Da Lat is a beautiful city about 30 km to Tung Nghĩa. Tùng Nghĩa is my hometown, I left Tùng Nghĩa from early 1989 to America carrying all my childhood memories. I went back to visit in April 2018 and could not believe Tùng Nghĩa looked like a small city. Thương tùng nghĩa quê tôi.
Hey guys, I have to thank you for making this video, because I watched it a few months ago before I came to Vietnam for the first time and now I've been living in Da Lat for 8 months and I just LOVE this city. Green and beautiful, especially now after rainy season, it's sunny and warm. The food, the People, and the vibes are just unique. Greetings from Da Lat!
I’m Vietnamese and I want to just say, after watching all of your Vietnam travel videos, you two are by far the most informative and culturally sensitive/appreciative travelers I’ve come across. People travel and do the touristy things, take the glitzy photos for instagram and are averted to anything too culturally shocking, but you two seem to genuinely want to understand the history of where you travel to, try different foods, interact with the locals, and highlight the locals’ way of life. Thank you for for bringing so much light to our culture. You two truly are the most underrated traveling couple, because you don’t just gloss over the countries you go to and go to the “instagrammable” places for the token of having traveled, you immerse and inspire others to travel the right way.
This is an honor, thank you for the message 🙏🏼🙏🏼We're glad we could showcase such a special country through our lens and have it so well received! Always looking forward to our return to Vietnam 😍🇻🇳
I think the sights out of the city are pleasant, but nothing amazing, but luckily the people are friendly. But overall the city of Dalat is nothing special, and I actually found it a little bit grim and depressing because of the overcast weather that is very common in Dalat. You can actually note this in the first bits of the video. I have to say there are much better places in Vietnam to visit with much better sites and surroundings.
We've been a few times over the years but don't remember exactly how many days we spent each time. Maybe this Vietnam itinerary breakdown video we did could help you decide: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-T3VDNavjqlM.html
if you whenever come back to Dalat, pls call us, we would like to offer free stay and food. Thank you for the wonderful video to introducing about our city's
I was in Da Lat last week! OMG! It’s my favourite place in Vietnam thus far! I love the place, the weather and especially the food! Felt like i was in Paris! Thanks guys for sharing this video! 💕
I did fly directly from bkk to Dalat twice...... Flying from bkk to dalat again next week..... Love the temperature people and especially cheap..... to pay for most of the things there...

I have to say that i love all of you. Thank for being in My country..introduce about DaLat. HCM. HaNoi. NhaTrang. HoiAn My country is veriety of beautiful lands...
I really want to say thank you! I have been living in DaLat for 16 years. That's why when I saw your video, I was really appreciate it! My family have a cute coffee shop near the center of DaLat, it just takes about 5 minutes for you to take a walk from Xuan Huong Lake to our place. If you visit here one more time, I wish you will come to our coffee shop, the view won't let you down, I promise! Anyway, thank you very much for the video!
Just want to thank you guys for this video. My friends and I visited Vietnam after watching this video and we went to the places you recommended. We had a lot of fun. superb! All thanks to you guys. Please continue sharing all the places you've visited along with its foods that you've tasted and the culture you've learned. You are one of the gems to us fellow travelers who aspire to enjoy the best in life. All the best to you two!
HEY GUYS, VERY NICE VIDEO. VERY INFORMATIVE AND GIVING ME IDEAS FOR MY FIRST TRIP TO VIETNAM SINCE 1970 AND THAT WAS NOT A FUN TRIP. HOPEFULLY I CAN FIT VIETNAM INTO MY BUSY LIFE. IF IT TURNS OUT THAT THE THAI GOVERNMENT REALLY DOESN'T WANT FOREIGNERS LIVING IN THEIR COUNTRY THEN I WILL HAVE TO FIND A NEW COUNTRY TO LIVE IN. I HATE THE IDEA THAT I WILL HAVE TO GIVE UP MY LAST 10 YEARS OF LIVING IN THAILAND BUT IT IS WHAT IT IS. I WILL SEE WHEN I GET BACK TO THAILAND ON JANUARY 17TH. IT DOES LOOK NICE WHERE YOU ARE IN THIS VIDEO.
Been following you guys for a year to initially help with our Vietnam trip but after watching so many of your videos, my husband and I decided to take several months off to extend our traveling plans. We are now doing 10 countries and 30 cities. In Saigon now and heading to Dalat next so rewatching all your videos and following on your tail to Thailand after Vietnam. Thanks for all the great content!!
