I feel envious of anyone just discovering this anime now. I'd love to be able to watch it again for a first time. It's just such a beautiful, holistic experience.

The set design is so freaking legendary I found myself aching for this kind of aesthetic ever since watching the show. I feel like the show has defined and created an entirely new mood for me that whenever I experience it can't help but call "Death Parade Feels".

Death Parade is nearly perfect. While yes, it's short, it is fulfilling. To make a sequel would uproot the ending that it has. Although, I wouldn't dislike a few OVA episodes that could take place during the timeline of the show. Much like the Cowboy Bebop film.

I couldn't have foreseen how much of an emotional turmoil this series was for me, not only was it beautiful. It was confronting, but it was worth it. It changed me and my views, it thought me things words couldn't have done on their own. I thank you wholeheartedly for the recommendation Thanks

I can't believe Death Parade was sold badly in Japan. Here I am after 6+ years and still rewatching Death Parade at least once every 2 years. To me this is a gem of a show, placing it in my top 3 together with Redline and Grand Blue. The fact that I had to sit and think after each episode I watched is an achievement I've never experienced with any other show, not even because it's confusing, but simple because of the questions the episodes leaves me with.

I'm sooo late, but i'll give this anime a try! :) This vid deserves way more views too

That opening by NoisyCell (last theater) is so amazing. I love this Anime with all my heart. from the very first episode I knew this was special. thank you for covering it.

I always felt just the same thing: The biggest problem is that there isn't more. But it is so beautiful, so elegant, I don't recommend Death Note to people who want to get into anime, I recommend Death Parade because every episode managed to be a complete story that takes you on a journey.

The only death parade here is among the animators, working in the conditions they do.

This is the best commentary I have ever heard about Death Parade. I was waiting for someone to understand how deeply beautiful this anime is, and how it perfectly succeeds in portraying emotions. It gives depth to the simplest feelings such as sadness, or joy, and illustrates the complexity of a human being and its feelings. It is poetic, philosophical, and it makes us think, about how we fulfilled and are fulfilling our lives. If we are living it the way we want to. How we should fear death, or embrace it depending on our own actions and reflections. And there are so many subtleties we could talk about. Like the religious references, and the names being extremely well thought out, or the bar name being linked to the floor it is in the tower. And the music... I don’t have the words, really. It’s just utterly beautiful. Death Parade, Moonlit Night, Memento Mori, After the Game, Memories, they are all breathtaking. I am really disappointed in Death Parade not receiving the credit it deserves, because it is one, if not the best anime I have ever seen. Mesmerizing. Truly a masterpiece.

Wow! Great analysis. I had to make sure I wasn't watching Hiding in Public. Death Parade is definitely a great show to pick up, and you can finish it in less than five hours.

My only sadness around this anime is that I can't experience the first time watching it again, and that every time I recommend it to someone, they never watch it.

People always say I am dark because I have a nihilistic view towards life and the world. I only watch Psychological,Horror and Thriller anime. My thoughts on Death Parade is that its a masterpiece and we need more anime like it.

This review is pretty spot on. I put off on this anime for many years, and I’m glad I did. If I were to watch it at an immature age I may have not been able to comprehend it. But at 18 I think it was easy for me to understand the themes and the execution of scenes. It was beautiful and honestly the 3rd anime to have made me cry.

I loved this series, with one exception, and that was something that happened towards the end involving a couple characters I liked. It honestly kinda scared me. The show really is good, and I’d recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it.

I loved this series so dearly that I transposed the ice-skating piece to perform on piano. Every now and again, I play it and remember the emotions of this whole series over again.

Death Parade was so beautifully animated and acted. Though it may not be as highly popular as MHA or others, it's still very beautifully dark and sticks with you. I haven't seen the anime again since I cried a lot during the last episode, but I do hope to revisit it.

I find Death Parade is a great example of delivering the main plotline while having another that is clearly meant to continue. It seems to me that the later episodes set up a season 2 focused more on the tower itself while tying off themes of judgment and the value of life. The result is that season 1 feels satisfying but that there's lots of lost potential without a season 2.

Death parade changed my past, my presents and my future. This series basically changed my life and the way i look at certain things in life. I cried, i was angry, i felt jealous, i laughed and so many more emotions death Parade brought out of me. Even emotions i didnt know i had within me. I wouldn't be the person i am today if i had not wachted death parade. I watched the show every Sunday. Unfortunately Netflix removed death parade. I will never forgive them for that.

I really enjoyed your review! I loved Death Parade. I felt it should have been given a chance to grow beyond one season. Even if it didn’t stay following Chiyuki and Decim, there was so much about their environment and their “lives” that left many of us with so many questions. Maybe one day there will be another glance into the “death world” from another show’s point of view.

it was the first anime i’ve watched (excluding the studio ghibli anime that i watched as a kid) and it made me fall in love with anime. it is simply amazing and the story is very gripping and touching! thank you for reminding me about this masterpiece, now i need to rewatch it one more time!

I just finished the show, it’s awesome but at the same time made me feel very emotional especially in the later episodes.

I have said this in other videos reviewing it , death parade is one of the most cynical nihilistic works I can think of. If you win you get reborn if not ..... Well we all know what happens. The huge problem with this is no matter what you eventually won't live a good enough life and your just putting off your inevitable fate until then constantly being reborn suffering through the pains of this world which though there are also joys are fleeting just to die and repeat until you eventually fail.

I freaking love this show sm you describe it so well without spoiling it for others.

What is a work of art, but something to make us feel? Death Parade has made me feel so much and opened new ideals and perspectives to me that it really is one of the best Works of Art there is.

I found this show through its op which was really cool and catchy to me so I decided to watch it. Long story short, I fell in love with it and it is now one of my favorite animes of all time

You should watch and read the Boogiepop series. It's a really cool series.

Death Parade a prefect anime of you belive that there is no heaven or hell after death, but your actions is what determines everything after death, it’s a good anime, don’t recommend to young folks but it’s good if you’re like 15-18+, he explained the story and the plot and if you like it, watch it, it’s very good and all characters have lots of depth and are relatable and well written in their own ways

I just watched the first 5 episodes on my favorite TV channel. I did not expect them to air such dark anime. Usually they broadcast the "family friendly and adventure" type anime. Maybe I will continue watching it later.
