Thanks, I'm glad you found it helpful! Sounds like they could be unbalanced cables, you might want to grab some TRS cables! If that doesn't do the trick, you've narrowed it down to your monitors, interface, or something inside your DAW. But hopefully it does the trick! :)

my experience with my first studio monitor + unbalanced cable setup (presonus eris 3.5) is that the system crackles after it puts itself into away or shutdown mode so i come back after sleeping and there is a really high chance that there will be crackling in the monitors. What has fixed it every time has been just resetting my computer. Balanced cables coming in the future to avoid the annoyance though

have replaced everthing, speaker leads (high end balanced) cords, power supply, computer leads, usb cable. I ve re installed the software...everything but cannot get rid off the mosquito sound buzzing!

That would be frustrating! Sounds like you've narrowed it down quite a bit. If you've troubleshooted all the connections, it could be faulty monitors. I'd check in with the distributor or manufacturer at this point!

Same here... Did you ever figure it out? I know it's not my monitors. Tested in separate location with no buzz. Wifi router? Video monitor?

Still got a nasty buzz in DAW studio monitors with shielded cables. NOT "crystal clear sound". Any other suggestions?
@Gusativo

If its a nasty buzz it might be something more serious, like a bulging capacitor. Might be worth to take it someone who understands electronics to take a look.

yo bro so I use balance cable I just bought Yamaha hs8 I know it not the wire or speaker cause it did this with my other speaker aswell and I made sure to go to guitar center just to get right cable and my speaker still have a ugly crackle just on my right side when im not playing nothing and then when I turn up the volume anything more then 25 to 50 percent its like distorted sound real loud what can I do

Sorry to hear it’s giving you trouble. Try switching the right speaker to the left side and the left to the right. If the problem persists on the right side and you’ve already ruled out the cable, then you’ll know if it could be your interface, speaker selector, or whatever is next in line. If the crackle switches sides with the speaker, then it probably is that speaker. Given you’ve already swapped out the wires. Hope this helps and good luck! :)

Brother one monitor sounds Great but the other one sounds bad why?
@audioedges
@audioedges 8 месяцев назад
If you've already switched out the cable, I'd check the back to see if you monitors have any EQ, volume or other settings. Sometimes you can bump a knob or button on the back while moving things around, so you'll want to make sure they're both matching. Does that help?

this is helpful! I sometimes have to work without an audio interface tho. Would you know what to do in that case? For example, my mic is connected to the computer via usb and my earphones are connected directly on the mic itself. Recordings have no problem but I hear the crackle as I monitor my own speaking voice so it's distracting :( . Would getting TRS earphones solve that? thanks so much!

The stereo plug on your headphones kind of looks like a TRS only it's not. Really, it is two unbalanced signals with a common ground. Try plugging into your computer instead. I bet the noise is coming from the mic amplifier (the one your headphones are plugged into).
