Why you shouldn't get a pleco for your Aquarium ~ L Number's and Loricariidae 

Loricariidae are frequently seen as the ideal tankmate for many fishes although this couldn't be further from the truth. While many are specialist algae eaters they will not clean an aquarium or fish tank and this can lead to a rather difficult to keep an expensive fish.
These fishes can become limiting in terms of tankmates due to their temperature and dietary requirements. While there are many species available.
Saying all of that they can be kept with a variety of fishes from loaches, discus, smaller cichlids, other catfishes, tetra and Danio.
