Why Your Hitbox Is So Important On Apex Legends

I'm sure the video will be good for getting folk to start considering their hitbox when using cover. But i think it would be really cool to do a series showing all headglitches and how to fight at each POI. In ranked i pretty much land at 1 of 3 spots per map and so my squad and i are extremely comfortable fighting at those places. But other places i very rarely ever visit. I still havent been to any of the new POIs on worlds edge lol

Another thing to consider is width. Vantage is short but wide. Horizon looks like she is tall but skinny? Pathfinder looks tall and skinny too. It would be great if they can be listed according to width because it's easier to shoot wider (even though short) characters compared to skinny(even though tall) characters

I can’t stand horizon it’s already bad enough that they got a confusing hit box and enhanced movement control. I swear I alway lose to them either because they moving too much or their hit box is so small the bullets don’t even count even though it’s hitting her. Either they buff her hitbox or reduce her movement. Horizon is just an exploit at this point

@@pruittgaming3633 yes indeed. Sometimes it even feels like you have no aim assist when you’re shooting at her. Then when you do shit on them they glide as soon as you break them and you have to do it all over again because of their free reset that takes no skill. On top of the fact that they’re constantly holding hands and they are the first ones in the fight that if you don’t deal with them fast they’re gonna comeback and shoot you when you’re unaware fighting their teammates as they now have full health once again and will go straight for you if you’re the one that shit on her right before her team saved her, because of how toxic most horizon maines are. But that’s what she is in the game for, for the low iq toxic people that can’t hang. Stupid people gotta have fun too. Or else the game would lose too much money and ppl. Unfortunately for the people that learned the game with actual skill and intelligence or improvising.

They don't. But visually can look very different. Compare some of Pathfinder's legendary skins to his default skin

@@konchy yeah I was just wondering cause one of my pathy skins has a big head compared to the default or my other main skin for him

All same rate, just careful as the movement "feeling" feels different because of height & FOV. Focus on the hands and when they appear or when you see guns sway before you try and slide.

This is why they removed Wraiths Naruto type run. But agreed some can be tricky to understand their movement. Especially the smaller legends.

@@Dazs Sure wraith is still the harder to hit but pathfinder too

if they were all equal you could get hit where you’re not as wraith and sat gibby you might shoot the outer parts of him and get no tag because of the equal hitbox

But he has fortify, and you should never be aiming to fight people 1v1 in the open with him

It was not a perfect set up. Players were getting impatient. Was hard actually getting 24 people into a empty server and get on specific legends.

Character equipment does not count as part of the hitbox, which is why wattson is one of the smallest characters. Wattsons gen and hoodie arent part of her hitbox either which why shes so hard to hit and pretty good in 1v1s. The valk in question also has her heirloom out which has her taking a wider stance but shes definitely a medium sized character while pathfinders hit box is actually slightly wider than his character model specifically for the legs. Also sidenote, devs confirmed that skins do not alter hitboxes. Which is why back in season 2 they had to edit a lot of pathfinder skins because they made his character model bigger than his hitbox, so bullets would clip through his model but not hit his dumb spaghetti string hitbox inside.

@@courtneyrock6202 it many not count as hitbox but some skins definitely don't help . In the visual clutter mess that is Apex , if you have a pathfinder with neon skins flashing like xmas tree you can definitely lead and keep track of the target easier rather if the path's using a non flashing and darker skin like the one called "Deep Sixed " . Another example is bloodhound's skin " Feral's Future " . It's like their head is a chandelier and it makes it so easy to headshots and to keep track .

She is tall, I think she needed to be switched with Vantage, Vantage is quite call. But I think Horizon is taller but slightly thinner than others.

@@Dazs Horizon's like a long skinny rectangle, whereas Vantage is like a gigantic square. Vantage is almost as square as spongebob

He’s the same height as rev and gib but yea his hitbox is a lil smaller because he’s so skinny and doesn’t have fortified or much of a passive period.

@@isaiahevans4930 A little smaller than than gibby and newcastle but Pathfinder and revenant have the two biggest hit boxes out of all the legends without fortify

@@MakinaMakinaMakina true. Model wise I’m pretty sure pathy is actually the tallest. Which is odd cuz the lore has him at like 6’1 while rev is at 6’8😂 obviously the exact heights are made up tho lol

I thought about doing screenshots and photoshopping them all for comparison. Will need to hire someone for the work because my photoshop skills SUCK lol. But that could be a part 2. I wanted to think high level though on the concept. Long as you are thinking of it, then that is really the best step forward.
