Kami Tenchi what type of slavery are you talking about. There are mainly two types of slavery, chattel slavery and domestic slavery. God does not support harming each other which is chattel slavery. Domestic slavery is one which the person does not get hurt but has to do chores. And they treated well. They can also sometimes leave when they want/have paid back a debt. I'm christian, and I honestly don't believe God sees woman differently or that he created us to be inferior to our husbands. I believe that by nature, men and woman do tend to fall in specific roles, and that's ok. Also, there might be exceptions and that's ok. Woman are very important and from Genesis you can see that. Men can't do it without us. Adam without Eve was imcomplete, he was missing something, he needed her. Woman and men aren't supposed to be one controler of the other. Its about commitment and complementing each other to be 1 single flesh: to be stronger. I like this. I'm okay with not being a leader, because I know and have faith that roles He gives are just as important, and just being apart of that means a great deal. Very special to me. So why does it matter to me if Im not a leader? What would I get out of it? I can still be happy, I can still drive my car, eat what I want, go where I want.. No, the Bible doesn't state that. He's only listing a couple verses who seem to give the impression that the Bible is a misogynistic book, without helping people understand the context of the chapters in which those verses were taken and leaving out verses who speak in women's favour.
People seem to forget that the Bible is a collection of writings written by MEN over centuries. It is their interpretation of events and the word or God. God did not write the Bible. Also, Jesus was a champion of women, in a sense. He treated them with respect and included them in his ministry. And...what about those strong women in the Old Testament? The main point is that there are as many interpretations of the Bible as there are people. What you believe to be as absolute truth is not what I believe. I am thrilled that there are women leaders in society AND in the church! Where did you find the Scripture that said women are not to lead? I have never read that. I do believe man's position is to be head if his home as one who is following Christ, not his ego. Valid scripture references, but taken out of context. Man and Woman are completely equal before the fall of humankind. After the fall, women's subjugation was a punishment. Notice that the term "helper" is not a derogatory term. If woman doesn't help man, man can't function properly. Paul's words also contain a whole list of obligations for men to keep in terms of how to treat woman (as in, respectfully and with kindness). Therefore men are by no means allowed to trample on women, nor are women allowed to trample on men. The key is to treat each other equally, not for one to be better than the other. And even if women are never given direct leadership roles, men would be unable to lead without women there to keep them in check. I would like to look more in depth at the original Greek text on this discussion, as English often doesn't know how to capture the full meaning of the Greek, and every committee chooses its own way to translate. Oh the joys of being a woman theology major. It's rather enlightening, actually. So much that we miss from the original text.
Actually, I do believe that God exists, and I also happen to know and love Him. He's pretty amazing! Paul wrote his letters to individual churches, not Christians as a whole. For example, what he said in Timothy may have been referring to women in Corinth that were very new to Christianity. Paul's associates Priscilla and Aquila both has prominent leadership roles as a husband and wife team. . If you research the early church, women held leadership roles i the early days. Also, you cannot ignore Deborah or Esther. One was a judge ad the other a queen. You cannot ignore that Yahweh created both men and women in his own image and that they maybe, just maybe have more similarities in conjunction with some differences, and that maybe Yahweh does call both men and women into leadership roles.

In the Hebrew, Eve was described as an “ezer” to Adam. This is much more than a cute little apron that pops out kids and takes care of the house. It meant more a spiritual counterpart, someone completely Adams equal in every way. There is no male headship, as Adam and Eve were originally designed to be partners and co rule the earth.
You would have to do research on the original Hebrew to find the word "ezer", as the English translation does a poor job of describing it as "helper." Also, when it says man is the head of woman, in the Greek it meant "source" not authority or above someone else. Just simply The origin of something else. This has nothing to do with roles. Where in Genesis does it say Adam led Eve? God told him he would rule over Eve, but this was after the Fall, so we can clearly see it was not God's originally intended order. Also, where does hierarchy come in when we are told there is no longer Jew nor Greek, slave or master, male or female, etc. We are under the New Covenant not the Torah! Why did Christ die then?
Why would you live out the consequences of sin? God is prophesying not commanding or stating how He thinks it should be. Christ brought us back to that place of man and woman being equal. Why would God allow women to receive the Holy Spirit but not share the Gospel in the same manner?

Everything you say is scriptural truth and that is what matters. The issue I have is why do these teachings always come from the mouth of a man. Women are called to teach other women, and although there are a few that do teach these things there are just a few. What we need is for women to begin to proudly say what God called them to be and do. The Bible never says all men are to lead all women. Wives are told to submit to their own husbands and none else. Single women submit directly to Christ. Furthermore, Ephesians 5:21 tells us to submit one to another in reference to Christ. This means we are yielding our will and preference to all brothers and sisters in Christ for the sake of unity in the body. The only roles women are limited from as per scripture is that of head of the household, pastor, or deacon/elder. But many women served as deaconesses in the early church... leaders in ministry.

The Hebrew word ‘ezer, translated as “helper” has been used to describe God in many verses. Only Jesus is the our leader and the Holy Spirit our teacher. And if the man and the woman is a believer they are both part of the church and those rules apply. There is no place in the Bible were God says the man needs to be the leader. We only have assumptions and false conclusions.

