In the meanwhile I learned a bit more about the Zigbee protocol. It is even better if the switches can be coupled by zigbee binding or grouping. This way the switches can turn on/off each other even when the Smarthome system is offline (especially handy when used with self hosted smart home systems such as Home Assistant etc.)

It simply means that the light bulb connected to switch 1 is powered by a primary live supply. While switch 2 is not physically connected to the light bulb, it requires power to act as a soft switch. Through the app, switch 2 can copy its on/off control to switch 1. So, switch 1 can perform on off function even without internet access, but switch 2 requires internet connectivity to operate. Both switches must be smart switches and it's not necessary for them to be two-way switches. Two one-way smart switches can do the job.

The video above shows the scenario with Neutral. Can we achieve two way if no Neutral wire at the switches (of course still use the capacitor)?

dear, for dimmer switch,you need neuutral line, you can choose wifi light switch without neutral line without dimmer

In a traditional non smart switch there is a L1 & L2. 4 wires in each switch L L1 L2 N Does any1 know what I do with e xtra wires for L1 & L2 ? Do I Dead end them. ? If so does it mater which 1s ? Thanks.

hi dear, the wifi switch has L，L1,L2,N ,4 line. the switch in the video is 1gang switch, so it not inclould L2, if you order 2gang switch, it will incloud L2
