We want every barefoot shoe we try to be wide, right? Well, the Be Lenka Eazy slip-on takes the cake in that category. The barefoot shoe game is an awesome one to play, and trying different styles and shapes is all part of the fun. I have really loved these shoes from Be Lenka and I bet you will too!

if anyone is checking for some be lenka shoes anyas-shop is running a summer end sale on some. one thing to note don't just follow the im normally x size in usa shoe so 9=42eu for all brands as it can vary. Its much better to just know what the lengths of your feet are and then add anywhere from .5 to 1.2cm of extra length over that. vivo has a pretty handy tool on there site that will give you measurements of your foot if your unsure

Great view brother! Been getting in DEEP to the barefoot shoe community and starting my journey of freeing my feet. I have had my eyes on BeLenka's and Feelgrounds for a bit. I just picked up a pair os Splay Freestyles and they were a bit too funky shaped toe box for my liking. Definitely something to get used to moving away from Vans and other normal shaped shoes! Thanks for all you do, killing it with the videos! Would love to connect with ya!

So are you saying the Splays are very wide? They look pretty normal on the website. I'm looking for the widest shoes I can get.

Excellent review. Love the visual comparison of the model widths. My top barefoot brands: *RealFoot (the widest) *Belenka/Barebarics *Vibram FiveFingers *Freet *Topo Athletic *SoftStar has some real potential. Good quality shoes-- SwitchBack is a great boot (bit too low in volume). They just need some adjustments in my opinion.

Great video! Thank you. Was going to mention that I agree with everything you stated about the width of all the company's shoes. When I switched from my pointed Reebok and Rockport shoes and sneakers, I initially purchased just Xero sneakers and they felt great. BUT after 45 days of using those shoes, I started noticing that the Xero shoes were pressing up against my big toes. The only one pair of shoes that really felt perfect were my Lems Primal Zen 2 shoes. I also ordered and tried Vivobarefoot shoes and the updated newer designs that Vivobarefoot make NOW extend out the large toe area more like Lems and Belenka, but they are very expensive. So I only go on eBay to get them when I can. On a side note, the toe spreaders that you're using seem to be flipped. Did you do that on purpose? Again, thanks for the video.

Excellent review. It’s much appreciated! How would you describe the grip and durability of the outsole. I spend a lot of time on linoleum and appreciate good grip. It seems vibram soles do the best with grip on that surface. Would the BeLenka compare? Or would they slide all over the linoleum?

Thanks for the review! I own Prio and they rub the side of my pinky toes too. I had to remove the insoles for extra room. Splay Freedom are wider as well as they wrap my narrow heels better. I wear them for my long walk and even tried to run in them a bit.

The Splays are fantastic. They have a very wide toe box, however the center and back are a bit narrower which is very helpful for those that are narrower in that area. Some of the super wide ones are wide for the whole foot.

@@docksloan I think Splays are fantastic and reasonably priced. The sole on the larger sizes is a bit thicker than some barefoot shoes. However, they still are flexible and provide good ground feel. Now that I am more used to barefoot shoes I have been trying some with thinner soles to further strengthen my feet.
@JohnMoseley

@mamabear9389 2 года назад
@@JohnMoseley Good question! I cannot find that either. I believe this may be discussed in Anya’s review of them. However, it should be on the web site. I am not seeing it though. Mine are 10w and I thought they are say 6.5 mm thick but not sure. They seem very flexible and I don’t notice a huge difference from my Freet 4mm soles.
@JohnMoseley
@JohnMoseley 2 года назад
@@mamabear9389 Thanks, that's helpful. I sometimes think flexibility is more important than thickness. Unusually for me, I wear my Freets with the insole in (because it's their amazingly comfortable ortholite insole) and that brings it up to around 7 anyway. Will have a look at Anya's review.

I tend to like tie shoes for better adjustability. I have a wide forefoot but arch and heel are narrower. My foot is also not too deep also so I appreciate laces to tighten up the shoe where needed.

sadly some of the barefoot shoes ive tried are pretty narrow. Whitin on some of there modles like the cross trail or trail shoe ive found a mens 10 or 43 eu to be 92mm at the widest which is pretty narrow as far as shoes go. I think be lenka has the right idea tbh we want our toes to splay and be wider over time so why not leave room for them. Tbh I wish vivo made a wider toe box primus lite 3 but the be lenka champ is pretty similar both in price and looks

Freet also tends to be wider on the barefoot scale. I have two Freet models and have lots of toe room for my super wide forefoot. I have been tempted to try Belenka but wonder if there may be too much depth for my foot. Anya’s reviews has a great post which lists all barefoot shoes from most narrow to most wide.

I depend heavily on my Freet Connect 2s. The most flexible and comfortable sole ever and, as you say, nice and wide, though I never get all the width I want. Sadly, they've stopped making that model. How would you say Freet compare to Splays for width, ground feel and flexibility?
@docksloan
@docksloan 2 года назад
Sounds like I need to get some Freet and Splays and do a comparison 😎
@mamabear9389
@mamabear9389 2 года назад
@@JohnMoseley The Freet and Splay shoes seem to be similar in toe box width. However, Splay is narrower in the arch and heel and also seems to have a little less depth in the toe box. Freet shoes come with a removable insole. This can give additional depth and ground feel. I have the Freet Pace and it is 4mm without the insole. It is very flexible, however the Pace insole is a bit thicker than the ones in their other shoes so removing it may make it have to much depth for those with low volume feet. I find them fine for me however without the insole. I am very happy with them. I just received the Freet Elgon for an autumn shoe with some water resistance. I like those too but they seem a bit wider in the heel although I plan to wear socks with those so I think they are ok. I am now looking at the Ibex for a bo9t.
@mamabear9389
@mamabear9389 2 года назад
@@docksloan That would be awesome. The Freet Pace is a great all round shoe and I know some people lift in them. Very breathable. I remove the insole though for a more barefoot feel. They are 4mm without it. With the insole they can be great for people transitioning to barefoot shoes.
