In today's video, I give you my top 3 keys to beat your defender if they are forcing you to your weak hand! I always tell my athletes you should WANT defenders to "Force You Left". This is a HUGE advantage to the offensive player if you know how to exploit the defense. Scoring the basketball is so important to being successful on the court. These are some of my top pro tips to score on ANYONE! By implementing Why You Should WANT Defenders to "Force You Left" into your game you can almost immediately skyrocket your scoring and your overall basketball skill level!
So my first basketball scoring tip to score on any defender if they are forcing you left is to "Attack the top foot". This is incredibly important when it comes to forcing the defender to open their hips, by attacking the top foot it causes the defense to open up which allows the player on offense to exploit the defender since they are now out of position! If we look at the top scorers in the NBA think of guys like James Harden and Stephen Curry they do a phenomenal job of always attacking the defender's top foot. This allows them to get MASSIVE separation. This is one reason why you see James Harden and Stephen Curry get many ankle breakers it's because they force the defense to open up then hit them with a separation move that is really hard to recover to. So next time you are trying to score the basketball more effectively make sure you attack the defender's top foot!
My second basketball scoring tip when it comes to mastering scoring no matter how the defense plays you is to "Invite Separation". Again this is something we see all the top scorers in the NBA use to get easy scoring opportunities! I have my player work on scoring out of separation moves think of basketball moves like pullbacks and step-backs! These are moves that allow the offensive player to get HUGE separation, allowing the player to get the shot off on pretty much anyone! So in addition to attacking the top foot make sure you are implementing a lot of separation moves into your basketball workouts!
My last tip to scoring more points is to "Use Jab Steps". Jab steps can be incredibly useful when trying to get the defense out of position without even using a dribble. Jab Steps are used by a ton of the top scorers in the NBA think of guys like LeBron, Harden, KD, and Curry! All these players use Jab Steps to get the defender out of position early in the possession giving them so many options to score. If you really want to score more efficiently adding jab steps to your game is an absolute MUST!
As always make sure you are paying close attention to this basketball scoring move so when the time comes you can really expand your game to the next level! Watch the video all the way through and implement these scoring tips into your game today!

thats because to prevent his deadly stepback imagine if your right you love to go left cause your hips are align and when you stepback its align too thats why james harden does going to his right and then stepback so steoph just force him left to prevent his stepback and his harder to stepback then align his hips

Even if you are weaker with your Left, often you only need a dribble or two from it. That is why the UTEP 2 STEP is great. Cross left, then maybe 1 more from your Left and you can Jump-shot or drive with you Right. And if you do get close to the basket, use the Tony Parker Cross-Spin move. Parker, with the ball in his Right, crosses Left (Defender slides) then gathers with Left into spin move right for a layup. Tony Parker, and Allen Iverson, both rarely finished with their Left hands. But you need to be able to get a few dribbles out of it :D

I always tried to FAKE like I was Left Handed. So I could use my crossover to the Right for easy points early before they were tired. If they didn't catch on to what I was doing... after 6 to 8 points they would back off of my to challenge my shot... 4 to 8 points later they were trying to defend me tight. Then I started on the Post Up moves. 4 to 8 points later someone NEW was my Defender and I would go back to FAKING I was a Lefty again. After several years all of the Lefty Dribbling I did I was ALMOST as good with my Left as my Right.

One thing about curry's jumper that you probably don't know is during his palm rotation he doesn't rotate all the way and his guide hand thumb pushes the ball directly on top of his hand all the way that's why when you see curry's shot in slow motion when he thumbs the ball moves even more on top of his hand

As SM said :) I'm a Righty, and it is easier for me to go left + pull up. When a Righty goes right, they have to "Leg Drift" to line up ~ see Kobe Bryant as an example. That is often why it is easier to go all the way and layup when you go right. If you watch many hours of SM, you will see :D
