Yes! Woolite and Downy are my go-to as well and work perfectly. I use the advanced Downy with fabric protect, etc. and I think it maximizes fiber colors and protects ends. I recommend the Woolite/Downy duo to any wig wearer. My wigs last and last - well beyond anecdotal wig life. Instead of 3-4 months with regular wear, I enjoy 6-8 months.
I just purchased IGNITE. Got it in the mail, shook it out, put it on and absolutely fell in love. It's my very first wig and I thank you for all the care tips!!!
Got my first Ignite and your tips were extremely helpful and after a few hours I began to make her my own. I am looking forward to wearing her to work. Your advice gave me confidence to play around with her and use products. Thank you.
Hi Jill, After reading the other comments I noticed you said you bought a hot air brush. I was going to suggest that. After watching a video from Godivas Secret Wigs I went to Sallys and bought a Helen Of Troy Hot Air Brush. Because the teeth are plastic it doesn't get too hot and can be used on regular synthetic fibers. I had a shorter wig that I was getting ready to replace because of a frizzed neckline. It took the frizz right out and also softened the fibers. It doesn't make the fibers go stick straight and you can also add curl to the ends. You can also use it to add direction to the bangs. It certainly added more life to my wig. Good luck!
Jill, thank you very much for your kind, insightful, honest, and informative reviews for wigs, face care and cosmetic products. Have learned so much from you. Your reviews appeal to all ages and you have a soothing voice. I am in my early 70s! Young at heart. Never to old to learn. Your complexion is gorgeous and I do believe you could wear any style of wigs as you are a natural beauty! Watch all your reviews on RU-vid. Happy you are reviewing for Patti's Pearls. I have found them to be wonderful to deal with and have great sales. It's the only way I can afford my favorite brand Jon Renau. Their caps are comfortable and not itchy on my scalp. I watched you open the box for Upstage wig by Raquel Welch. I was very excited for you and looked gorgeous on you. It would never look that beautiful on me but wanted to order one immediately. Wondering if you would purchase the Upstage wig again? I am a petite size and noticed they are now offering Upstage in a Petite size. I love the JR wigs. I have permanent hair loss from Alopecia caused by Lupus (SLE). After seeing you with the Upstage wig, I am wondering if you would purchase it again? I value your opinion. Don't feel like spending a lot of time styling wigs. Deeply appreciate all the tips and tricks for wearing wigs and other products. You have made me feel much more comfortable and confident in wearing wigs. At first, I felt as though I was trying to be someone other than myself and had not seen that much hair on my head in a long time. I could see myself at a doctor's office and laying back on the exam bed and then I would get up and the wig would still be laying on the exam bed, Lol! No joke, I was nervous as a tick! Thank goodness so far this has never happened. Fears have subsided. The next thought I had was that I am no longer the only balding lightbulb in the room, lol. I am now a wig lover. Ordered the Ignite wig after watching your reviews. I did tell PPs that your reviews for this wig was the convincing motivation to buy it. They know I am watching you on RU-vid. Hopefully, you will have a few minutes to kindly answer my question re Upstage wig. Heartfelt thanks.
Thank you for your incredibly kind comment. It means the world to me knowing I may have helped you if even a little. I definitely would purchase Upstage again, and indeed hope to soon!
I don't even use the JR wig conditioner anymore. I put some fabric spray in a spray bottle of water and spritz them at night. Works great! I'm still #teameve😀😃 good update!
Hey there! Haha! I love your #teameve !! I am thinking about also doing the same with the fabric softener spray. I have not seen much help re: the JR conditioning spray over these last several months. :( Thanks for watching! Hugs to you!
Thanks so much for the tip of washing the wigs in fabric softener and not rinsing them. It worked so great on my wigs, they are like brand new. And love ignite on you
I'm so glad it worked nicely for you too! Thank you for your very kind compliment ....I love Ignite, and wear it almost every single day! Can't seem to find a another wig in my collection that I feel equally comfortable, and confident in. Thanks for watching!
