this is probably the most informative review of this game. lots of reviewers mentioned the dying mechanic passing but never elaborated on. thanks I am now more interested in this
I think its because they are optional now ( the rogue like stuff) but thats crazy that other reviews don't mention them. Its literally what makes the game so unique
wtf. I saw a couple other reviews and was gonna pass on this game. Now seeing this one I finally hear about this death mechanic and I'm SUPER intrigued. That's honestly really cool, and now I'm all for picking this one up. You, my friend, just turned a 'pass' in to a 'purchase'!
I think the other reviews dont mention it because if they reviewed it later than I did it became optional rather than enforced. I think you have to play on hero mode now? Either way the death mechanic is one of the best things about the game so I am suprised so few mention it haha. Thanks for the comment though glad the video convinced you :D
Glas you enjoyed it :) yeah its a really well made game. I finally got it on switch too, and have an xbox series s now so have it on gamepass haha. Thank you for subscribing too.
Thank you for the compliment :) I haven't been back to it too much since then, but played a lot more co op. Never got around to doing the coopcast on it unfortunately. Might sneak it in next year haha
On about era 5 or 6 now and I haven’t managed to die yet, but the game definitely gets harder 😂 some big unit follows u around the map, etc.. though I’ve been on normal the whole time, props to you!
It's a bit sad because it got poor reviews because of the loading times, the tendency for the game to crash randomly (on the ps4 version at least it happened to me every now and then) and some other technical hiccups. It's a shame really because it's one of the most interesting roguelike out there despite of it's flaws. I kinda wish they make a sequel with those issues resolved and expanded on what was already there.
Yeah the load times on switch are very poor. The PC version though i ran into no issues at all. Game plays great. Its a shame though as its such a good fit for a portable system
hm i was surprised when i scrolled down after watching the whole video that a video of this quality was made from a channel with below 1000 subs 🤔 literally watched the whole thing and stayed interested thruout the 12+min...not many vids can do that for me usually im off by like 100% or so (say if person has 50k subs but imagined they had only 25k), i wouldve guessed at least 30k for this one
Thank you for the kind comment. I would love to dedicate more time to the channel but full time jobs like to get in the way 😅 hoping to be more consistent with it again now though
@@thepixeltavern yea maybe u can reach out to bigger content creators in that sector get a hook, im certain they wouldnt be disappointed in working with u/benefit from it as well 😊maybe in 2 years if u keep at it and love what u r doing u can have yt as ur fulltime thing 😋
@@sooooooooDark Yeah i did reach out a few years ago and got a lot of my halo content that way, need to do that again. Hopefully doing a colab soon too 😄. Ahhh full time yt would be anazing. Hope you manage to check out more on the channel and thanks for commenting and checking this one out :)
@@thepixeltavern 2-4 vids a week (i know that might be hard with a full time job) + shoutouts from bigger creators and it all can go very fast 😁 uve got the talent, now if u just got the passion and dedication to pull thru it all can go very quickly 😉
Wish every game would quit hamfisting "roguelike" mechanics in. Ruins a lot of games I would otherwise enjoy. The fact that they patched it out shows I'm not alone.
See I dont like roguelike games either. I find spending all that time playing to die and loose all progress is annoying. However, with this they did it right, you still progress if you die but it comes with a big punishment. Its now optional rather than forced
Just put ether effect on the golf bat thingy or something... Trust me its the most op crap on the game... Found it myself, dunno if others found it earlier than me but hey you should try it
I was going to play this with my girlfriend.. but I just dont think she could handle the rogue like elements.. and finding out there is a time limit on each play through really turns me off.
Very long story, so was going to be running through it with my partner but a combination of lockdown and some medical issues me and my partner haven't been able to play it yet. I hope to be able to in the next year though
I love this game so much especially the art His style and his music I work a lot on my Deviantart of art of The game so I love if you can follow me on Deviantart olso great review
