WHY YOUR SNARE DRUM SUCKS 

This is what I’ve been saying forever! No one shows how to put the snare wires back on after tuning! You did and thanks!!

Great instructions! Thanks man. I use a Pearl Sensitone (steel) currently. I have a few others. A PDP Maple that is part of my kit, another PDP (M5) maple, a Premier 2000 (1970) chrome on brass with parallel strainer, and a Tama Imperialstar King Beat. I intend on using the Premier mostly in the future, but I want to do a good refurb on it first. So I have several already after only playing for 6 months. Oh yeah, I forgot my trusty Pearl M80! I play around with having a second snare. Usually the M80, but sometimes a wood snare and a steel. What I really want to do is get a SNOM and put it where my 14 is. Or convert my 14 into a SNOM so it matches the rest of my kit. But I am scared to screw it up. 😄😂🤣 PS I'm Pretty sure that the Imperialstar was named by George Lucas.

I have a Pork Pie Little Squealer (6.5 x 14) and I just replaced the stock snare wires that came with the drum with Puresound Super 30 snare wires. I had been struggling getting it to sound good, and the 30 strand snare wires sound a lot better to me than the stock wires (I think it came with a 16 or 20 strand?). I also switched from a heavy batter head (I had been using an Evans EC Reverse Dot head) to a coated Emperor and wow that made a huge difference. It sounded so dead and flat with the Evans EC head, with the Emperor it is much more crisp and snappy, I love it. The Emperor isn't as durable as the Evans EC, but I'd rather buy a new head more often and have it sound good. It would be cool if you made a video about the different kinds of heads and how they sound. I like your videos, thank you!