Panteen provi conditioner (I chose anything that smells good to me) for 1-2 hours after each washing keeps wig smooth and silky, keeps wig looking good longer time. 🌸
Oh how I love watching your videos!! They are great and you are so beautiful and cute as a button! I have Upstage, Ignite and Straight up with a twist on my wig list. I am brand new to this journey.... I’m probably gonna give my husband a heart attack buying all these wigs. Lol!!
I Based on this review I'm going to buy "Straight up with a Twist." It meets ALL my requirements. Thx for the excellent reviews on this video. The Downy tip is a winner!
I love how you are saying if you'd repurchase - it says a lot about how you REALLY feel about a wig over time. Based on your comments, I am ready to spring for a Straight Up with a Twist and probably and Ignite, too! Thank you for the effort you put into these reviews! They help a lot! :-)
I just follow manufacturer's directions for cleaning, conditioning, detangling and heat protection. Seems to work well. I wash about every 15-20 wears of about 6hrs each. A quick inside cap wipe with baby wipes keeps it fresh.
Have you tried using a steamer on your frazzled ends? I don't have any HD wigs yet, but I just ordered one! With my regular synthetic Jon Renau wigs, when they start getting tangly and frizzy on the ends I wash them with laundry soap, soak in fabric softener, let them dry and then steam them straight and style them with a round brush and steam. It takes some practice, but extends the life of your wigs indefinitely. Eventually they lose enough hair from detangling (many, many restyling sessions) that they get thin looking, but still good enough to wear working out or doing outdoorsy activities that you don't want to wear your 'good' wigs doing.
Thank you for the follow up reviews. I love watching you , your very entertaining and provide great information. You look great in all of your wigs. I am new to this whole wig wearing thing and my hair has become thinner with age. I just bought the Ignite wig but am having trouble styling the bangs. Will have to watch your first videos on it . Keep up the great work!
Thanks Sandy! This is a very sweet post to read. ;) Yes, watch that one...I was really struggling with her in it, and it's quite entertaining especially toward the end! LOL BUT, she ended up being a favorite. Also check this video out when I talk about how I use the styling products: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xuFOPujA1QY.html I hope it's helpful! Mainly...don't be afraid to 'play' with your wigs. Especially Ignite...I have worked her over like none other, and she is still holding up. LOL !! I recommend doing the fabric softener soak instead of shampoo too! Hugs!
I'm so glad the fabric softener worked...You use the same stuff as me!..;-) .if I could get away with it I'd never wash them..lol Ignite is one I've never purchased..crazy huh? So great to get your long term opinion on these..I look forward to hearing about how your other wigs held up....thanks
HI Kathleen! I just wished I would have used the fabric softener from the very beginning! Just glad it worked better than what I was doing! I can't believe you don't have Ignite! It would look amazing on you. Thanks for watching! Hugs~
Hi Kathleen, just wondering if you are wearing a wig in your photo, and if you are, which one? I love the look of it, and since my hair is naturally wavy/curly, I would love to look at wigs that look like the one you are wearing...if you are wearing one! thanks!
Hi Kari...yes I am! This is by Tony of Beverly called Haily and this color is Sunset Red..I loveee this wig. You can buy from TOB online or I buy my wigs fron www.CysterWigs.com ...Hope thats ok Jill...you know I love my CysterWigs..;-)
Jill I love this video! I’ve been watching your more recent ones and this one just popped up. Very helpful, especially the tip about the fabric softener. Do you still do that or are there better products now? I use a leave-in conditioner.
Love the follow ups! I have been thinking about your well water issues. Maybe try one of those "on the faucet" water purifiers. I would be curious to see if that helped. I am only about 10 months ahead of you on my wig journey. But I am leaning toward the reds and suburbs. Lol. Thank you again.
