At.least he knew he was a wimp. I don't like booze and I never enjoyed being around people who are drinking. I have no patience with them. Personally, I think this story on a whimper. The OP could have used that moment to talk to his wife & let her know that what she felt when the literal "Karen" asked to sleep with him was the exact way he felt when she even TRIED to suggest an "open marriage." There also wasn't any real reveal about what the wife ended up doing. Granted, she didn't seem to go the path so many others did & insist on going through with it, but she also never seemed to apologize or even come to realize why what she proposed was so wrong. I think, honestly, if Karen hadn't gotten served the same day the OP's wife first brought it up, the idea might have rooted itself into the wife too far for her to be able to pull back out of it before she wrecked her own marriage. Trust me, people: Cuckolding & open marriages are only fine if it's agreed upon by both parties at the START of the relationship, BEFORE any vows are made. And, pulling the Reverse Uno card of the husband inviting going out to see other women as well works in many cases, but even better would be suggesting that the husband gets HIS side of the deal FIRST, or that he'll only agree if she is willing to have 3-ways with him & other women FIRST, for at least the length of time she wants to see other guys. If the wife isn't down with that, then the whole idea gets scrap & is not to be brought up again UNLESS she comes back willing to fulfill the other side of things. And, just for good measure, tell her that any time she goes out on her "date" the husband gets a Hall Pass to do the same before starting the divorce proceedings, even if she tried to hide it from him. While not perfect, that kind of thing is bound to keep the wife in line. And who knows? If the wife DOES try to grit her teeth through the husband's part, she may either fully come to understand the husband's perspective OR find out she's actually BI & is open to "opening" the marriage into an MFF triad/thruple, which could then eliminate her desire for another GUY all together. True, the likelihood of that isn't great, but these are AI-generated stories. A certain bit of creative license is allowed, isn't it?