Dalat is really a small beautiful town. Much better than HCMC,you can't find a quiet place in HCMC. HCMC is horrible. while Dalat is pretty and quiet. Wanna visit again.
Ah, the cold and soothing wind calmed me. The sight of the mountains amazed me. The hotels and flora really interested me. Honestly, I’m really grateful being a native Vietnamese, such a beautiful nation and country
One comment: you get fixed price taxi from Lien Khuang airport to Da Lat center with good price from encounter in the airport. Similair price to grab. Worth taking. Always take that, never grab even in center Da Lat grab is working great🎉
Nice fluff piece. All food in Southern Vietnam is great. The coffee actually is not all that. But simply put its a Universally area, sort of like a cool day trip as you would do from the urban city you live in. Nobody uses the airport. It is also famous for having U.S. vietnam war era nuclear facilty. Now back to your fluff piece with horrendous canned music.
Da lat is French village so beautiful mountain. The Montagnard indigenous live there first. Central highland we have 4 province all name by the Montagnard tribes Dalat , pleiku, dak lak , con tum, go to northeast Cambodia we have our tribes live their too they have 4 province too , banlung Ratanakiri, Mondulkiri , kratie, stung treng so sad for Montagnard indigenous there they lost there ancestors land to foreign outside word. Enjoy have a safe trip.
Hi guys I’m wanting to travel from Saigon to dalat but I’m wondering how you purchased your bus tickets , did you get them before you visited Vietnam or did you get them over in Saigon ?
I left Dalat in 1974. Lots of new builds since then. I would like to go back to visit my elementary catholic school behind the cathedral. It doesn’t look like when I was a child but watching these videos bring back so much memories. Dalat is always in my heart, a lovely city. If you haven’t visited, you may want to go. It’s on my bucket list.
Looks like a nice city to visit. Vietnam is my favorite country, but if you are not white, you will not have a good experience like this. Currently in Saigon.
As Vietnamese i appreciated when i watch your vid! I perfect to see your vid than any other because you guys show that you actually have knowledge about the city, culture, cuisine,... and everything. Thank u so much
Great video, sounds, cinematic quality, etc! You two always deliver for viewers. I’ve been using your vids of Lisbon and Porto to help map out me and my boyfriend’s visit come November. 💯
Great stuff! Thanks for the vids. I’ve seen a few now! Been to Vietnam and it was great to see it again! What site are you using for your maps that show red travel lines and airplanes and umbrellas to mark spots? I like it!
Thank you 🙏🏼 We are really excited to share Da Lat with everyone! We just released another video on what to do around the city. Let us know what you think! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sdT8hXvOrIE.html
Only less than 10% of the buildings were build by the French, the majority built after those colonial masters left in 1954 ( after they were defeated by the Viet Minh in Dien Bien Phu)
I will be in Vietnam in February. I usually travel solo or with friends who are more into exploring than doing touristy things but this time traveling with a friends who like to stay in resorts n stuff but i am kind of a thrifty backpack traveler. I mostly walk, explore and like to commute overnight despite my health issues. So i will still do that. Your videos are quite insightful and i love the way you guys travel. On top of it you are covering all the grounds for others keen on visiting Nam. 💕
We are looking for a retirement city and prefer cool weather. I am guessing there are very few English speakers ? Is the city so small that you would get bored after a while ? Thx !
Really depends on how you like to spend your time. Da Lat is obviously smaller than Siagon & Hanoi yet there are a variety of things that can keep you busy and entertained!
Hey Anis- this is a tough question for us because we've never been to Sapa or a honeymoon and we're not strictly on a halal diet. We'd recommend narrowing your selection down by what you find most interesting then digging a little deeper into halal options. Hope you find something you like 😃
Another great informative vlog! One question. How is your intestinal fortitude? I see you're eating a bunch of raw vegetables. Any issues with them being washed in the local water? Keep em coming!
Thank you! Still working on that Pippi Longstocking look on Jen...Don't let the negative comments override the positive experiences. The veggies are usually good after a shake or two. More sink water goes in your mouth when you brush your teeth than what you would ingest while eating a few veggies. We've never had an issue with any food and believe us, we've eaten at some very interesting spots...
We know and that's why we made this video: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-sdT8hXvOrIE.html and this video on food: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-teLmTCwJ0uI.html 😉
