He sure was a beautiful man loved him as a cowboy coolest cowboy ever as Johnny Madrid lancer what can you say one of a kind loved this man since I was 12 sadly no longer with us our loss havens gain great actor
From all that I've read and seen recently he's living in California with his daughter and grandson and still does special appearances at Western conventions etc. There's a clip on here where he's telling a story about a film he was in with Racquel Welch (funny story) and he's there with Robert Fuller. He obviously looks a lot older but the cheeky smile is still there. He's given all of us such happiness, I hope he's happy at last too x
HI again. I will try to do it soon for ya, give me a few days and then I will. James was very good in this movie, and did recieved an Emmy Non, for his proformance. He sure did have the courage to go on, didn't he. Too bad Hollywood didn't give him more to work with. jswoman
Great James as usually, we have not the luck to see often films with him in France, regrettably, but it is not for it that we forget him Magnificent music also. Thank you for this excellent moment.
A rare diamond indeed Jeanne! I can only imagine the great things he would have gone on to had he not had that horrific accident. I just found out that he has passed & it makes me so sad. I hope he is at peace
Hi, thank you for this - it's another I never saw originally. Are you able to post the actual episode so I can watch it? I'm trying to see all of James' stuff but, here in the UK, it seems to be hard to find. Can't think why... he was a great actor, so natural. Michael Caine once said that it's all about the eyes... and James uses those baby blues to great effect! Gotta love him!
Hang on... I'm completely wrong - researched more and discovered he's engaged! Or at least there are pics out there of him with a lady referred to as his fiancee, so must be true. Glad he's got a special someone tho, of course, dead jealous, lol!
He did not live with her and refused to marry again and he stuck to that. They were close though and i believe in her own way she cared him, and he cared for her. He lived alone in a flat he rented in California, and she worked and lived in New York in Dentistry and visited with her when she had time off from work. When he was more able they travelled together in Europe. She was with him when he died. He died after an alergy to a treatment he received and went into shock that killed him, but he also had lung cancer. Wayne Maunder his brother in Lancer (Scott) died a few years later. Sadly all leading actors in Lancer have passed.
Thank you for these informations. I think, after prison until his death he had his girl-friend Antigoni. She brought back the charming smile to his face and the light in his eyes. James Stacy was a great actor, a gorgeous man. Saw him first in Lancer when I was 13. Love him since more than 50 years. Happy to see all the videos and clips and share all the memories of Johnny Lancer with all of his fans. Live in peace and happiness in heaven, James/Maurice! Miss you!
He died a few years ago...after a pretty awful life when one considers what he could have had but for his horrific accident with someone who decided it was ok to climb into a vehicle as drunk as a skunk. That someone took the life of his girlfriend and tore his left arm and leg from his body ending his acting career that had just begun to take off. He did some good work after that but was once heard saying there's only so many times one can act a veitnam victim. In short he got bored with the parts he was being offered. I hope he is at rest with those who had gone before him and those who left after.
@@gladysvelazquez2974 I have it on DVD and it is a good movie...although not very keen on Mickie Rooney and never have been. As his brother he was not very believable to be honest...but hey ho. James was very good in it.