Hi Charlotte! That's a great idea (purifier). I use to have one of those years ago! I don't think one will fit on our faucet we have now. :( I have been tempted to try a 'red'... I have seen Kathleen Ryan (on Instagram) and she wears the reds so beautifully, and it's very inspiring! Check her out! @kathleenryanart ! Thanks so much for watching, and for posting!
But, one nice thing about well water is that is doesn't have chlorine or chemicals in it. Its way better for wigs if your well water is of good drinking quality.
Hi Jill, you said you have hard water. Have you also tried water softener. I don't wear wigs yet I'M still researching them. I use water softener in the water when I do laundry. Thank you for all your feedback. Love listening to you and all the tips.
When I look at Elizabeth online now she is layered and curled slightly. Try on point by Raquel Welsh. By trimming her a little bit because she was a little too angled for me. I get tons of compliments on that wig.
Great review! Have worn wigs quite a while but always new things to learn. I was just about to buy Elizabeth, but not sure I will now. She is so pretty out of the box and I love the style but ....expensive and if she doesn't last long...that's not good. I have a few videos up on some of my wigs. I'm not the best! I was wondering if you use an external light? I can't seem to get the right lighting on my videos. Thanks so much! xo
Thank you! I have to say...now that I know a fabric softener soak helps to revive these, and will not ever use shampoo again of any sort, I may one day purchase Elizabeth again. I loved that wig! Disgusted in how long she lasted though. A lot of that was due to my inexperience. :( I do use a ring light, and two box lights on each side of the ring light. I have a cruddy HD cam corder for my 'camera'...so I still have to adjust my lighting in my editing software. I use Filmora Wondershare for my editing software. ;)
Have you ever use a Revlon wig?, I am new with wigs, have not received my first one yet, but order a JR because of watching you, thanks for your videos, learning a lot from them!!
Hi Jill hope I've caught you before you cut your hair? Ive been using a hand held steamer on mine and they are like new. Thanks for the tip I shall use the fabric conditioner on my ignite. I bought another because I loved it so much just in case the discontinue it lol xx
Hello Juals55! I have heard about this! Hmm...I may have to look into that. OH that would be terrible if Ignite was ever discontinued! Makes me want to stock up! Thanks for watching today! Hugs~
I just washed my wigs in unscented fabric softener..no rinsing...and just hung it up...but also in regards to your damaged ends...***i found a wet/dry curling iron...put it to the proper heat...WET the ends that i would be going over...and gently use the iron to snooth them out...i guess it was a Patti's Pearl's kind of steaming effect.WONDERFUL response from fibres...mine were uniwig-Bambi.
I've never been one to use products on my wigs. I wonder if you would take the time to tell me the products that you use in your wigs. I love the picture that shows you in your ignite. You are sitting with that wonderful posture with ignite looking as though it were made especially for Jill. When I'm flipping through the videos, I always stop to look at that picture. Thanks for the great videos.
Aww...you are very sweet! Thank you for the nice compliment! I use Jon Renau styling products. Here is a chat where I talk about how I use them! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-xuFOPujA1QY.html
so glad I watched this when I did... I was just about to go and buy more shampoo and conditioner... gonna try the fabric softener instead. Don't have 'Downy' here but I use gentle softener for sensitive skin too...will let you know how I get on xx
YAAAY! I'm so glad you love her now! The Ignite i was one to tell you in the beginning when you first had her on that I loved her n that you would love her too if you give her a chance
Hi Patti! I do remember! Thank you! Yes, you were spot on. I do love her, and am so glad that I got a lot of encouragement, because I need that push! LOL Thanks for watching!
When people talk about “wearings,” do they mean hours for each wearing? Should I count a 15 minute run to the grocery as a “wearing?” I’m retired and don’t wear a wig at home, so a wearing is almost always two hours or less.
