These two videos solve the problem. My xbox had been crashing since season 2 dropped, was able to play after following ALL the steps in these two videos. The game does run smoother than it has ever been. The buy box constantly froze, game would kick me out when trying to launch to home screen, would have the demon gun, would also get rendering issues….all resolved. Now my only issue is game will freeze for a few seconds when you first drop in. So fixed 95% of major issues. I can live with the random drop lag for now. Bohzi I have both and the ps5 clearly runs way better and I had zero issues on ps5 now my Xbox Series has a ton of problems I come across I literally get kicked out of a game and sent to home screen at least once a gaming session. It happened the first time I traded salvage with a guy in his ship A cold reboot fixed it. Maybe you got a defective Series X but I returned my shitty PS5 right away. Yes, but it won't be OPTIMIZED for it! If you get last gen cold war on Series X, it'll be slower than it cpuld be, no 120hz, no hdr, and lower frames, and not taking advantage of that direct storage.

@@hassyboy11_ Thanks man, and yes, only black ops cold war works. I tried launching MW2 and it put me into a lobby and into a game but immediately in the game the xbox crashed a shut off. I tried playing MW and warzone but the game shut off the xbox immediately without even launching.

I mostly play cod zombies and fortnite but I'll try and think of more ways to help you .but so far maybe the best possible solution will be if you try the different insider hub systems cause I have no idea when xbox will be able to fix things problem could be a few months or even a year

@@hassyboy11_ Hey I appreciate your feedback, but don't use the bro lingo with me thanks. I build computers, there are many things that can cause a game to crash. 1. Limited HD space, 2.Not enough memory if something is running in the background. 3. Processor getting hot. 4. Bug in OS. 5. Graphic processor or memory getting hot. And the list grows, however there isn't any magic app like what you are pushing that magically stops games from crashing. Other than having the normal interface to keep your games updated its just a basic information app and nothing more. Now I'm not saying it didn't resolve your problem, maybe it did receive an update that your systems updater didn't receive right away. That's generally internet issues going through ports to connect. Granted Microsoft has always had a buggy updating system. But you see I didn't start having issues with Prototype until I started installing more games filling my storage space. More games means more scans for updates which causes your system to use more memory since automatic updates is turned off. I'm willing to bet if people turned off automatic updates they'd see their crashing problem go away. You see your Xbox series x is constantly searching and talking to Microsofts services to see if there are any new updates and that includes your system updates. For me I have close to 200 games installed which means my system has to take longer passes to check each game. But hey if what you did solved your problem then that's good news. However don't rule out that it wont ever happen again. I don't know how many games you have installed so every crash is going to be different for each individual unless it's a hardware issue, software issue with the older generation games. The point is there should be other work arounds which is why I'm posting this information because your fix may or may not work for another person. In all fairness your fix my cause someone else to waste their time frustrating them even more. This way a combined effort by you, me or some other poster can offer better technical advice or atleast some useful information to pin point their problems. Anyhow I hope this information contributes to fixing your bad experiences.

I did help loads of people trust me and yes there was a few that it didn't help cause there was other problems as well with there xbox some returned it and some had hardware problems which is different to this .well that's good to build computers. @@hassyboy11_ If all my other attempts don't work I'll consider it. I only had that one instance of a crash. Prior the game played without issues and the only thing that changed was me adding all those other games. I haven't had a crash since then and I've already moved the game over to the external drive. No point putting an app on my drive if the problem works goes away. But rest assured I'll keep it in mind should it come down to it should the problem arise again.

Sometimes it can be the xbox and cause of the whole covid thing that they didn't work properly on the xbox .The game on xbox struggles to run at 120fps hopefully soon they will fix it and work on it better .
