My colleague had Introduced me to a good investor and till date I'm grateful to her for that words of advice that really transformed my life " never be scared to start something new or strange although you can never know the value of a book by mere looking at its cover"
I'm a local farmer here in Kenya and I'm happy to watch this from Dr.Harnet ..tell them also that kenyans are so welcoming people.."come join us guys let's take Kenya to the next level"
Hi Mohamed can you let your mobile number because I need to know opportunities of investment in Kenya My name Ahmed Eid From Egypt CEO of Al-Fouad for import and export Best regards
For the fashion industry Kenya is one of the top sourcing countries due to its manufacturing industry and close ports to Asia. With a full supply chain and access to strong neighbouring cotton producing countries like Uganda and Tanzania makes kenya very key. A great option and one I too recommend!
We need investors who have moral standards and right intentions. Its not all about capitalism. We have been used long enough. Thank you for your good praise and research however.
Thank you for the wonderful business insight. My wife (business partner) and i look forward to meeting with you in the future to create and start our African business venture. We are ex-entrepreneurs coming out of retirement to contribute to Africa
Hope our government officials here in Tanzania get ua message and amend regulations to make it easy for people to do business here, thanx for the great job u are doing.
I have been watching your work over the years and I am impressed as to how you walk the walk. You don't just talk about it. You put boots on the ground and share with us your knowledge of the countries you go to on the African continent. Thank you dear sister. Looking forward to working with you and seeking your expertise when the time is right. Peace.
Dr Harnet thank you for taking time to show why Africa is indeed ready for investors, you are doing Africa a lot of good by giving expert opinion on investment opportunities in Africa, now for those who disrespect Dr Harnet by saying they want to marry her, please we are in the 21st century and it is really sad when a person of Dr Harnet status is subjected to rude requests for marriage, i have gone to platforms for men doing what Dr Harnet is doing and at no time have i read of a woman trying to marry the male advisers, its time we respect our women, we can not afford to loose all our smart women to western countries, its time to level the playing field and give our very smart women a chance to make Africa an economic power house.
I’m in the USA and thinking of where to start my business due to high taxes down here,I’m thinking about Kenya now awesome knowledge on this clip.I will be willing to invest 💯

I totally agree with you Kenye is doing great when it comes to investments. When it comes to stock market investment it has one of the cheapest yet great companies in the world. Another thing to note Kenya is the regional hub to most of international companies which is a plus.
The best thing with Kenya is that there is a massive market that you can easily reach with online marketing. I have dabbled in various kinds of businesses from selling diapers and lingerie to selling organic chicken and I always made money. In Kenya, just have a good product. The rest will take care of itself.
Thank you Dr. Harnet, sorry for any inconvenience you had in Tanzania. But I believe our president is working very hard to solve that kind of problems. I promise when you visit next time you will see wonders. Good day!
Glad to see African countries stepping up and making it easier to do business. I hope the government is ensuring that their economic growth will not lead to the marginalisation of the indigenous people and Africans, as wealthy foreigners and multinationals snap up all the opportunities before the locals can.
Hello Dr Harnet. Your observation is balanced and not all praise. The Kenyan President has a lot of diaspora experience even in his own family has become a magnet for FDI. Also the previous lady stela Minister of Foreign Affairs has boosted investor confidence. Finally, the cancellation of their sitting President's elections was a bold statement of the independence of the Judicial system. Thank you for these insights
Hi I'm from the Caribbean region a small scale entrepreneur and business enthusiast. I've always imagined doing business in Africa but wasn't certain or confident in where ,who, what and how. However you have make it easier in me determining targets. Can you suggest the best market sources and products for imports from Africa ? Skin and hair is a popular applications thing in my county so probably I could start from there
Hello Dr Harnet, I would like to export fruits and other food stuff from Uganda to European nation ,But i dont know how to link up with buyers kindly advice on how to link up with buyers . Thank you.
Mng Dr Harnet, It makes me happy to see you happy in my country. I am preparing to move back myself. Is there any private contact to get in touch with you, plz?
Kenya's road and rail projects come to completion in 2025 under vision 2030 that's even a more better time to evaluate its potential but things look promising at the moment
We are a charity organization in South Korea. Currently, we are sending a large amount of books to Africa. We directly contract with DHL and FedEx to send books on a case-by-case basis. It's too expensive to send by plane, and there's also a waste of manpower to send it on a case-by-case basis. So we are looking for a company that can do co-work with us. 1. You should be able to store a large amount of books (about 10,000 books). 2. As the recipient of the book, you should be able to act on behalf of the customs duties. 3. You should be able to deliver these books on a case-by-case across to Africa. We look forward to hearing from those who are interested.