Why don’t you try soaking it one more time and let it dry upside down, just to see. Just with fabric softener. Basically fabric softener is a conditioner for clothing so I think it conditions the fibers and also from Taz she says to use that silicone spray every time you take it off. Just a thought
...also, since watching what you do with the sides, pulling out your hair.. I'm trying to grow out what little hair I have at sides too... will let you know how I get on with that too ...thanks for all your tips and tricks 😘
Hi Carol, I pull out a little slice / section of hair from my temple to ear so when I put it behind my ear, or the wind blows, it looks very real! I also use the root powder on that hair to blend it to a color closer the root color of my wigs! I am pretty sure I show this in a couple of my videos!
Jill Lynn Beauty Therapy yes, I've seen it... hence the reason for my attempt at growing it out a bit ... Hope I can manage enough to make it work as this part of even an expensive wig can look bad in the wind! 😘
I ordered my ignite wig today through Patti's pearls ,they had a 4th of July special and the wig cost me $119 and free shipping so that wasn't too bad I've bought several wigs from Patty and I've always been happy with their price I wait till they have holiday discounts.
Hi there! You will love the Ignite! It took me some time to get use to her...most likely because it was my very first short'er' wig. Now, it's my favorite go-to, every day wig! I will definitely be ordering another someday! Yes, same here...I love Patti's site, and have also ordered several from their sales! Thanks so much for watching, and can't wait to here what you think about your new Ignite!
I used a hand held steamer and brought my Jon Renau "Haute" back to new. It lasted about 2 weeks and its ready to do it again. I haven't washed it yet.
Hi Jill, So interesting, wondered if you have used heat on the hd wigs, I have Shannon now but too worried to try and put heat on her, mind you she's fine anyway . My first topper (and I started around march also ) is just not the same and now I know not to wash so much. I've just turned my savannah into a topper and it's okay ..crikey now I have the bug I must keep the scissors tucked away. It's hot here in London (makes a change) so I will keep to my toppers at the moment as I do get a little itchy with the wigs. Xx
Hey Ann! I have put a straightener on the front of Elizabeth, and a bit on the Straight Up ...just to 'de-frizz-. I used conditioning spray on the fibers and LOW heat. I have recently purchased an air brush. I am going to experiment with Elizabeth after I cut her to see if I can get a bit of volumne back in her. I'll let everyone know how that goes! ;) Thanks for watching today!
Straight up with a twist looks excellent on you. It is the perfect length for your face and color looks fabulous. I also like ignite on you, but I think Elizabeth drags you down just a tad and with me as well. Love all your videos and this was meant to be kind comment
Hi Linda! THAT was the biggest shock to me when I first started this wig journey! I thought they lasted forever! NOOOO...so disheartening! SO, I have learned how to make them last as long as possible. NOT washing until they really need it, AND how I wash them has really changed the game for me! Building a collection so I can rotate them...this really prolongs the life of them as well.
Jill I love Ignite and I love shaded praline on you. I got a great deal on an Ignite in shaded praline 12fs8 so I bought her on a whim from cysterwigs outlet area - I opened the box today after getting home from vacation. The fibers are beautiful. Alas she is too blonde for my skin tones. I need to find a new home for her she is in the box and netting as I got her.
I created a private Facebook group called THE WIG HUB that is full of members trying buy, sell and trade their wigs, toppers and hair pieces. You just will ask to join once you are on the group page, and you will be asked if you have a wig business of ANY kind. (I don't allow wig businesses). Once you respond I will allow access. I think there is another facebook group called the wig hub, but you will see that 'Jill Lynn Beauty Therapy' created the group. (or something to that effect).
Hi Jill, I wanted to tell you that because of watching your wonderful videos, I ordered my very first wig, Jon Renau's Ignite. It is so adorable on you and you have inspired me to get over having embarrassingly thin hair and venture into the world of wigs. I just received Ignite today and will have to play with it and work on getting the confidence to go public with it. But I wanted to thank you for the great, inspiring videos!
