The difference with Prince is, he wasn't MADE to wear those heels....it was HIS choice, his swag. To Katts point, is that these black men wasn't even THINKIN bout wearin a dress, but CONFORMED to do so.
Cause it was Prince's look from the beginning. The very beginning! He didn't start in one direction then change all of a sudden. He was the same beginning til the end.
Ricky Smiley wasn't made to wear anything. That was HIS character. Martin wasn't made to wear anything. That was HIS character on HIS show. Same thing with everyone on In Living Color, a Black show.
@Pinnacl3 Right, and I don't recall him saying anything negative Keenan, and as for Martin, Mama's House wasn't HIS.....when he did Shenanay, it wasn't a prob because HE was in charge and could control the NARRATIVE of the funny...but for Big Mama's house, he wasn't in charge, and when white people control the "funny", WE end up being the joke 💯
SALUTE TO KATT WILLIAMS... He EXPOSED The HATERS, WEAK LINKS & THAT BROTHAS NATIONWIDE got Serious INTROSPECTION & HOUSE CLEANING To Do... P E A C E...
Smh I see people saying this nonsense over and over. The difference is Prince CHOSE to where whatever vs the higher ups dangling your career and lively hood in your face if you don't wear a dress
@@kofiasanteGHNo It was Prince decision alone to wear that. Comedians don’t wake up and say “I’m gonna wear a dress today.”There are people that persuade them to do it and that’s the difference.
@@UPxYOURs2 YOU DONT KNOW THAT!!! Lol it’s crazy how absolute about some shit y’all don’t know for sure. Martin decided to dress like a girl on his show it wasn’t no producers giving him that idea
Katt was talking about selling out. It's like being disappointed with a downl low man versus accepting someone who's openly gay. It's not a out the dress. It's about selling out. Prince was himself. What man who's confident in himself would respect that especially a creator
@@SlinkyD singing isn’t the only way to communicate a message. But you know this. Some took Prince’s androgynous image and became homosexual. Let’s be real.
Katt is not the only actor 2 say this. Its time 4 black folks to let celebrities go. READ THE COMMENTS WICK if u don't want to research. This stuff been going on since sammy davis jr & b4 him.
Wick, your mic drop on Prince is a smoke screen. Prince came into the industry being PRINCE. The comdians Katt named act one way behind the scenes but betray something different when offered a big check. Now here's a mic drop for you Wick. Why don't you bring Cee-Lo on the show and ask him why did he put on a dress in his Gnarls Barkey days? You have a new video dropping with him soon so there's no reason why you can't get ahold of him to ask the question. FYI, I'm a HUGE Cee-Lo fan so this is in no way to throw him under the bus. You just talking out the side of your neck so let me see if you can pull off bringing Cee Lo on to ask him about wearing the dress.
@@melvinlimbrick3586 You actually think it’s not linked to insurance plans from music contracts, wow. They will use you to kill you and claim it’s you that did it.
I disagree with you all - Kat spoke the truth. He only responded to people talking trash about him. Don't be a bully if you can't fight. This is the age of social media - this is a perfect way to sell out a tour. Also, too many of our folks have sold their soul but don't even tell us and we are believing the lies they tell about themselves (Diddy and others). Let's get back to the basics - honesty.
How do you know when Katt is lying or telling the truth??😂 You know him that well😂 how do you know Puffy sold his soul? Did he tell you that or the person who bought it told you that?😂 How much they pay Puff for it, lol
Wicked be misinformed like hell. Katt was responding to what most of those folks had said about him. Wicked who are you to justify someone else's truth.
Everybody trying to pick apart what kat said, Kat spoke his truth whether we agree with it or not, and this "Cap" everyone keeping saying, who ain;t capping, and Wicked, your point of view is just ridiculous.
@@CG-uk1vz Reckless, you're part of the problem, believing these celebrity have no flaws, he just gave you a small taste of what happens in Hollywierd.
B high u a hell of a personality and interviewer u a real fan of the music first from underground to major music artists, keep doing your thing bruh !! 💯
Prince did in part pattern his thing off little Richard except prince created his own vision and did it through his work and vision. However prince wasn't cheeks for checks booty for looty. He did what he pleased and was talented period unlike Katt Williams.
Actually, they all been beefing for years. The other comedians like DC Curry already said what Katt said about the main comedians he went after-are true. Kevin Hart went on The Breakfast Club and slandered Katts character. He made claims he lost deal because he was on drugz and so forth. Micheal Blackson went on Drink Champs and said Katt was on “crk” but then later said he didn’t mean to say that. Cedric, Steve, and Ricky went in Club Shay Shay and brought up Katt’s name and Steve and Katt just always had beef because of how Steve treated Bernie Mac. Comedians were saying Katt was on drugz, and tried to make him seem like he was crazy. Shannon reached out to Katt to see if he wanted to respond and share his side of the story. If you watched the full interview, Katt addressed those claims made by other comedians. Also, Katt had always been a “roast” comedian, he talks about everybody-he been doing that for at least 19 years.
