Choke down some beast flesh and let's remember one of the last Wii games ever released! Matt's Twitter: / mattmcmuscles Matt's Twitch: / matthewmcmuscles Intro By: / reloadlastsave Edited By: / notoriousnichol
I was desperate to get a collector’s copy of this before it came out, but was too poor at the time. Years later after lots of searching I found a rare copy of it on a preowned shelf, and after playing it I absolutely loved it, it’s still on my shelf now. My favourite part is the sad lore behind the bosses and each of their designs.
It's a damn good game honestly. It however has a really weird glitch in American copies which the final dungeons, if you load into them a certain way, just never loads and you have to do a hard reset of the console. If not for that glitch I would have played it more often.
Oof, that glitch occurred for me consistently and I unfortunately couldn’t finish the game. So close to the end to. Was very disappointed I couldn’t see the game to its conclusion due to a glitch.
@@renegaderaven3777 Load the game, travel to Sheerdrop Spire, travel back to the observatory, walk up to the door and wait a moment, walk back to the cliff and wait a moment, then select Dusk Tower. From there you can travel from Dusk to Dawn, since both towers have loaded in properly. It's convoluted, but it almost always works if done correctly.
@@Baiken They would not normaly do that ... DOES THAT MEAN WE'RE GONNA GET A-E-R-O-N for smash ultimate ? (I hope he is gonna be the last please the fatal fury one has only moves that sucks it's a torture to play him ;__;)
To anyone who wishes to play this, remember to play the PAL version instead as the NTSC version contains a game breaking bug which will convince you to quit
@@tlk4554 No. The game will randomly crash throughout the final tower. People believe there are workarounds and tricks but the real answer is no. You CAN run through it quickly and luckily though. You'll want to grind the final tower for items if you want to craft everything.
Speaking from THE FUTURE: Now that XSEED has shown they can do some amazing port work with No More Heroes 1 and 2 I wouldn't be surprised to see ports of Pandoras Tower and The Last Story sometime, I at least really hope that happens. I'm sure they could come to some kind of agreement with Nintendo on it.
I have a lot of love for wii game graphics like pandora's, last story, twilight princess, etc. where they're kinda muddy/fuzzy and kinda bad. Like it's probably all nostalgia from when I was younger. I dunno Edit: Matt you pretty much nailed that feeling. It's the charm of obscure, 3D, ps2 era jrpgs.
I really wanted to like this game but I couldn't get into the gameplay which is a shame because I loved everything else about it. I'm still conflicted on whether or not to get another copy of this game and giving it another shot.
Did you ever play Alien Syndrome on the Wii? I've over the years been semi-casually trying to find anyone else who had enjoyed it as much as I did. Or enjoyed it at all. Or played it. Or even heard of it.
Another weird Wii game I remember (I even bought it alongside this one and Lufia of The Sinistrals for the DS now that I think of it), its Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, The Crystal Bearers, that's is quite a strange entry in the franchise, it's has a lot of charm too, but I haven't bring myself to finish it. I would also add Fragile Dreams and Dead Space Extraction to the list.
Fragile Dreams is a game that haunts me. Such a wonderful world brimming with beautiful visuals, details strewn about to make the world feel alive and charming characters. All of this is, however, hampered by the most bog-standard dull gameplay with more padding than a mattress manufacturer that has to clear his whole stock. This is alongside an ending that rushes through a bunch of important character moments and gameplay mechanics that should have been there earlier leading to the game ending on a whimper. As Jim Sterling said so aptly: "I love them for making it, I hate them for not making it better."
28:10 First time I saw this, I thought to myself, “Wow, what a dork lol”, but figured there was something more to it. Then 28:17 came, and just made go like, “Oh my god, wtf, he really IS a lame loser! lmao” I mean, like, Aeros, dude, it’s just finger poking. Or is it too LEWD for you? lol
I wish my copy of the game wasn't screwed up. It freezes whenever I try to access one of the last levels, which apparently was a common bug with the North American release. I was really getting into it up until then.
Fun plot twist about this game (And kind of an out of context spoiler, so be warn) at the end it turns out the Curse is a REAL Biohazard Curse, bioweapons included! Seriously, the plot twist of this game is kiiind of Resident Evil but but Curses instead of Virus.
@@bluecaptainITX has mechs for sure, but they are in XB1 too. One titan even gets piloted by a Machine person in a mech, which itself puts on an exosuit too use a G Gundam-style cockpit.
This game was always on my list to check out, but I lost interest in Wii games before I really did. It's nice to get a look at what I missed. As for recommendations, I'd love to see you do Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers
I hate the graphics in this game, they look bad even for a budget PS2 game. The presentation, art style, etc... and that motion blur? It's all just so ugly. I couldn't force myself keep playing. Much better games on the Wii than this.
