I’m convinced! Going to get this wig - because I’m blonde skinned thinking crème brûlée. Fingers crossed! Good tips on the products. I’ve never had a wig before and all these products are new to me. 👍
I just bought this wig in Marble Brown and Shaded Praline. I hope that I can get Mena to look as nice on me as it does on you. You have helped me so much, Jill. Thank you. You look just beautiful in any style.
I am so excited. This hair style is how I used to wear my hair before it lost all its volume and I took the plunge for the Mena in 6F27 tonight. My first Jon Renau try and first over $100 unit. I am nervous and excited all at once. I want/need this to work for me. I've been following along with you for about 8 months now and by golly you gave me the confidence to give JR a try.
Hi Jamie! SO exciting! Please let me know what you think about Mena! Jon Renau is my favorite designer, and I really don't think you will be sorry. Thank you for watching, and supporting my channel! Hugs!
Another pretty wig on you, Jill. 12FS8 is YOUR color, although I also liked the color of the Gabor wig on you too. I can't remember the name of the wig but I think it was the sandy blonde color. Thanks for the tip on parting the hair in more of a diagonal...I'm excited to try that on my wigs! Thanks for the styling tips too with getting the spray gel at the roots by lifting. One of friends is going to help me with styling and I'm going to show her your videos so she/we can try to duplicate it. You're so good at styling. I really appreciate your showing the styling details...it really helps! I'm wearing the Sqairbands too and they really add a lot to the different styles. 😊💖
Hi Liz! First off, I can't tell you how much I appreciate this comment. It is wonderful to know! Thank you for your nice compliment. This wig is so pretty, and I couldn't wait to get in there and style her a bit. Also, that is so fun that your friend is going to help you! Definitely make sure you are wearing them when she does. It makes it easier to 'envision' where things will look best. Don't get too hung up on replicating styles exactly..because, your wig may want to do something else, and or your features may look amazing doing a little something different! Also, the shorter styles will style up better with dry shampoo in there. ;) I hope you have fun, and let me know how it goes! I wore a SqHairBand today in my wig to work! I love them. Have a great weekend, and thanks for watching! Hugs~
I Agree! Jon Renau should send you wigs to review, Raquel Welch too! I just love you💗so helpful! I also was thinking of a darker color towards fall. Maybe shaded cappuccino, I love the light brown with Highlites, and Lowlights🥰, right now my favorite colors are Shaded Bisque, and Palm Springs Blonde.
Aww...you are very sweet! OH IF ONLY...that would be amazing if they did. ;) I too love those colors....they are SO GREAT for Summer!! I think I prefer Palm Springs Blonde over Shaded Biscuit believe it or not! ;) Thanks for watching!
Thanks for the tip on leaving the fabric softener in instead of rinsing it out like I was doing. You just saved my Belle Tress "Woolala" .. it was my first heat defiant. After 3-4 months she was rough to the touch. Now, she is soft and full volume again. Thanks!!!!!!
yes she is a keeper!!!you look great in that cut.. those lace fronts are always awesome...i have never have used all the products...i forget that they arent touching ny head and wouldnt make me break out!...that Mesha..she is trouble😂😂i love her too...can't wait for you to get "Victoria "by JR..hand-tied and mine is going on a year old and looks great.. I did have her trimmed up this month for summer...listen this is a great look ,one of your best . thanks again for inspiration
Hi Terri! Thank you! I do love this one. I have 'liked' all of the ones I have chatted about, but I really LOVE Mena! I have yet to try Victoria, and will have to revisit her. ;) Have a wonderful weekend ahead! Hugs~
Per usual....love how you personalized it! I prefer the more tousled look cuz my bio hair is baby fine, thin and stick straight, lol. You showed the versatility of the style beautifully. And love how you're able to poof the crown area, where me too, I need the poof!
Hi Julie! I do love the crown poof! Gotta do it. Haha! Thank you for your kind compliment. I just love this wig, and think she is an amazing Summer choice! Thanks for watching!
Wow. Great informative video. Ill be using your styling tips. I love your fearlessness with styling and using products. I've been wearing a topper for months now and just wore my first wig and wore it to work!! Ha. Got so many compliments! The ladies wished they had hair like my wig! Lol. You give me the confidence and knowledge to actually play around with it and style it..make it my own.. thanks :)
You look great in all of them. I would never consider this one from looking at the manf photos, but you make it come alive. Thanks so much for doing these reviews.
