This book is insane. I’ve read it over and over and you begin to see people using these tactics subconsciously to manipulate others all the time. I remember my friend was dating this girl who would play with his head like a cat plays with a mouse, and when I read the book power I was able to distinguish what exactly she was doing to get her way all the time. She would pretend to be dumb, she would constantly agree to his ideas and then slowly change his mind while pretending to be on his side and she would be indifferent to every argument and so many more fucked up things. I swear she was following the laws perfectly.

My favourites are rule 29 "plan until the end" rlue 35 "master the art of timeing" because it says that you can plan every enemy movements and know how your enemy works. @@peaceandlove544you people ask “how” and thats where you’re wrong. the answer is not a 1+1 = 2 sort of situation. It’s more vague- it allows you to reflect on moments in your life others have used tactics like these and allows you to see the reality in the situation rather than the emotions that you felt. For example, you can make sense of why friend x is so persistent on reaching out and is so friendly despite me not being a good friend back to them in the past two years- the reason you will realize is that they may have concealed intentions. Or when you arrive at a new job instead of being overzealous and trying to impress everyone (which creates a target on you) you can play your cards a bit more discretely and rise to power in a less obvious sort of way. It sounds so cliche, and to be guarded you are correct, but in the comments of Robert Greene videos you will see countless middle aged men and women preaching that his insights have been true in their own lives.

Engrossing exploration of power dynamics! 🕵️‍♂️ 'The 48 Laws of Power' is a thought-provoking journey through history, strategy, and human behavior. Robert Greene's insights on navigating the intricate web of power are both fascinating and cautionary. Each law is like a chess move in the grand game of life, and the examples drawn from historical figures add depth and relevance.

Not entirely sure if it was just a coincidence or if the shit in the book actually works, but I did land a new job about 2 weeks after listening to it, and using some of the tips from the book, I progressed and was given almost everything I wanted during my time in the job. I only had the job for 7 months, just laid off 2 days ago, BUT in those 7 months, the pay for just 7 months was equal to 35 months of total pay from the job before. I will say that I did fly too close to the sun and fumbled the 7 month job, but that’s on me. I don’t regret the decisions & actions during those 7 months. But I would like to think that this book IS THE book everyone should read/listen to
