As a widow, widower or anyone for that matter that has experienced great loss, we sometimes say things that to those looking from the outside, looking in may appear to be insensitive. But in reality we are simply expressing our true feelings which for some can be difficult to accept. We often end up apologizing for things we said when in reality we meant what we said. When you get right down to it, we are living in fear of what others may think of us. And that's the topic of this video which is also available for download from your favorite podcast provider.

Hello Jack! Just stumbled upon your channel RU-vid of course and I lost my husband my soulmate my best friend a little over two years ago now. And you hit home with everything you just said in this video. I don’t know how your wife passed whether she was ill or it was a sudden thing, but my husband died suddenly of a brain bleed at the age of 57. He just had a headache one day. Totally healthy and every other way, not overweight exercise, ate well. The epitome of good health. In one afternoon, my life was shattered. My legs cut out from under me, and I instantly became a widow. You have a very soothing voice, and you almost sound like my pastor, which is so comforting to me. I look forward to you putting more RU-vid videos together. And i thank you Jack for all you do! May God bless you always. 🥰🙏❤️

Thank you Jack & Pam for sharing your story. I lost my husband Waleed Stewart and life is very different now. We were happily married for 15 years and I can't believe he's gone. But l like you remember to cherish the good times. Your channel is a great support to many! Prayers to you as we walk out this new life.

Thank you Jack. It's always interesting listening to you. Loosing my late husband is the hardest thing I have been through in my life. I know he is watching over me and is proud of me today. I find after coming home from work it's the quiet house and no one to talk to that makes it so difficult.

Corinne, so very sorry for your loss. Yes indeed, that coming home to an empty house is so very hard because we want to share our day with someone and that special someone is no longer there. I can say it slowly gets a little better but of course it will never be the same. I'm 2.5 years out now and still have a good cry every few days. But I do find those tears provide some healing. Not sure if you have had a chance to check out my podcast but I produce programs there on a much more regular basis than I do my videos. It's called "Love Letters to Pam" - The Jack Church Show and is available from all the major podcast providers like Spotify, Apple, iHeart etc. Or, you can go to this link and listen online. anchor.fm/jack-church

I always look at everything now from a heavenly perspective since Keith died and I've been widowed 4 1/2 years. I always think about my OWN LIFE REVIEW, and try to judge myself and not others. The flesh always wants to rule so I take up the cross of Jesus, humble myself even if I'm not in the wrong.

Keep sharing, you inspire us all. Not selfish. Just keep sharing, processing in your own way. Keep hiking and more. You don't owe anyone any apologies. God Bless.

Thank you for your kind words and support of our channel all the way from France! Pam and I planned to go there in 2021, but of course she was called to heaven before we could get there. Of course I'm betting heaven is amazing. I want to invite you to maybe check out my podcast where I do more regular messages on our grief journey. I don't do as much with grief videos on RU-vid as I prefer to put our lighter travel videos there these days. I also find podcast are easy for folks to check from practically anywhere. You can download from any of the major podcast providers (Love Letters to Pam)or listen on line at this link...anchor.fm/jack-church

Yes. We had it great and knew great. I know i had the gift, that not many could have, to have been present when she passed from this world holding her hand and stroking her hair. I'm going on two years this January. In a way you can say i still have it great. I've been able to hold onto the house she chose and fought to get. It is a place of life where the children and grandchildren arrive and even one lives here. There is life in me but I can't feel it. I'll never use the phrase, "I quit drinking", I'll just say I'm not currently drinking even if some time has passed (I started soon after, a topic not many talk about much with widowers as it seems people shush and accept with a spouse versus a common drunk). I still sit on my back porch. Regardless of the Arizona weather of blistering heat or freezing cold hoping she would come out and sit next to me (the back porch was where frequented, no devices, just talked and held each other). I'm still waiting to die. Thank you for your positive message sir. I swear I can feel her pushing me to do the same but haven't found out how. Your message is encouraging that I'll find it and that she will be tagging along with me as we continue our life together in whatever form that might be.

Hi Jon, thank you for your kind words. Needless to say I do understand your pain and am so very sorry you have lost your soul mate too. Not sure if you listen to podcast or not but I have a program where I produce much more grief related content than what you find on our RU-vid channel. It's called "Love Letters to Pam" - The Jack Church. Just maybe it can provide a little comfort from time to time. You can download from any of the major podcast providers or simply go online to this link and listen there. Thank you again for sharing. anchor.fm/jack-church

I just discovered your channel about a week ago. I lost my husband last November. We were both only 54 and married 34 years. I am so lost and heartbroken. He took care of me. I had always been a stay at home mother and a homemaker. Now I don't know what I will do. But your videos and stories of you and your lovely wife Pam have given me hope for my own future. I, too am still sharing my life with my heavenly husband. Thank you for making me feel normal.

Needless to say, I am so very sorry you are having to go thru this. It is truly the hardest thing you will ever do but in time it gets a little easier to move forward. I always stress, we don't move on but we learn to move forward. Be gentle on yourself and don't let anyone for any reason try and tell you how you should feel or act. I want to also let you know I have a podcast where I post on a more regular basis. In fact there are over 200 episodes on a wide range of topics. Here is a link where you can listen online or simply look for "Love Letters to Pam" - The Jack Church Show from any of the major podcast providers. anchor.fm/jack-church

@@lifewithjackandnicole Thank you so much! I will check all of that out. My husband I are born again Christians too and I know he is in heaven and one day we will be reunited. But we still have to figure out how to do this life while we are still here on this earth while we wait to go home to be with them again. You have shown me some things that just make me feel like I can still do some of the things my husband and I enjoyed together because whatever I do I will always be taking him on the journey as well. Thank you for the courage to talk about your loss and the life you enjoyed with your wife while she was here. I enjoy your stories! I have been binge watching your videos. LOL I am looking forward to your podcast! See you there!!