Hello there, Karen! Aww...thank you so much. I really love Mena! She is quite pretty out of the box, but I couldn't wait to style this one, so had to do the wig chat a little earlier than I planned! Haha! Thank you for your very kind words, and thank you for watching! Hugs~
You knocked it out of the ballpark, my goodness your good....I watch as you put product in and think no it's too much, (cuz, see I'm too nervous to put any in it) I know I have to get over that....you make them look so realistic! I purchased the RW - Straight Up With A Twist & absolutely love it...in the color shaded biscuit....again love it...it's just I'm afraid to play with it...I put it on and don't do much with it...So..what I'm saying here is that I love watching you manipulate the wig because it looks so much prettier each time you touch it...Thanks again for the pleasant surprise of another video.....
Hey Ruth! Aww...well, thank you so very much! I know many styles do look great without doing much to them, but I just get so excited to see what I can do with each one! I love sharing that process with you guys. ;) Straight Up w/ A Twist is one that looks great, and doesn't need much to look super cute, but definitely don't be afraid to play with it a bit. Even a little holding spray at the root area, and lifting it here and there...you'd be surprised! I do appreciate your support, and thank you always, for watching! Hugs~
Jill HELP! I think I’m going to get “MENA”. I have the same head size,Fair Fair skin,& neck. We could be related 🤪. I love to watch you FOOF . I have to get my hands in my hair too ‼️Did the WONKY side ever cooperate? When I first got fibromyalgia I got short Noriko wigs but now I’m watching u & trying to do my makeup & new wigs . Would u buy another Mena ? Just picking your brain.Thank You for everything 😍
Hi Patti! Thank you very much! Mena is so pretty...I just love her! I do think Jon Renau makes beautiful wigs, and you WILL get yours in no time I am sure! Thanks so much for watching, and hope you are enjoying your weekend! Hugs~
Thank you Cindy! I watched your review...I loved it! Loved how you made Carrie work for you, and she looked incredibly natural! SO pretty on you, Cindy. You are a gorgeous lady. Hugs!!
Thanks, Heather! I do love this one a lot. I was surprised, really that I did! I like the short back for Summer....and that it won't get on my shirt collars etc.. Have a good weekend!
Hi Linda! That Nisha...she gets me into trouble! LOL Thanks so much for watching! I love this one...LOVE love!! ;) Have a great rest of your weekend! Hugs~
That is VERY nice! I have sent several back that looked awful! LOL You guys just don't see those. ;) Thanks for the very sweet compliment! I do love this one. I have 'like' them all...but, this one I really LOVE. Thanks for watching! Hugs~
Hey there, Mountain Momma! Thank you!....she is so pretty! Not much really needs to be done with her...I think she's perfect for Summer. ;) Thanks for watching! Hugs~
Love it... you did it again! I've seen Mena reviews and had pretty much ruled it out...I thought that the front to back gradient was just too severe!! ... after this, I'm gonna request this one to try when I go to wig shop next month... thanks again! your creativity with these wig is just fantastic!! 😘
Hi Carol! Aww...thank you! Definitely try her on! She is so pretty...it took me a second 'try on' though, before I could see the vision. Haha! Play with the hair, and lift it up off the crown, and separate the layers...then the style really comes alive! I think it's beautifully done. Let me know what you thing! Thanks for watching, and have a great weekend! Hugs~
Hello there, Taz! Thank you so much. OH MY...I 'like' the wigs I keep and 'chat' about here....but, this one...this one I LOVE so much. REALLY beautiful one, Taz! YOU would rock this.. it would be stunning on you, .and hope you do purchase so I can see your review! ;) I have been watching several of your videos this afternoon...thinking about Phoenix, but not sure color wise which I would prefer. I love that Creamy Blonde...but, worried about the absence of rooting, so flip flopping to the Spring Honey R (But, like you...prefer ashy 'er' blondes). AHH!! Any advice would be appreciated! HAHA! Sending 'virtual' hugs your way....and have a great week!
You're the best Jill.. love your spirit and approach to all this.💕💕💕. I'm actually selling a Phoenix in Creamy Toffee R, new with tags never worn for $129.. listed on my EBay site. It's so pretty but not as light as I prefer.. you know me and my light light blondes!..lol. I like CTR better than SHR.. it's very short Jill..short term than I've ever seen on you.. but it has those textured layers that you love. Much love your way! 😘😘😘🤗🤗🤗
Aww...thank you, Taz. Yes, I am 'up' for the shorter doo. ;) I am drawn to the texture..(you have me pegged) Haha! Does the CTR have the dark contrasted back like Ivy? I am still not sure I like that. OH...have been trying to find you on ebay. What is your ebay 'handle' ??
