Wife's Audi S3 Gets Custom ESR Wheels and Michelin Tires

Time for an awesome wheel and tire upgrade for my wife's Audi S3! The factory Black Optics wheels are cool looking, but stick way too far inside the fenders. And the tires are getting close to the end of the road! So let's add a custom set of wheels to the Audi S3 and get that perfect fitment for a good flush fit! Todays I install ESR RF2 wheels on the Audi S3! Mounted on a set of Michelin Pilot Sport All Season performance tires!
Wheels are 19x8.5 +30 all the way around.
Tires are 235/35. Wheels are half inch wider then OEM and the stock wheels had a +39 offset! I went with stock size tires and the slightest bit of stretch gives the wider offset the ability to tuck just inside the wheel arch! Ordering the wheel and tire combination from Fitment Industries was a great experience! Everything got delivered to my house mounted and balanced! I was even able to have TPMS and new lug bolts added on to my order! Such a great way to order wheels and tires especially when you don't have the means to transport everything to a tires shop. Love the new ESR wheels on the S3, they match the blacked out theme so well!

@@BrosFOURRSpeedDamn bro, I have been following your channel and I’m a huge fan. I have an Audi A3 and have loved the mods you’ve done on your wife’s car. I saw how awesome and convenient it was for you to buy off fitment industries. Decided to buy the exact setup. Went with the ESR RF2’s black, 19x8.5 with 30mm offset. Unfortunately my experience has been nothing but painful with fitment industries. I ordered wheels and tires with ceramic coating. However, when processing my order the team missed it. So they had to refund me the ceramic coating. One of my wheels came with damaged. The lug nuts were also chipped. Admittedly, they shipped another set of lugs but only refunded me $100 for the damaged wheel. Next I got the hub rings that you recommended. 57.1 to 72.6mm. 72.6mm is the size they have on their website. So I thought, ok cool I’m all good. Went to the tire shop to get them installed and they don’t fit. The size wasn’t 72.6mm. Such a nightmare experience for a first time costumer. Went for the convenience but has been far from it. Hope everyone else has a better experience 😢

@@TheDemn oh dang sorry to hear that! Things can definitely get damaged in shipping but seems like Fitment got things squared away for you tho. Those are the ring sizes that fit my hub and these wheels. Not sure why a shop would say they don’t fit. Hopefully you got things squared away by now at least!

@@BrosFOURRSpeed just wanted to comeback and give an update. Turns out my wheel hub wasn’t 72.6 but instead 66.6mm. Anyways, installed the aluminum hub rings you suggested and the vibration is gone! Smooth as ever! Thanks again bro for all the great quality content. 🙏🏻

The oem Audi S3 wheels would look great on a Volkswagen Jetta of a similar year. They will sell pretty quick online. Always feels nice when a new mod goes on your personal car! 😊

Yeah they would! We’re keeping them tho. When we sell the S3 for the RS3 I’m sure we’ll be putting it back to stock. And the tires we took off still are in decent shape

The Pirellis u had b4 r fye because it has the curb guard but im a fan of Michelins plus better fit ur need but i like the way the pirellis hug ur rim

You have TPMS sensors in your wheels? I thought only RS3 (8V) got TPMS sensors?

I think every car has TPMS. Just depends if they are in the wheels physically. Stocks had them. And the new wheels register fine 😉

If you’re lowered, I won’t go under 35 for the offset, 8.5” for 235 or 245 and 9” for 255, preferably 18s, the 19s will look a bit better, but will sacrifice ride quality on a lowered car for sure.

Will this set up work for me? I have a 2023 S3 with the same H&R Sport lowering springs. I don't know what my wheel hub size is though and when I checked fitment they didn't mention anything about wheel hubs? Do they come with the rims or something I have to order separately?

I ordered the hub centric rings separately since I didn't like the plastic ones the ESR wheels came from. You can talk with Fitment Industries about hub centric rings, and they should be able to tell you the exact size needed. I want to put these rims on my 2018 S3, not interested in the upgraded springs, will be stock. Will they rub at all without upgraded springs?

dude, I just got some 5x114 19" wheels for my s3 along with a 5x112 ==> 5x114 stud conversion kit. the new wheels are a +35 offset, the stock s3 wheels are a 49. do you think my wheels will fit without spacers, or should i get spacers ?

I'm not too sure. I really only knew this setup for the car. Worst case see how they fit and determine if you need spacers for an ideal fit

You can contact Fitment Industries for a quote! I believe they would be close to $1k total. I think the whole setup was about $2,500 or so. Cant remember. But they can quote you for the specs you want and your shipping address

A TPMS sensor isn’t related to ABS, you can have a vehicle without ABS that has TMPS sensors, those are in the tire itself.

@@BrosFOURRSpeed right. I’m saying my S3 doesn’t have them in the tire it does the old school way of measuring the diameter and wheel speed. I figured it would’ve had them in the tire but when I got new wheels it didn’t have them at all