Christine Almeter What a sweet and kind comment to read! Thank you for taking the time to post! You have made my day, ;). Yes, keep playing with it...it took me awhile to get use to Ignite, but it grew to being my absolute favorite wig! I actually ordered a new one in one of their new blondes! It’s on back order 🙄. Ugh!
I ordered the ignite and it will be coming tomorrow!!...all because I watched this video and loved how this wig looked...I bought Natalie first then watched video after video then next day had to buy ignite, my first purchases from wigsbypattspearls....they were very helpful! Thanks for all your guidance from your own experiences to a new wig wearer!
Hey there Jill. How is the about 20 wearing before washing going? Oops, I just wore my first ever wig 'Logan' for only a week and then washed it.... yikes xoxoxo
I just found your channel tonight and I enjoyed very much your hints and tricks I just ordered the wig ignite" today, and I'm so excited to get it, and about a month ago I got "Straight up with a Twist so it was very coincidental that your video shows both wigs I'm excited to get ignite because it's exactly my real hair style the Raquel Welch straight up with a Twist is a little longer than my natural hair but I love it I have had so many compliments from people who have no idea I have a wig on but I got into wigs about 3 years ago and I now have 5 , it's addicting ..!! it is so great to put on a wig and let your own hair just get healthier with less Heat and product which is what I'm trying to do, I also have started taking collagen supplements I have been taking them for about 2 months so I'm hoping to see a difference in my hair between the supplements and wearing wigs but I enjoyed your video and enjoyed the tips,, I use the Sebastian volupt spray also when I do style my own hair, it gives alot of body but leaves the hair soft and supple... just a little tip when I wash my wigs I dry them by putting them over a tall skinny vase that I happen to have and they dry perfectly and I don't get any of those little ridges or bumps that you were talking about,
Hi! I am so happy you stumbled upon my channel! Welcome, and happy you enjoyed this one! ;) I love my Ignite...it is definitely my go-to wig this Summer! That's a great tip for drying! I have been really careful on how I put them on those darn drying rack/head delios! Also, speaking of collagen...I love 'Vital Proteins Collagen Beauty Greens'...it's a powder that you mix w/ water (I add several drops of Stevia) and has SO many amazing amino acids, hyaluronic acid..and so much more for healthy skin, hair and body. I sell it to my clients. Here is the link if you want to check it out from my online skin care boutique. ;) www.jilllynnbeautytherapy.com/item/vital-proteins-collagen-beauty-greens
Just watching this... Listening to you... You'd ' think they would try to make fibres that last better.. I mean for hand tied you are talking A lot of money 400 wow ... I know some people saying a few months, (I would not be happy) .. and that's it done..ouch!!! .. Do you think they are any better NOW a few years down the ROAD??? .. Or not... I've found some cheaper wigs last longer.... I've got a no name heat defiant fibre wig new on ebay for £48 I've had it years😂😂😂👍
Question #2. When you use the roller adhesive on the front of your hair. Do you put your makeup on before using the adhesive or tape strips? Wondering if I have makeup on before putting wig on if the strips or adhesive will stick?
RIMP73 Hi there! I don't put the adhesive on my forehead where my makeup is...I start right at the hairline and roll it back a couple inches. I apply my makeup before I put on my wigs. ;)
I purchased the Ignite , I loved it on you. And is a style I've been craving. My is a nice dark brown blend. But boy am I struggling with this one. . The front will not cooperate. and mine seems longer in front than yours. I am a cosmetologist and it is frustrating not being able to subdue it into the darling styles you achieve. argh. I think I am going to cut a long bang. Maybe that will help. Anything you can suggest I would appreciate it.
