+hunter porth if you have a spare USB charger, this might be a better solution for you: amzn.to/1NCAtIK I haven't tried it yet, but I just ordered one to try with my Gamepad cradle. Make sure the charger you use is rated to at least 1.6 amps; most smart phone, ipad, etc chargers should be.
Mine got struck by lightnig so i bought a new Wii but it was only the cable that broke and i cant find my new cable anymore so is it possible to fix the broken one and how??
Yeah fried electronics tend not to work, if lightning struck it it's almost certainly bricked the whole thing, feel free to do your own research though.
i have cats... soooo... is the soddering necessary? just twisting it up should be enough to conduct, i dont own a soddering kit myself and want to do this.
+Michelle Romero instead of heat shrink tube? yeah, it just won't look as good. instead of soldering? I wouldn't do it that way but it might work for a while.
+Jvertus cut the cord below the damaged portion, open the case, desolder the AC connection from the board and solder the remaining cord back in. I'd have to figure out what to do about the strain relief.
America Noskcaj nhoj Maybe, assuming the reason it doesn't charge is something to do with how that hole got there. If so, it's likely that the wire is broken or shorted somewhere near where you can see the hole. In that case, you'd need to cut the cable there, strip it till you find good wire, and splice it as I've shown here.
Omg why people are so salty in the comments? Whe cuts his nails if whe wants to, he may have sensive finger tips (like i do) so bigger nails are better. Theyre not dirty or anything