@@msbeautyboss3784 Not true. Comedians who speak bad on Katt Williams "publicly" are only defending themselves from Katt being what he's always been, a wannabe bully. Kevin's interview on the breakfast club was only a "response" video to Katt Williams dissing Kevin Hart and Tiffany Haddish earlier. Katt has ALWAYS hated on Kevin Hart because he can't stand the fact that Kevin used his comedy skills and made a lot more money than Katt ever could. And who cares about what DC Curry said. That's just one comedian. All them have cliques. But this is the bigger question. Since Katt is supposed to be so real, why does he only try to assassinate black people? If he feels Kevin Hart is a plant, why don't he blasts the white executives who are robbing black people of these opportunities. He won't because he's the typical wannabe bully. He pick and choose who to attack and it's always easy to attack black people.
Wicked didn’t really listen to the interview. Katt specifically said he “pays” people to tell him what was going on in the parties and who was with who……….
I liked Wicked at first when y'all were debating music. I didn't always agree with his takes but he was funny. I think that time has passed now though. He just be saying any ol thang
The issue black men have with comedians and dresses is unfortunately just ingrained homophobia. As B-High rightfully said, white comedians/actors BEEN doing it cause it's ACTING. We the only goofy's out here thinking sexuality is like fashion to be switched up like hoodies or some sh*t.
It's not that, is the fact that black people have not been able to step outside of stereotypes given . Black people are seen as one monolith. Wow white people have the ability to be as individualistic as they want. Because if one black person does something that stereotype is given to all of us. Until we see ourselves as individuals and not is a group things like this will be present
As a gay black woman, I disagree. We can never compare ourselves with any other culture in this country. Equal, but not the same. There’s a long embedded history of emasculating our men dating back to slavery. This isn’t about homophobia or sexuality. Don’t be fooled by the language.
@neverinthehistoryof8010 ok, how SPECIFICALLY does this emasculate black men? People quick to throw that out there without the specific "cause & effect." I didn't think playing "Shenene' emasculated Martin Lawrence, and it didn't make me want to put on a dress. So, how exactly does this take away real-life masculinity for us, but is just an acting role for other ethnicities?
ay if prince was wearing open toed heels, that wouldve been one thing...but sly stone, jimi hendrix, james brown, the isley brothers and many more used to wear boots and platforms with heels back in the day, too, and no one was trippin!
I think the artist wore dresses for the humor. I don't think anyone MADE them wear them. I actually liked Sha Nae-Nae (Martin) and Wanda (Jamie), Cedric as the old lady, The Klumps (Eddie Murphy) and a few others. I think they were funny. I didn't feel like these characters tore down the black man's masculinity.
Katt just talks like a confident man who hasn't been compromised. It feels good to beat your chest knowing them people can't drop a video with you in a bad light.
@@2KGrind09If said video existed wouldn't you think the industry elites would've already exposed Katt Williams by now 😂??? Katt been calling out the industry since the beginning...
Wick, Prince never wore a dress. I can admit as talented as the brother was, as a kid I've always looked sideways because of fashion choices, but Prince never wore a dress.
I agree call out the haters hell naw they don't have a right to hate behind closed doors on the real salute to the ATL panel my second home just subscribed ❤😊
Grown men conversations. Love how you all agree to disagree. Need to give lessons to all these sensitive Internet personalities. “B-High don’t tap dance for nobody”…always cracks me up!
Larry Johnson starring as “Grandma Ma” was da first person i saw as a child in a dress, far as Prince It ain’t a pimp or player in da 70’s dat wasn’t rockn boots wit heels on em wit dey bell bottoms now idk bout da cheeks hangn out
@BangemJ he did but most can't see it or refuse to hear it. One person is never 100% correct so it's good to hear and understand all sides but most don't want to take the time to do it. It is what it is
Prince wore high heels cause he was freaky as hell and different. Them people Katt called out wore a dress cause a 👨🏼🦳 paid them that’s a big difference
It's true but Prince was always dressing like that from Day One. He wasn't paid to be feminine. He wasn't paid to bend over. It's a difference. Get out ya emotions gangsta gangsta
Katt came after the ppl who had his name in their mouth...point blank period. Someone come at you sideways, you're gonna want to respond too, especially when you know the person.
With prince and Michael Jackson, ppl put stipulations on them calling them gay, and most feel that way so it was excepted, cat meet prince at a young age, so if he's been friends before he put on hills, wig etc besides that's prince, it's not those ppl Katt mention
