The beautiful lake called Vangsvatnet lies in the center of the municipality, on the southwestern shore of the municipal center of Vossevangen. The Vosso river flows through both Vangsvatnet and Evangervatnet lakes before it empties into Bolstadfjorden by the village of Bolstadøyri to the west.
It is 7.69 sq. km. (2.97 sq mi) in size.