Susan Vanderhoek I hear this a lot with Ignite, and I struggled with it in the beginning as well. What I strongly recommend is using dry shampoo ...you will find it allows you to take control of those fibers. That’s how I was able to work with this one and now it’s my very favorite wig off all time. 🙄
I did buy a colored dry shampoo , but I think I should have bought the darker one. The one I have seems to be to powdery looking so I've only used it sparingly . Any advice on cutting the bangs? I'm a little scared to trim too much. I have a low forehead so I think that's part of the issue for me. Your videos have been a big help to me, my hair loss is pretty dramatic esp the top area. I've been using hair fiber for a couple yrs but it just gets everywhere. I'm ready to have hair styling options again. lol I've bought 6 wigs. Your face shape is very similar to mine so It's been great to get an idea how they might suit me. Thank you so much!
I've already washed my beloved Crowd Pleaser and was so sad to see how blah it looks. Is it too late to do the fabric softener routine to return it to its former glory? Thank you!
Never too late. ;). Let me know if you see improvement. OR you can try something like spraying some Kenra Silkening Mist on dry fibers to see if that helps (or try both things.) I hope you see some improvement! It's so frustrating!
@@JillLynnBeautyTherapy Thank you for your response - I will certainly let you know how it turns out. I do so enjoy your videos. You seem to always find new topics to talk about.
Thank you Debbie!! I've bought 2 wigs now, and haven't worn either one. The first wig was a "Logan" by (can't remember, but a name you know) and I washed it as directed when I first bought it to take some of the shine out. It seemed to puff up, and looked like a hair helmet!! Plus, even with the ties in back, underneath, it's still too big! So bummer on that one..162.00 down the drain cuz I cut the bangs as soon as I got it. My second wig, I went to the wig part of town and bought a 50.00 dollar wig. It actually looks good, mono top and lace front, but very long and way too thick of hair. I have to figure out how to thin it out, cut the length, and then I'll cut the bangs. It's all pretty daunting to me so far..:(. Think I'm going to give it one last shot at buying the Ignite wig and cutting bangs....praying!! Thanks for your response:)!
thankyou....i was debating whether to use fabric softener or buy jon renau shampoo.....as i have the beauty mark shampoo and i hate it. now i know what to do 😊👍
Hey there, Bridgee Aus! I am never using any kind of shampoo again! Hoping the fabric softener soak lasts. I'll let everyone know down the road! Thanks for watching!
I'd love to know if after so many washings, if the fabric softener doesn't start to build up on the wig. I do use it...but occasionally. I have alopecia...and live in Phoenix (sweat feast)....so I have to wash them once or twice a week, even with a cotton wig liner. But one thing I do to help get product build up off the wig is a cap full of white vinegar in the water. Doesn't make the wig smell...and gets product build off.
Great review. I haven't needed to wash my wigs yet, but I will try the fabric softener you talked about. I really liked the Raquel Welch Crowd Pleaser. It looks so good on you.
Very helpful update! Thank you for taking the time to do this. I just received my Ignite today (first wig), and I love it, but I'm struggling a little with the bang area. How do you get the bangs to not hang in your face without creating a helmet head? Specifically, what product do you use on them?
Hi there! I do product in her... Once and she's good to go and so much easier to style in various ways until it is washed! Here is the Wig Chat. I clearly struggled with 'liking' her in that wig chat. You will get a chuckle or two especially if you watch it to the end. ;) I use Jon Renau styling products in most all of my wigs: the 'Holding Spray', the ' Piece Out Contour Creme' and the 'Spray Gel' I have enjoyed lately too. I also spray dry shampoo like UNWASH (Ulta) to really help it work up better, and also makes the other products work so much better. Here are links for you. ONE is the wig chat, the other is a chat I do about the styling products! Can I wash multiple wigs at this once (together) rinse each and then condition multiple ones (together in fabric softener or do I need to do one at a time
I read something that says if u use fabric softener it will shorten the life of the wig and causes build up ? I was just wondering if anyone had hears that
Hi Cathy! It would be so hard to say really... reflecting back, though to my complete newbie days, I would probably have to say Straight Up w/ A Twist only because the permatease and lack of monofilament in Ignite may throw a brand new wig wearer off ;)
I don't us any of the shampoo or the stuff that thay sale because it rewins the wigs that way people have to buy more I have been wereing wigs for 30 years just fyi
Where to buy the Fill in powder?? Why are the red/auburn color so artificial looking? I know you are a blondie but, you have lots of info, maybe you have heard about the redheads. BTY, I’m a natural auburn & I need HELP...LOL!
