How to setup any HP #printer and #MFP to wifi router.
Uses the Wi-Fi Direct feature, which is always on by default.
It is very simple. And without usb cable, disks and the Internet.
1. Look on the smartphone if there is a WIFI network ....Direct-xx-HP xxxxxx
2. Setup from market
play.google.com/store/apps/de...
and
play.google.com/store/apps/de...
3. Сonnect to this network using a default printer WIFI direct password 12345678
Using HP Smart to find your printer. You can print NOW!
4. If you want to connect a printer to your router using printer interface just type in the address bar of your browser 192.168.223.1
Then go Networking, Wireless Configuration for connect printer to router
Go back to the wifi network of the your router. You can print NOW!

this was way easier than using any of the "Easy Setup" apps that HP forces you to use to install. this method in fact works while the others didn't. thank you!

Thank you so much. HP doesn't provide clear instruction. I spent a lot of time in their website with no luck. HP should post your video in their support page.

Awesome video I was able to connect my printer to my wifi. Now I have a different issue, my computer either will connect to my printer or to wifi but not both. If anyone has any suggestions I would really appreciate it. Oh and when I check hp smart it does the same thing

Sounds like a case "direct wifi". You need to use "direct wifi" to connect the printer to the router and leave it that way. After that, you can even turn off "direct wifi" on the printer. Should work if no one has turned off wifi direct. Internet will not work when phone connected to a printer

THANK YOU!!! I spent hours and hours trying to figure this out and this just popped up. I thought it was a problem with spectrum. How do you know what the password is for the printer and how do you figure out the IP address for the printer? The instructions tell you nothing like this.

this works if direct WIFI is enabled on the printer. Look on the smartphone if there is a network ....Direct-xx-HP M102