This is a lovely wig,the parting looks so real, the only thing for me is I have a fringe I would love not to have but no matter how I try I end up cutting one in. How many do you have now Jill ? I'm on the verge on on ordering date by Ellen wille. After promising no more until after my holiday I'm trying to talk myself out of it lol . Love this review , I get so excited knowing you have another wig . Xxx
Hi Ann! I am not sure this one would look good with a fringe. I think it may ruin the 'angle' / style of it? I am probably wrong! LOL I feel you on the -must stop ordering these darn things! I told myself I wasn't going to either....and, then darn Nisha did her review! Ha! She gets me into trouble! Hee hee! I need to S L O W it down. ;) Thanks for watching!
Hi Karrie! Thank you! This one is so gorgeous, I just love it. It's been awhile since I have REALLY loved ( I have liked) a wig. I didn't mind it down the middle! Usually, I hate that. Haha! Thanks for watching today, and have a great weekend! Hugs~
Gosh you are a beautiful woman Jill..love this on you..ok I am going to try the dry shampoo again like you showed...thanks for the demo..and the part too..I like that...great review great demo...thank you!
Hi Kathleen! Gosh, thank you so much for that sweet compliment! Right back at you, lady! ;) I am so glad you enjoyed the review, and I always appreciate you watching! Hugs, and have a great rest of your weekend!
This wig looks adorable on you, but what else is new, lol! The issue I am having with so many wigs is that they show so much forehead when they don’t have some kind of fringe. I have very pronounced deep forehead lines. So that’s just not a lovely look…I just ordered the silicone forehead pads that you wear 2- 12 hours to soften the lines. They look pretty promising. I will share the results😉👍🏼
You are my very favorite wig reviewer!!!!! These are so helpful!!! I cut Jackson by Noriko almost just like the Mena bu t I want a momo part. Everytime I have ordered one they are flat and wiggy...guess I never tried Jon Renau. Doesn't all of the dry shampoo make it feel dry and tough? And how do I find your response????? Going to give this one a try!!! THANK YOU!!!
This looks great on you, the way you style it makes it look so sexy! The scrunching gives it that little bit of the " wild-chick" look! I never never once before even dared to consider this style for myself, even though I really like it very much...but...maybe!!????? Thanks for showing us! Watching from Wisconsin!
Hi Christine! ME TOO! I didn't even consider it....then Nisha did her review! DANG HER!! Haha! You may have to give Mena a go. I think she's perfect for Summer.. A nice alternative to a short pixie to keep cool. I think she is sexy, and a great one for date nights, summer nights with friends etc... ! I just love her! Thanks for watching, and have a great rest of your weekend! Hugs~
This hair looks great. The only problem I have with all wigs, including lace front, is the too perfect hairline on the forehead. That's the first thing I look at, most people don't have such a perfect hairline. Not much can be done about that.
Hi Marla! Thank you! I do love this one to death! LOL Oh yes, I do agree with you regarding hairlines. Many wig wearers will tweeze in (or out) ha! the hairline they like, and really get them looking amazing doing that. Tweezing the part as well is something many do on certain wigs! I like the more dense hairlines like this one on Mena, vs. the sparse ones like on Elizabeth because to me...those ones (which many prefer) kind of focus in on the little hand-tied hairs, and that can look even more fake than the more dense hairlines. I have to say, that people who do have a full head of hair do have hairlines like many wigs you see. Being a hairdresser I have seen that more often than not. There may be a widows peak etc... but, full head of hair does tend to have nice, even hairlines.(forehead). Thanks for watching!
So you do like the Mena or the Noriko Sugar Cane wig better? They both look beautiful on you, but which one is better? Also, have you ever tried a topper?
Hi Vicki! Hands down, Mena! You just can't compare a Jon Renau wig to a Noriko. The cap construction with Mena has the full mono top, lace front, moleskin on extended nape and temple tabs. ;) I don't have anything against Noriko, I love my Noriko wigs! But, they are definitely in two different categories and price points. (because of the added features). I do love Noriko fibers though...I do think they compare to Jon Renau's synthetic fibers. No, I have never tried a topper. I just don't have any desire to mess with my bio hair any longer. I don't feel like dealing with color matching, cutting etc... The draw to wigs for me was about not dealing with my own hair, and just put a wig on and have a great hair day! I also love switching up styles per my mood. ;) Thanks for watching!
Hi there! The fibers feel nice. Soft...yet, not as realistic of course as an HD fiber. Definitely more realistic than the Gabor Soft & Subtle synthetic fibers. I don't like my wigs to be that soft...I think it's unrealistic which is why I put the dry shampoo in them, and use product to style. ;) .Thanks for watching!
Hi Nisha! Umm...you are stunning in Mena! Dang you! I had to have her after your review. ;) Thank you for your sweet comment. ;) Thanks for watching! Hugs~