Thank you for answering my first question about how hot wigs are! Do you find the Jon Renau wigs a better buy? I can only afford one for now. I have a scalp condition related to lupus and am losing all my hair eventually, it’s pretty sparse now so toppers are not an option. Are human hair wigs easier to maintain or man-made fibers and do they look real?
I recommend doing research and learning about different fibers, cap construction, and such. ;) Check out my 'New To Wigs?' series...you may find it helpful! You can search in the search bar that phrase on my main page and it will bring them all up. One thing you will want to keep in mind is that wigs do not last forever...I learned this the hard way. Getting just one wig that you will wear daily will severely cut its life span. You may get just a couple months out of it. Rotating wigs will help them all live longer. ;) They are expensive....but, it's really the hardest thing to deal with when being a wig wearer. It was certainly the biggest misconception that I had going in not knowing a darn thing. So, I strongly suggest doing your research (which you obviously are now...) and learn what you can. That first wig purchase is going to give you the most education...because you will learn a ton. You'll learn what you like , what you don't...what you can live with, and what you can't. Good luck!!
I am not sure. I just know fabric softener did the trick for me. We have to remember these fibers are 'textiles' they are...fabric really. ;) Thanks for watching!
Hi Jill...I love, love, love your wig reviews and insight about them. You are so honest and have some amazing advise on caring for them. I am a newbie so I appreciate all of your knowledge. I wanted to let you know that I still have the Elizabeth that I had sent you a message on a month or so ago, if you remember. If you are interested in her let me know. Thanks a bunch! Debi
Hey there, Debi! Thanks for letting me know! This whole fabric softener thing has really change my hopefulness on the longevity issue. I will think about it some more. ;) Thanks for your nice words, and for watching!
Have you tried using a hand-held steamer to smooth the fibres? I've seen miraculous effects on non heat-defiant fibres that were totally fried and frazzled, so I imagine it would work just as well on these. There are a number of videos of this on youtube, but here's a basic tutorial from Patty: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-oy2LcFFRmt0.html
Hi Linda! Yes, it is a heat friendly fiber. I would use some conditioning spray first with maybe a little spritz of water and a very low setting. I plan on experimenting on my Elizabeth with a low heat air brush to see if I can get a bit more body back in her. (probably after I cut her).
Judy Anne I don’t see why not. Just cut longer than you think you want it, and much less hair than you think you need. It will ruin the beautiful line of the cut though. 😉
My Ellen Wille " United " is not holding up at all. Wore it about 12 times total, washed once correctly, basically took care of it text book style, and fibers at ends are totally dry and matted. So disappointed as it really is my favorite..😞
It is so disappointing! That was my biggest misunderstanding I had about wigs. I just though they lasted forever. :( BUT when they don't last even 3 months (or less)...that's just ridiculous in my book.
I have ignite in the exact same color and I love it. Got lucky and found it on eBay. I gave up on Noriko wigs. For me they are too heavy, too thick and too hot.
Hi Viola! I love my Ignite for sure! I can agree that Noriko wigs ARE definitely all those things...a lot of that is because of their closed cap/basic cap construction, and the permatease. I am coming out with a video breaking down the different cap constructions and how the relates to comfort, price point, and so on. This of course is aimed for newbies out there because when I was first starting out I had no idea about any of that! Thanks so much for watching!
She looks so much better than she did. But, she looks pretty bad in person! Haha! Her ends are so broken down that they still stick together. Still, better than before. Thanks for watching today!
