Michael is amazing for many reasons. He takes the time to talk to you or answer your e-mails very quickly and his service is free, no strings attached. He is very knowledgeable and caring. He has devoted his time for years to help people free of charge which is amazing in and of itself in this day and age. I appreciate his words of wisdom and his time and energy to get our questions answered and to help us move forward. I totally recommend spending the time to schedule an appointment with him. There is nothing to lose and everything to gain. It really helps to know there is someone out there who is supportive of your situation and I really get that this man cares and is willing to help. He knows what he is talking about and will not give you false hopes. He tells it as he sees it, no padding, no veneer. He is genuine and I urge you to schedule a 15 minute appointment with him. No obligation, 100% effective. If you have ANY legal credit issues, just make an appointment, it's FREE! I have the luxury of having an attorney as a very good friend, and when we came to a crossroad with a Debit company, It was Michael who steered us in the right direction. Two months later, the case is closed and I got a $200 check from the debit company...THANK YOU MICHAEL!!!

Got to know your work thru Art of Money with Bari Tessler Linden. In my second year. Have planned to work with you since listening to the first interview with her but quite haven’t built up the courage to reach out yet. Thank you for taking the time today for the consult. We addressed Discover as the first place to start. They have a charge off date of 10/31. I called today and they said settlement not an option. Wanted to put me on installment plan. I said I hoped we be able to settle on an amount so I just payoff and be done and he didn't budge. Very brief phone call. Thoughts?

@@MichaelBovee About my 4th time calling Discover at this point and with one week to go for charge off, they are not offering any settlement. Only redic 9 year pay off option at 5% apr. They can't even tell me why settlement not being provided as option. Kinda frustrated not being able to have an opportunity to settle. Any agreement they also stipulating cannot be re-negotiated later. Thinking they have made decision to not settle with me but ill try again this last week. If no settlement, I'm most concerned about what happens is I do nothing and let charge off date pass

Hi Michael, I have credit card debt that is over 39,000 and due to covid 19 have lost 85 percent of my income. I am not sure what steps I should take... Are you available to for a consultation? Barry

can a debt buyer sue you for a debt that has already been through the courts. Original case resulted in default judgement. I am in california and original case is over 4 years ago. SOL is 4 years. source of income is disability and homestead has been filed with accessor.

Having 2 judgments for the same account would not be right. Talk to an experienced debt collection consumer law attorney in your state for more feedback on that. What may be happening is that there is an existing judgment, and they are filing for a renewal. Judgment debts do not have a 4 year SOL. They can last forever in many states, as long as they renew it.