I appreciate you sis, small startup business for women of the diaspora? I have no capital but I'm so many businesses downloads( ideas) Watching your videoes, reading books on finances.Im manfesting my business in Africa, Looking for a mentor and investors.
Hi Mixed Native, great to see your interest. Don't give up, continued self-education and a business mentor / coach would help. Don't spend time looking for investors at this point, they hardly ever invest in an unclear idea or even a business concept that has not been proven. You can start your self-education for your African business on my website www.africajumpstart.com - keep marching and believing!
Lol listening to this after the announcement that Little Shuttle is shutting down temporarily and SWVL, not to the last couple of companies that have shut down like Sportpesa......I don't know maybe it's easier for foreigners
Thanks very much. I really benefit more out of your recommendation on how to invest in Africa.. I will be in Kenya soon to evaluate the opportunities for doing business in agriculture, I already received my business name online, but I am looking for local partners I can give them 40% shares and fully financing the business.. I appreciate if you can recommend me potential individuals based on your experience. I am planning to cultivate oyster and button mushrooms, strawberry, macadamia, avocados and also thinking about animals especially goats for diary and meat. I really have much to plan for and diversification strategies based on my market studies..
Dear Umar, great to hear about your interest in farming. I like the high-value crops that you have chosen. All of those you mentioned are high in demand in Kenya with fantastic potential for export, too. My first advise would however be to focus on one or two before diversifying too early. The trees for Macadamia and avocado of course will take time to grow, so you can consider to inter-crop. I suggest you get in touch with the Kenya National Farmers Federation to see if they can assist with the kind of partnerships you seek.
@@dr.harnet466 thank you so much, I really appreciate your recommendation, I will try to find links with farmers federation there, I already started my communications with JAKUAT. Will keep in touch with you. One again, thank you for everything.
Do you interest in Somalia we have 2 rivers each one run over 1300 kelometer in different directions about 10 million acres of agriculture land longest cost in Africa which rich fish, let me know if you're interested in Somalia it is market that will be coming next 5 to 10 years with oil and gas discoveries, and easy access to the ocean, over 2000 miles of coastline 3333 kilometres ocean,
Great opportunities and advice for young Dr harnet where are from original I know you from east Africa. I run own business in Ethiopian I just want ask you something.
Dr ሐርነት dont like Ethiopia.... Ethiopia is the hottest economy in Africa but she never said one thing about doing business in Ethiopia! Shes Eritrean but forgot Ethiopia and eritrea are same people.... She goes all over Africa but hates Ethiopia.... Shame on you Harinet....
Absolutely, Freddie. Kenya is a leading market in this regard in Africa and app utilization is rather high as compared to many other African markets. You will find skilled app developers, too. You can reach out to iHub in Nairobi, the leading tech hub.
Hi Dr. Harnet, I know this is regarding Kenya. But I am looking to import/source product from Ghana via the port of Rotterdam. Can you advise? I want to buy in bulk and pack here in the Nederlands.
Hi there, if you are new I suggest you start with my free importing training on how to import from Africa. I also offer further action steps there. I hope this will help as a start. You may watch the webinar here: events.genndi.com/register/169105139238455351/667718d976
thank you for sharing these awesome videos with us. I would like to tell you that your videos are very blurry. There is a way to upload videos without you losing its original quality. Get Dobie Premiere Pro and try to use the preprogramming they have for RU-vid. I hope that helps you grow your channel. bye now.
Hi am a Gabonese based in Kenya . I have the ideas of business and open for joint investor. Kindly reach out to me at marafouz@gmail.com. I will share my business plan with you and we see the way forward
Dear Dr. Edward - I have to say I would not be able to point out concrete opportunities in this regard. But the company Cellulant, which is a Kenyan company, started in the utility sector from scratch and it has become a multi-million Dollar company. It may be worth checking their success story. You may also want to contact the Institution of Engineers in Kenya to find out more about opportunities in the sector.
@@dr.edwardwilliam4689 Bro Edward, I'm in Construction and want to make moves in Africa on that front too! There's so much opportunity for the trades in Africa. We'd be billionaires!! ✊
Dr Harriet thx. Unfortunately that ease of doing business and opening up the country to whoever, has attracted loan sharks from the silicon valley and Europe and betting companies from as far as China. This cannot happen in the same capitalist nations ( leading in the ease of doing business index) because of their protectionist policies. Companies coming in with an 'investment ' cloak but get busy siphoning out cash by bleeding the unsuspecting public dry through dubious undertakings should be vetted and deregistred. Other African countries should take note and safeguard their citizens than fall prey in the name of ease-of-doing-business . Precautionary measures should prevail.
