Based on my experience, I achieved fluency when I overcame my fear of speaking and changed my mindset, stopping saying, "my English is not enough." Also, I intend to speak better when I feel comfortable, like with friends, chilling out. Because I need to practice continuously, I've been participating in Veronika's speaking club for three months, and I have enrolled in cohort 7. My outcomes are extraordinary because I have to speak English in my job.
Squirrelly - most native speakers would know and use it. It's a great word - like for a bike or a car that doesn't roll straight and suddenly pulls to one side or a person who's acting weird like you're a shop owner and you see someone who looks like they want to steal something. The image of how squirrels act is really perfect here. Eschew - no one would use it in normal speech unless they were being cute and half of native speakers might not know it. Lampoon almost the same *except* there was a magazine The National Lampoon that went on to make some *very* famous movies (animal house, vacation movies and I think caddyshack) *and* these movies were marketed as National Lampoon's Vacation for example, so pretty much everyone would have at least heard the word in that context.
You are also a non-native speaker from russia. However , you reached out the level . Amazing . So we can . And i believe that if a non native one once got to the point which considered native speaker level , they will sound more than a native one although they don't know allthe idioms and phrasal verbs in english . Cuz language is to express ourselves. Now let me know you all wheather i am correct at that point by leaving a reply. 👌🤗
@@girl66622 i don't no but i like chat i will hopes as soon as reply i am sir Lankan you know about my country it amazing and good people i ask where are u form
I like the way you speak English fluently Ms. Veronika. Its very clear, easy to understand for everyone who want to learn that language.its my first time to watched your video.
I see this video, which from what I see, is from a year ago, but I want to tell you something, I saw this video completely in English without subtitles and I understood everything, I am from Mexico but I am currently in the United States, and I have been almost three years without much progress 😢 but thanks to this video I have been encouraged to make better habits about English, I need to talk and get out of my zone of trust, and I will continue watching your videos because they are very very good, you explain very well
I have an ask, why do you say “ā” sometimes? Instead “A lot”, sometimes you say “Ā lot”. Thanks for your tips, i’m improving my listening each day with all of your videos.
I have bits of every reason you listed 😅 however! I'm okay communicating with people. Sometimes I have to repeat or ask for people to repeat something for me and that's okay. My real issue is a client I have in NYC. He's like born and raised newyorker and he speaks so fast and not only that he also THINKS so fast that he makes me nervous. Every time we talk I play catch up with him, take notes, think of a solution to a problem so I can share that with him before we hang up. All at once! Newyorkers are on a different level of speaking 😂
You're better then me because from 2019 when I was 16 years old and when me and my family came to Japan in 2016 December something and that's when I was at q Japanese school for the first time and since I wasn't confident enough to speak Japanese at school that's why I started stuttering so I'm going figure out a way to magically stop stuttering
well, something hinders my progress, and i know what is that. that’s my laziness and lack of free time. why free time lacks? because of spreading my attention to very unimportant and negative things. what should i do with it? just stop wasting time on unimportant things and stop being lazy. the problem solved.
Respected Veronika, you seem to be prioritizing your business over providing us with new teachings on your RU-vid videos! We are unable to attend your sessions, so we rely on your RU-vid channel to learn something new! Your videos are lengthy, and a significant portion is dedicated to your club. Why don't you share everything here?
Hello teacher Veronika I trust you doing amazing day. With a lot of pleasure to follow your RU-vid channel l appreciate how you help us specially to me I love you.
No. It's does not sound familiar to me at all. Not by any means. What is currently familiar is people who have lived, are borne and grown in the United States of the Americas. But still want the USA to be a third world hell.
I wanna join ur club but it's not free and i can't pay I hope to practice with someone but I can't find anyone who practice with me..idk what i do Plz help me Veronica to find a solution 😔😢
*I want to share whith you about my complications! The reason is I`m a slowman from childhood by nature. Therefore I speak slow even in my native Russian. When I speak Russian usually people urge my or loose wish to listen me. Almost every word in my speacking I find and pick up like from a deep poket. Actually this problem uncovers when I speak English whith Eng speakers but more and more seriusely! I know a lot of words and frases, I can bild sentenses. But my mind recollects it unimprobably slow! My speaking broadcusts with great strain and effort because I warry. And I can`t speak by another way!* *Several years I try to immerse myself into Eng environment howewer people usually don`t want to continue active sommunication whith me. They give me a common advise: "You speak well but you need more practise". Of course thank to people for this advise I listen every time but I hope our short conversations will be a good practise. But unfortunatelly my hopes often crash. I realise people send me to another ones saing me advise like that. So I can`t immerse enough into Eng groops. Sorry for my low-level writing! ) Well, could you tell me what should I do to improve my Eng speaking skill?*
It’s easy for you to say is the most common excuse people make. They haven’t actually put their effort into something they want. Plus everything is difficult at the beginning and no one is good at something they’ve just started. You gotta always look for a new way of doing something to help improve your skills. And instead of saying there’s no opportunity to speak english, you ask yourself how can I find the environment where i can speak english? Always be positive guys. Just don’t be an excuser that’ll make you look miserable.
Currently I'm full, at least i can develop my thoughts easily and to describe my whole day freely. Although, i have difficulty in to understand some english learners. It's crazy because nowadays i can listen to podcasts about soccer and to understand.. when the video is talking about lessons.. it becomes easier. By the way thank you so much for you tips, i achieved a good level.. i already read a bunch of advanced books level. And also my goal a few months ago was to pick up words whom is used daily on the street, at supermarket something like that. See ya, like a Brazilian student I'm glad today because of all of it.
I don't know this pretty girl but once I pressed the button to watch I felt amazing and relieved, she helped me out to be eager to keep on learning this magic language. Thanks so much 😍 😍 😍 😍 😍
if you plan to stay in Mexico for longer you are doing yourself a disservice by not knowing Spanish, I think you like the country, but if you speak Spanish you will love it, you will have a totally different experience. Plus if you go back to Europe you can have a blast in Spain too (where there are many Russians too btw), so you're killing many birds with one stone :)
