Someday I want to creat a graduated lighting bar which would mount to the hopper lid and display the current pumping speed. The Achilles heel to this however, mixer driver has to actually be looking at it/paying attention 😂😂😂
This unit does pretty good with EOC engaged so long as the slump is nice and wet. With stiffer mixes however I’ve found that the RPM tends to surge a fair bit with EOC engaged, in which case, and has you had pointed to, it works much better manually setting revs to the limiter for sure 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Our 56Z with EOC engaged does pretty well with most any mix. It’s on a Mack chassis, this 38-5 is on a Peterbilt. I’m thinking it could vary a fair bit from chassis to chassis, depending on powertrain configuration.
Not sure if you already have a video on this but can you do a video (whenever the time comes) of how you deep clean a concrete pump? Simple video but I dont see one like it anywhere on youtube
We have a hot-wash at our yard which quite literally melts grease away (and unfortunately paint sometime too). I’ll grab some footage next time we’re cleaning up one of the rigs 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
@@canadianconcretepumper1979 I highly recommend Schaeffers Turbo Red for cleaning. A 5 gallon pail dilutes like 20-1 and when used through the chemical valve on your hot wash, it will clean like crazy but will not affect paint. I use it on out personal vehicles, Concrete pumps, wood splitter, etc. Works excellent and I believe I had our mixer valve set at 7-1 for a while. Definitely something to check out if you like things to be clean.
I prefer not to use it when pumping relatively wet mud as that quick snapping/slapping action can be a little harder on the pipe hangars. This 38-5 boom is very forgiving in terms of bounce. Our 56-5 I do play around with POH when the mixes get a little stiffer as it can calm the boom down a good bit.