I am not a big fan of Joyce Meyer (I have never been a follower of her teaching) but maybe God has given her a platform. I don't know, and won't pretend to know. I do believe that God is more than able to lift her or put her down if He so desires. You have to be above reproach to cast aspersions upon someone else. Very few fall into that category. I have a couple, a husband and wife, that visit me from time to time. I share with them from my own studies and show them things in the scriptures. They often tell me that I convey in a way that helps them to understand easier. It inspires them to "dig in deeper." I cringe everytime I hear that women are not allowed to teach men because it is usurping authority over the man. I can say with an honest heart that trying to dominate the man with my instruction in the word is absolutely false. Nothing could be further from the truth. My desire is to demonstrate that the scriptures can be understood and that it all links together in a beautiful masterpiece. That God has placed answers and help in His word for His children. People can read the scriptures but His children develop a knowledge and understanding of the scriptures. You and I can agree to disagree, that's fine, I am sorry if I offended you in any way, I know I am passionate about this subject because the male side of this story is usually very offensive (I heard one man even say "we have more female heros in movies than we ever had before," I guess he doesn't remember Ester, Ruth, or Jael) and it is so unreasonable. I have studied carefully and fully believe that God in no way is partial. He is no respecter of persons. He only wants a heart devoted to Him, the subject may have no other qualifications, He can still lead and guide a willing heart.

The concept "Holy Trinity" was created by the catholic church and originates from pagan beliefs. The 3 in 1 God concept by far predates Christianity by thousands of years and claimes that the Father, Son and the holy spirit are all equal and eternal. But in truth the Holy trinity is a hierarchy. The Father is the creator. The Son is the Messiah, Savior and King of Kings, Lord of Lords. The holy spirit is the gift given at pentacost to those that believe the Christ died and was raised from the dead to sit at the right hand of God as we speak. Church doctrine and the Bible rarely agree.

If you arent a selfish person and actually love the person you're with, you don't need to keep score or have specific roles. It's really not that hard to look after yourself and share that with someone you love.

Everything has an order and because we were disobedient we have to live this way. According to the Bible Adam and Eve were disobedient and were ordered to live a certain way after their disobedience. This is just explanation of their disobedience and now we still don't obey.
God’s not sexist but Satan is and I believe he has blinded man to the value of the woman. Satan hates Eve because he knew the Savior would come through her. You can go back to Genesis and see that pride grew in Adam and he didn’t seem the least bit appreciative of Eve. Men are ruling over women just as God said would happen, as a result of the Fall. We are not under the Torah, but the New Covenant, where there is neither male or female.
The Bible also groups sheep together with the value of women, forces women to marry their rapist and condones polygamy. Pfft women and men play vital role in life a society. They are both equally important. Why is this story so suppressive to women?
The blessedness of what is being said is that it is based on the Bible, the Old and New Testaments, the blessed Word of God. There is another role of women and that is to be a teacher of the younger women re their role as defined by God in His divine Word. Physical age is not what is important it is the spiritual age being determined from when the Holy Spirit comes upon one and remains as exampled by Jesus. "Ye must be born again." The Bible states that women will be saved by bearing children. which is obviously untrue in a earthly physical manner, rather it refers to older ( spiritual ) women identifying God's faith inspired women by their preaching of the Good News. There are other Godly definitions and one of them is for women to dress approriately , don't flaunt themselves, wear a hat in worship in private homes to signify they are subject to their true believing husbands but only spiritually and any questions re the good news to be done at home. It is certainly true that this divine instruction is hated in the world and as far as the body is concerned ( congregations worshipping in private homes) men must in the power of the Holy Spirit step up to the plate as the prophet explains. The earthbound thinking of the world is always 180 degrees from the Truth of the Bible.The prophet addressing us I believe is a blessed member of the Remnant, and worthy to be so as from the Holy Spirit. John Lawson, your channel is very good and you do do good videos but on this video you have to take the constructive criticism as you have simplified God's word and character and status as God and been untrue to all His Word since you did not take into an account Women leaders called by God , sorry, yes called by God despite your beliefs such as Judge and a prophet of Israel Deborah OT, so you have been cherry picking verses and teaching man made doctrine that women are not called by God.

Did you know that the original word for man is ha adam and is supposed to be translated human being not male being. God Created a human being not a man. God said it is not good that the human being is along I will make a helper for it. Also the word rib is a false translation. The original word is sela and it should have been translated with side. The woman was formed from the side. After the woman was taken from the original human being the man was left. After the split we read the first time about a man and a woman. Gen 2:23. The original word fro man is ish and woman ishah. Genesis 3:16 does not tell the man to lead, only that he will rule over the woman. Also note this was the result of sin not the intention of God. After the fall the man renames the woman and keeps the name God gave to both of them, Adam, for himself Gen, 5:2. Thus he stole humanity from her Adam means human being. Not quite. The original word is ezer. Sometimes God is called our ezer in the Old Testament. This word does not mean an assistant. Matter of fact God created a helper for the human being. in Gen 1 we read that God made the human being male and female. NIV says human kind. This same word was used in the second creation account in Gen,2 . Thus God made a helper for both of them the man and the woman.

Adam is a name of the first man, it also means "mankind". What that means is that man is mankind. God created man in his own image as a reflection of his own glory. Adam was created directly by God from the dust of the earth, and was given authority and dominion over all things because he was the express image of God. Mankind is called "mankind" because Adam mens MAN, and we are after his kind. We are Adamkind, Mankind. Woman was created later on to be his companion and helper because God saw mam was alone. Is she created in the image and glory of God? No she is not. Show me where it says she is. She is created from Adam, flesh of his flesh. Woman can not have any authority over a man for 3 reasons: 1) Man is the image and hlory of God. Woman is not. 2) Eve sinned first and then convinced Adam to sin as well and he listened to her. 3) She is the "weaker vesel".

In the day that God created man, in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and called their name Adam, in the day when they were created." Again the original word for man is ha adam meaning human being or humankind. Unfortunately, we are the weaker vessel and have been taken advantage of since the Fall.
