Personally, I don't have a problem with clones as long as the brand name is not faked. I've looked at San Martins best Rolex clone and I've noticed that they have a sword hands version. That is the one I will go for. It's that one step back from being a copy that makes it OK for me.

Two years ago l bought my grail watch and purchased it with my son and grandson present and it was a special moment. Seems people here don’t u derstand the difference between fake/clone watch and homage watch. When you buy a watch that have a brand name on it, but it’s underpriced, it’s most likely a fake/clone watch. Skmei, Berny, San Martin etc are not fake watches. They look like brand name watches but they don’t tend to fool you it’s brand name watches. Those are homage watches.

I've seen so many posts online of people asking if grandpa's watch the real deal, and it always hurts me a little inside when people pointed out it was a replica in the comments.

I recently bought a fake Patek. The Aquanaut 5167a. A friend of mine took me with him to a guy selling these fakes and I couldn't resist. I know, fake watches are bad. But hear me out for a second: 1. Everyone knows it's fake. I'm a 38 year old middle class dad with a 2011 Suzuki as my ride. People know I don't pay 50k$ for a watch. And if a random guy asks me about the watch I immediately tell them "yeah it's a fake". 2. I will never buy a real Patek. So it's not as if I'm screwing Patek somehow. 3. The watch itself is magnificent. It is a beautiful, thin, mechanical watch that fits me perfectly. I really do feel like I own my grail watch. I can't stop looking at my wrist when I wear it. I an genuinely happy when I put it on. 4. The only thing I hate is the fact most 700$ watches out there do not come close to this Chinese fake.

Wasn’t a fan Chinese watches but they have upped the game your getting L316 steel , sapphire crystal, screw down back or open back with Sapphire , screw down crown, 100 to 200 feet water resistance for less than $100 some cases and Japanese movement NH 35 usually or Swiss 2824 eta $200 wow and it looks good polishing or brushing ya in a fan now and there lume like Christmas lights lol like the San Martin watch’s great bargain

I feel like the last question wouldve been better if there was a scenario given like post-apocalypse. Realistically if u think that way i feel as tho the ONLY options are solar quartz or auto. In a post apocalyptic world or being lost in an uncivilized place, there is no need to worry about battery changes.

I have 3 Steeldives, and i have to say i love them. The quality is fantastic, and the look too. I also have a few other brands inc tissot and my latest Citizen eco-drive. Hamilton, Vertex and Sinn are on the list next.

I changed my mind about fake watches. If you have the money for a Rolex and they still refuse to sell you a Rolex, than get a cheap Chinese knockoff because Rolex isn't worth your hard earned money.

Thanks for this q&a. I think question of replica is tricky and definition is grey. Fake is different I think. Fake is looks like real deal but also has the branding. All the rest is a range of designs that are homages which on one end is a near 'copied' almost 1 to 1 and on the other end of this spectrum is a watch "inspired by" a particular watch. I dont have issue with homages but generally avoid homages that are near 1 to 1 in design.

Fake watches: Dont care if you would buy one or not, dont care if its real or not. Its your money and your choice AS LONG AS YOU KNOW IT'S FAKE who cares. If you have a fake and I ask is it real A) is it any of my business B) if they tell me its real, have they done me some sort of injustice? No.... So if you want a fake buy it, doesn't matter others opinions, even if you did it to impress others. If its done to impress others then they too have a problem if they depend on things like that for a person's impression on them. Id buy a fake cause homages normally screw up the look of the original I love but could never afford. You dont like it, dont worry about it, cause I don't. Stay in your lane and you do you and live your better life. Love the channel and the vids and the opinions. Casios rock BTW, Seiko not for me.

A "FAKE" watch is not worth it... A "Homage watch" is a different animal... It isn't trying to "Fool" anyone, just trying to give you a good looking watch at a reasonable price.

Isn't a quartz watch still technically a mechanical watch with the exception of the power source/oscillator. I mean it still has gears and levers to set the time/date, just no winding to keep it running.

Fake watches are a definite no no. I'd sooner have a £12 original Casio than a £300 fake Rolex.

If you want a smaller G-Shock, just buy a Baby G - the JDM models even have the same specs as the regular squares (multiband, solar, 20bar, etc.).

I have the WV-200R-3ACF it is a USA import, and WVA-M640B-1A2JF which is a Japanese import. So much easier having them radio controlled and always exactly the correct time.

It's not ilegal to buy, own or wear a fake watch. It IS ilegal to sell one for personal gain, on the pretence that it is genuine. This is fraud and could get you three years. That aside, I see no problem with fakes. If you like the look of a certain design but can't aford it, have a look at a fake. Make sure it is good quality and aquire from a reputable dealer, just the same way you would with any other purchase. If you do this successfully, you may start to wonder how Rolex etc, have the nerve to charge what they do.😂

Im considering buying a Rolex superclone. A big positive for me is its not a Rolex. I will never, ever, buy a Rolex no matter my financial situation. Subjectively, I despise the company, but acknowledge they do make good watches. Getting a good solid watch without having to defile myself with a real Rolex is perfect.

I would buy a genuine Rolex Daytona then i would feel happy wearing the fake when in Khanistan, err sorry, London. Or any other major city in the UK for that matter. It's a bit like buying the rare collectors edition of a film, keeping it sealed but then downloading a decent digital copy to watch.

I don't understand fake watches - you're lying to yourself, your friends and anyone who sees the watch. If you're running with a crowd who would only be impressed by wearing a Rolex (for example), ask yourself why on earth you would want to be friends with them? Buy a cheaper original branded watch and don't be a fraud. Edit: also waiting for the 'if it gets stolen it doesn't matter' crowd - if a criminal on the street is going to mug you or hit you over the head for your watch, he won't stop to check if it's a 'sUpErClOnE' before assaulting you.
