A business only does 2 things: get customers, and keep customers. The quality of your ad copy, being the first impression most people get of your company, seems like it is at least 90% of getting new customers (45% of your entire business!). Being cheap in this department reveals youthful ignorance, abject stupidity, or a healthy combination of them both!

Dan i just graduated college but I'm broke. Is copywriting a skill i should devote myself to for a while and try to master so I can get started like you did? Or have times changed? I don't want to sell my soul to a 9-5 company yet which is why I watch your videos. I want to work for myself.

I'm a writer with a Master's and I can tell you, people usually spend almost nothing on writers. They think anyone can write so it's not worth paying much for a writer. And I've even seen people hire a kid who has not even finished college to write and ignore someone like me with decades of experience. They don't think. They forget good written copy can do a lot to help them. Writers and writing are undervalued so much.

The need to sell yourself leads people to start talking about theirselves. If you want to sell yourself, tell them what their benefits will be. Don't tell them about you; tell them what you will do!

Most influencers hire you not for one sales page but multiple. Why would they want to lose a valuable resource to pay less for one product when, if they don't have you for future products, it costs them more money?

At the start I said to myself, "The biggest problem is the copywriter is not thinking about the customer, rather thinking about getting money quickly." Looks like those other successful copywriters I'm reading agree with Dan. Great.
