Olivia Coleman had a 4 minute scene in The Bear and almost stole the whole episode, even surrounded by the amazing actors there. Her QE2 in The Crown is a master class in acting. She's so amazing, I can't wait for this movie!
I hated that bit in The Bear where she described her success as coming to her by sheer chance and luck but contrived to make it look like she'd worked hard. Maybe that was the point but if it was everyone seems OK have misinterpreted it, which I can only lay the blame for at Coleman's one note acting performance. Worst part of the whole, otherwise excellent, series.
@@drumgold23 that wasn't the point of her scene at all---it is about having the right perspective so that you are open to opportunities when they come. Yes there's an element of serendipity in walking down the right street at the time or meeting the right person at the right moment, but none of that exempts you from having to work to the bone to actually achieve success. That is really the point of that entire episode. You not understanding that has nothing to do with Colman's terrific performance in that part.
Ha! Someone pretty much wrote a film for Olivia Colman where she gets to be Olivia Colman. This is going to be spectacular fun, and Colman will also be a joy on Graham Norton's sofa talking about it.
Obviously you've never seen the 8 seasons of Peep Show, the funniest comedy show ever written by the Succession guy, that she starred in. It's so good.
This movie is one of those you need to watch with other people in the theatre so you all can laugh at the same time. This is why I love comedies and horror films.
The gleeful buildup of it all had me literally screaming out loud at "It's German" 😂😂😂 I almost never see any new movie trailers I'm interested in these days but can't wait to watch this one!
Knowing how much Olivia Coleman and Jesse Buckley love each other, this must have been an absolute blast to film! I love them both, and I'm so excited for Anjana Vasan since Killing Eve.
Jessie Buckley and Olivia Colman reuniting for a movie? Sign me up, always interested to see what else Jessie does in the future especially for a comedy movie since she's very funny and likeable in interviews 🤗
30 seconds into this trailer and when a female police officer appears on screen, the film is historically inaccurate from then on. Maybe the female police offer time travelled from 1965 to Victorian England. Maybe?
@@voxcodasynthe Why would you attempt to lecture other people on historical accuracy when you yourself seem to have trouble differentiating between the 1920s and the Victorian era? Almost as if it's really not the history you care about
I caught this at a local theater on Saturday before it goes mainstream (and I’m assuming to the general public. It wasn’t an advanced private screening), BUT let’s just say our two leading ladies are comedy GOLD! I left the theatre laughing and crying. 🤣😭 Thank goodness Olivia Coleman is one of the producers!
The skirt pull up got me dying in the movies I was just sitting down and the 1st ad before the mean girls movie was on (I watched mean girls) and when I was hearing all the cuss words like: b** f** f***ing and when that ended I was alright but then a girl was running and she lifted her skirt up 😂😂 I swear that has to be a 15 😂
Can't wait to laugh continuously! Olivia & Jesse again in an opposite type of movie, from the profoundly serious, moving, emotional Lost Daughter to the epitome of comedy!!!!