Madam I’m a civil engineer from India. I’m very much interested in starting a construction company in Rwanda. I’m doing small scale construction in India. Im 25 now. Will you please assist me with the needful. Right now im in Dubai.I heard a lot about the opportunities in Africa.
Hi. I'm a civil engineer too, 3 years in Kenya, working for United Nations. I can testify that construction is growing faster in Kenya. I am open to you ideas and wish to be part of your new venture in Rwanda. Kindly reach out to me at marafouz@gmail.com
Foreign contractors are easily accepted in Kenya or east Africa. With resources you will be best placed to start more especially in Kenya than Rwanda since Kenya has more constructions than Rwanda.
Am privileged l have a potential land in Kenya, good for investment though l have no capital for investment.Am asking for any investor who might be positive so that we can go about it
Absolutely love the attention you bring to the one area of the world.(Africa) that everybody overlooks to their detriment. But I also notice that you are rather over-oriented towards East Africa and ignoring the evn more promising Southern African region, which has more stability, stronger economic performance, and fewer terror threats. I wish you would also profile Botswana, Namibia, and Mozambique, which for me are more likely to produce the next investment upswing on the continent, certainly more so than West African (too much dependence on Daddy France / Belgium), north African (identify exclusively with Arabic / Muslim culture than black Africa) or east African countries (China obsession).
Dear Mobisa, a very valid point! I am promoting Southern African countries in my seminars and among my trainees. The reason I have not yet covered them in-depth on RU-vid is because I did not have the chance to travel there. As I write this I have established contacts to a state ministry of Namibia in charge of investment promotion...
What makes you think the South/Southern African region is more promising than the East/Eastern African region? What is your train of thought based on? Let’s look at the facts here 1. South Africa’s economy grew by 1.3% 2. Botswana’s economy grew by 4.4% 3. Zimbabwe’s economy shrank by -5% 4. Zambia’s economy grew by 2% 5. Malawi’s economy grew by 3.7% 6. Mozambique’s economy grew by 3.3% 7. Namibia’s economy shrank by -2.3% Compare this to the Eastern African region where most economies are growing at a pace of 6% or more. For instance Ethiopia has had a solid 10 years averaging an annual economic growth of 10.3% As an investor if I look at the figures in the Southern African region and compare them to the ones in the Eastern African one, it goes without saying that I’d invest in Eastern Africa. Simple economics.
Although slightly out of context, dear Go Getter, this too is part of your SUCCESS in life. I would suggest: Become the man first (through personal development and conscious intent) who attracts the woman he seeks. Too many of us are hoping for a lucky coincidence. I wish you all the best!
Thanks for the expose on Kenya. Do note that Kenya has a large vibrant population making it a haven for investors since big markets facilitate faster ROIs and reduce risk. Also,, Kenya ranks highly in tech innovations. This has positioned the country as an innovation hub that's attracted Silicon Valley Start Ups .. Africa urgently needs to "let go " of the Chinese and do local manufacturing, since we have the AfCTA single trade market policy implementation in 2021.
Too restrictive, they’ll force you to cede 50% of your business to a Tanzanian before letting you set up there, you also can’t own land in Tanzania as a foreigner, dual citizenship is also banned, choose wisely if you love your money
Dr. Harnet can you help us with cryptocurrency investing information like Bitcoin?? This is a good passive income to help grow funds and finance our business too. Thank you
who are you and why are you doing this i.e what's in it for you? Are you Kenyan? Do you have your own business in Kenya that you started and become successful?
First off. Rwanda predominantly speak French. Secondly, intellect in labour is almost two in Kenya than Rwanda. Most of the Rwanda highly ranked professionals are from Kenya. What I could say Rwanda beats Kenay in is on how they have managed to stem corruption. But we as Kenya are getting there
oh here we go again!🙄 a sad spirit from Kenia Stop this madness The HONEST truth is, you do NOT have the slightest clue what CORRUPTION is but you shamelessly READY to market your country, with it's fragile economy for the world that Kenya is "corrupt" so that "uonewe huruma/pity baiting" so that you get foreign "assistance". Look around you, all you see is a.) 5% aid b.) 95.5% raw Kenyan effort! so please, stop this madness. Kenya is a more democratic and more transparent society than the United States, but you still disregard and water down your own potential. To whose benefit?? Stop!!!
