Everyone should watch this to see just how hard and deep you need to push for CPR. Its a lot more than people think. Don't worry about hurting someone, that doesnt matter. You are saving a life, who cares about bruises.

I am a First Aid Instructor. I tell my participants to not worry if they break a rib doing CPR. If the patient comes back to you later complains about you breaking their ribs, just tell them "You're Welcome".

My god yes. The old lady must have been so strong and determined!😮 They say if the patients ribs havent been broken ..then the cpr likely wasnt done right ... Thats how hard you press .. Put your whole upper body weight on the patients chest Take in turns with someone else as its hard work ..even if its a stranger ..get help ... My late father survived one heart attack He told me he felt like he had been run over by a bus !😮 He was in alot of chest pain after ... ..but at least paramedics saved his life .

@Morgan-yl3ou It's a load of rubbish when people say well if you have not broken a rib while doing CPR then you not doing it properly. You can do very good CPR without breaking a rib, and it all depends on the age of the patient if your doing CPR on someone over 70 and it's a woman your more than likely will break a rib. One because of her age and two because of her bones being a lot weaker than some fit 50-year-old men whose bones are a lot denser. So please stop spreading this crap I have done well over 30 Cardiac arrests and I can tell you just how many of them I felt the ribs go and it's not a nice feeling or sound it's horrible but your there to do a job at the end of the day. It's hard enough to get people to step up and do CPR in the 1st place without people putting them off even move with this rib crap. Am glad your late father survived a heart attack, just one thing a heart attack and a cardiac arrest are two very different things.

Probably shouldn’t have watched this. Mum only passed suddenly & unexpectedly 8 months ago, I had to listen to the wonderful paramedics do CPR on her for half an hour, I swear even to this day she held on until they arrived as she passed away 2 minutes after their arrival knowing I would struggle with CPR being disabled. I’m so glad this had a happy ending. Sending all my love & blessings to this family, & well done to his wife too, CPR isn’t easy when you don’t know someone, let alone when it’s a loved one. You did brilliant my lovely. Xx

God bless you, I can relate with being disabled. My sister is my caregiver and she was a rock when dad had his last heart attack. There was no way I could have gotten on the floor to help him. I dont like being alone for long periods of time with my mother. She's elderly and I'm afraid if something happened I would be totally helpless to do anything for her. She is a strong lady and still very active. She has been through so much the last few years. I love her so very much 💓

Fighting back the tears watching this. The same happened to me and was saved by my wife, and equally professional paramedics. True heroines and heroes!

😢 When she was on the phone trying to not cry. Ugh, I can’t imagine how hard that would be to watch… knowing that your whole life can change in a matter of minutes.

Absolutely remarkable in every way! Sweet lady helped save her beloved husband. And the paramedics were amazing as well. My father passed away less than 1 month ago from heart failure. He bravely fought heart disease for 30 years. He had quadruple bypass, 14 stents, and 8 heart attacks.. He suffered his last attack on my moms bday 7/11/22 the doctor sent him home on hospice on 7/15 and he passed away on 7/21. Which was his mother's bday. It was all kind of strange it began on mom's bday and ended on his mom's bday. My sister died in 2016 from a stroke at 50 years old my brother died from cancer in 2019 at 54 years old and my sisters daughter died in October 2021 in a car wreck. She was only 35. Then my dad dies on July 21st and then 3 days ago his sister dies as well. So much death...so much grief. Thankfully I have my faith. God has given me a peace that passes ALL understanding. 🙏

That was a bit graphic , but i guess we ned to learn. It was seeing the old mans eyes open that got to me. He looked alive but dead.... Glad he survived , hope hes still well today . What a wonderful wife with so much strength and love. Sadly i have congested heart failure and its no joke... Means i cant do much at all, wish feeling like im suffocating. Ive told my partner not to revive me as im already bedridden and chronically ill. I think everyone who is chronically ill, should have this talk ..with their loved ones to decude what their wishes are . Even perhaps get a DNR in place if they wish . But those that want to live and have a lot to live for ..desreve so much help. Theres so many things we can do now for heart patients ...to improve their quality of life . Wishing them all the best 💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚💚

A lot of people, including in healthcare don't recognize that women also have heart attacks. When I was in college we read a lot about this. Also, heart disease is the number one killer in every country.

Why they are slow and acting like someone is not dying under there hands
@JAB2010

They’re not slow; you just can’t panic in a situation like that. Panicking is worse
@LKESBO

@@JAB2010 i know what do u mean, but just check the drivers of the ambulance
@rowanwilson8896
@rowanwilson8896 Месяц назад
@@LKESBOtwo things here. The ambulance is a 5 ton van and despite what you may think they don't actually go very fast (and don't handle well enough to be driven fast even if they did). Also, good emergency driving seldom looks truly fast - they get there faster because they are good at planning ahead and reading the road meaning they can keep a constant, but still safe, speed through traffic, instead of hooning about everywhere. Lastly, the response cars are the quick ones, and often arrive a good few minutes before the ambulance does. Don't be fooled by it looking slow, they are exceptional drivers. Just very calm and smooth even under pressure.

Moron of the first responder. Just casually and slowly walks into the house. Not saying you should run but perhaps with a little bit of urgency
