I think it’s funny how their personalities and looks differ. Because Ila’s personality is SOO similar to Bert’s when you break down his stories he tells on stage but she has more physical attributes of Leanne. But then Georgia is very similar to her mom’s personality but she looks more like her dad 😆. Like that’s just pure comedy lol.

What I love about this is that they're more or less confirming all the crazy stories that Bert tells during his act. Sure, some details get embellished or are slightly changed to make more of an impact but its like 85% true stuff. I've read a lot of comments in other videos that talk about how much of a liar Bert because his stories seem so fantastical but this just goes to show you that even some of his craziest stories are probably pretty accurate.

The fact that Ila remembers the conqueror days is awesome but then again I think the drug a season out. I remember when the Bert the Conqueror premiere 13 years ago in 2010 because it came on after Man vs Food original run. Ila and Georgia was little kids during those days. I don't know why it took Bert so long the get The Machine special but that blew him up as a comedian, I get why the girls say 7 years because he grown success and popularity in the last 7 years

My younger sister and I are 15 months apart and the similarities between our dynamic and that of Ila and Georgia are so alike! I know exactly how Georgia feels in relation to her little sister, and see so much of my sister in Ila. We both grew up without a mother; I wish we would’ve had more of the motherly guidance and wisdom that I see here. It makes me a bit emotional to watch sometimes!

To find out that the outlandish stories he tells are mostly true is awesome. Enjoyed watching this...

Okay. THIS IS A NOVEL IM WRITING BUT I DONT KNOW HOW ELSE TO SEND IT TO YOU SO fuck it! I’ll post you a novel right here! Leeanne… LEEANNE! You are such an incredible mother and human, listening to you lately as I get into my 30s now and am in a whole new phase of addressing my own issues and life and family issues has brought me so much healing and fullness to my heart . I never comment on videos… ever… but something in this video made it click for me and why exactly it is that I think you’re such a fucking badass mom and why your insight on things gives me so much comfort and therapeutic benefit. The way you broke down the milkshake situation for your kids.. firstly, how clever you have to be to even make those connections, you’re so smart…but secondly, just how casually insightful you were allowed for them both to not just hear it now, but for it to really have a chance at becoming a part of their self-awareness... on their radar in the back of their minds. which I can just tell by how both of them reacted to it.. especially Georgia who is at a place where she can hear it with a more open mind and who will need insight like that as she navigates this first few years away from home and with new people from so many different places., no fucking wonder they are so confident and secure in themselves. And no wonder they have an ease with talking to you and being so unapologetically themselves.. it’s so clear how intently you listen to them and how interested you are to hear what they have to say. Also how frequently you tell them how you love getting to know them and love getting to talk with them… god, I could go on and on. The childhood situations and experiences you have overcome- in the sense that you have not let them shape how you interact with your own kids- blows my mind. Of course we may not want to re-create the detrimental environments/experiences we had for our own kids, but wanting to not do that and being so fucking good at succeeding in doing the opposite (which you really are) .. you’re a superstar. I’m especially observant of so many beautifully healthy and helpful things you do in your interaction with them not only because I was starved of that kind of parent child relationship but also because I am getting my masters in social work specifically to work with young adults to do exactly what you do with your kids. Listen, tell them they’re enough, offer and provide support they need and help reframe their criticisms of themselves or behavior resulting from emotions they have to create a healthier, more proactive way to understanding how ones mind works and what makes it special or what makes certain things challenging and how to more effectively articulate what you’re feeling… to talk about things and LISTEN to what hurts them or makes them happy or excites them or fulfills them… and give them support and make them fully aware they’re heard. You’re just… you give me faith in humanity and people and you have made me realize my version of family can be any way I chose it to be as long as love, reciprocity, thoughtfulness and FUCKING FUN are involved. There is no right or wrong way and my past has no say because I can choose it all. And I can change how it was moving forward with the relationships and family I create. I’m so glad you do this podcast. I know I don’t know you but I feel I understand you on such a deep level from listening to you and hearing my so many of my own thoughts and core tenants of how to go through this world articulated by you.. because of that I feel weirdly proud of you for pursuing something for YOU and creating a space that’s solely yours. Proud and geniuely so happy for you that you could overcome whatever you needed to within yourself to be able to do this podcast. I love Bert and starting listening to you because of how lovingly he speaks of you ~ I wanted to get to know you. And through this I’ve gotten a small piece of that but I’ve gained so much more. So thank you and keep it up and just know… someone who is a harsh critic and watches and listens to SO MUCH in the talk therapy realm and the talking with all walks of life to find connection and answers and insight realm is thoroughly impressed and in awe of you and how much your insight and effort has to offer. I live in San Diego but my goodness, if there was any way for me to work for you so I could be a part of this podcast in any way… I would move mountains trying to make it work. I’m sure you have a whole team but I would drop everything In my life to be a part of your team in any way I could. Everyone who gets to work with you and for you are so lucky. You’re a BADASS. Ha, I literally stopped ironing and doing laundry while I watched because I had an overwhelming need to just tell you all this. Hope this finds yours eyes!! all the love and support, Isabel Hales
