i decided to give it a shot Lo and behold i'm completely hooked and the monthly cards worth my money, so yeah it's a win/win for me
When the game makes I feel enjoy and engaging in the genre that I never like in the first place. I know it's good. It hits sweet spot despite limited issue and some QoL.
The only reason im playing Arknights is the gameplay. Shit is so addicting. I skip all the story cutscenes(i know i might be missing out) just to get to the fighting. I loved chess and other problem solving games when i was a kid and arknights levels just feels like puzzles that needs to be solved. 10/10 gameplay. Also that monhun collab was so good.
-Been telling people how awesome arknights is in the story and writing, full of heart [mostly tragedy] -Made a lot of fan art, posted it on discord so much they banned me of their official discord server -told people to try reading Rhine lab first so they can start to see why I like the game so much -NONE OF THEM READ IT -Kay is the best Girl!
As someone who doesn't read the story, play with sound on, or care that much about most of the art the critically important draw to Arknights for me was the game play. For me there are only a handful of mobile games that actually require you to play them in a way that feels challenging and worth my time. Of those Arknights game play was the most appealing to me. I've personally tried and tested probably 100 different mobile games that looked like they could be decent only to be disappointed by the game play. There are a couple other gems out there rarely, Punishing Gray Raven for example, that just wasn't for me due to personal preference but I acknowledge that they have solid game play. For me Arknights sits among the rarest elite mobile games and fits my preferences the best of those.
im not a gacha game or a mobile player and Arknights was able to capture my attention despite the tower defense nature so its pretty elite in my eyes too
I really do love the game. But introducing new players to it is brutal. It takes a looooong time to get started, the early story isn't super interesting. It was really disappointing not being able to finish Stultifera Navis at the time, which is around when I started playing. The stages were hard, the mechanics were difficult to tussle with, and even though I didn't know most of the characters, I wanted to see where it was going to go. Story-wise, I kind of like the presentation? I'm very used to VNs. My issue is more how I feel pressure to rush through, especially in events, so I can get to the "farming stages" asap to spend my sanity to clear shop. Then going back to read everything doesn't feel as interesting.
Arknights early game is very brutal and like mentioned is kinda forgotten by veteran players. However, in exchange for the early game brutality, i feel that mid/end game feels very rewarding because of it since now you've probably gotten better and have a core team to tackle stages with.
I first tried play Arknights during it's first year and it was overwhelming for someone who's bad at strategy. Also the game back then was confusing too. And then once again last year I tried playing the game since I saw Arknights in recommendation each time I opened playstore. It was during Near Light event. Now I stay because of story, art and music. As for gameplay.. as expected I have small brain.
Getting resources through sanity, is tough even at high investment account (30k lmd in one session, not fun), real reason it doesn't feel that hard is that u don't need as much resources to spend (build just one character at the time, not whole team) and well builded base provide enough resources
@@mochidash early base building is what made me quit the game, I could've maxed 6+ 3*'s but instead it all went into base just so I can get measly 20k LMD and xp a day and cope that in billion years it will pay off.
mlynar, goldenglow, thorns, ines, reedalter and in a ~month or so a new number one will appear named degenbrecher. but really any six star will help your account when you are starting out
I start playingarknights sever CN Early 2023 Monster Hunter event For people with 3 years of playing experience Able to borrow friends' 6-star characters carry farm until mid game makes it a lot easier and then after that i got Typhon and Młynar That's when easy mode kicks in.Anyway, I'm still satisfied with starting to play this time on the server CN.
Ak is one of the moblie gacha games that i have to actually think while playing. No more mindless clicking, now i have to think of strats how to beat the stage.and one more thing i hate those dam seaborn
I love logging in everyday twice a day just to avoid missing out on resources that everyone is starved of with no option to skip a day or two because even logging in everyday progress is slow as fuck.
@@mochidash I like what they did for the Orginium farming. The PRTS system with no wait for instant completion. So yeah. I do like the gameplay, but not the waiting for auto gridning to finish.
There is one question before u recommend AK to some1? < if u play any other gachas? If no - absolutely yes If yes - save their soul from gacha hell And my opinion - AK lore is good but reading it? Hell, it is written so no one would read it... It is long but most important, translation is not that good...
Its almost 1 year for me, I have learned I have good gatcha luck but not whale-luck. Also reading is stupid, funny red numbers, color women are most powerful.
4 issues I have with Arknights and why I stopped playing. 1. Too much bickering between random no-named characters that do nothing to contribute to the story, or anything really. 2. The main story stages can be frustratingly difficult if you just want to read the story, and I feel it would be better to save the insane difficulty spikes to side missions. 3. The constant, unending maintenance of your base makes me want to throw my phone out the window. 4. CC starts off brutally hard at a base level, which makes the event just a "google how to beat this" event. Which at that point I question why I am even playing.
sometimes the game isn't for everyone since i know some people really enjoy the difficulty of the game. it is not a surprise to me that people get turned off by it
Me personality really want to quit ak game without doctor getting involved so much really become boring for me the gameplay and character unique are cool but i cant play how i used to excited to play this game anymore......im waiting another arknights game to replace this game..
constructive criticism on your video: Contents are good but your vocal delivery kinda hinders my enjoyment of it. You mumble through so much of your lines that I can't properly discern what you're trying to say without having to rewind the video to try and listen again. You should try and speak clearer with better word enunciation
