I am learning german. I nearly cried of laughter when I realized I could understand the lyrics and am pretty sure my neighborhood thinks I am a ex-war criminal from Argentina
you cant believe how crazy it feels as a german, to come across these songs... it makes the entire world, that this game takes place in, so much more believable! (well i guess that goes for everyone) huge props to Machine Games for busting their brains on HOW could WHAT exist in a nazi-world. i expected a mind-less nazi-shooter but what i got was a mind-less nazi-shooter with great characters and a nice told story! awesome game!

The reason I like this song is because of how in Wolfenstein the Germans take over the world basically and I would think that this song is supposed to represent on how the nazis token over America and they take good old fashioned American things such as the song House of the Rising Sun and make it pro-German which I figured out by the first time I heard this
@@stopka5848 po tolika letech už určitě ne, ti co byli moc slabí nebo staří, s těmi se vypořádali jako první, potom ideální pracovní sílu nechali otrocky pracovat do smrti a těch pár tisíců, co bylo ideální germanizovat, germanizovali. Jestli někdo zbyl, tak byl zneškodňen a po celém území ČSR jsou pouze a jenom Němci. Stejný osud potkal i všechny Slovany. Československo už není, teď se tento územní celek jmenuje Böhmen a Mahren. Několik generací po konci války lidé žijící v bývalém ČSR ani neví, že zde kdysi žil úplně jiný národ.
not gonna lie, when i was a kid my teacher was teaching me English and i couldnt understand it, once i got home and got to sleep i dreamt of speaking English and when i woke up suddenly i can speak english, not gonna lie but i wish I can do that on german too (im filipino btw)
doesnt make alot of sense, if your brain doesnt have enough knowledge of english to understand it then its sorta impossible for you to dream of it and understand it since it stems from the same amount of knowledge.
@@zephyriic but kinda the same thing happened to me while learning german: after 3 months into learning german I still wasn't able to have a conversation without stopping for a while thinking after every word because I had like an A2, then I went to sleep and when I woke up I was able to build entire phrases. It's almost like during that night the words formed a stronger connection one with another. I felt the jump between A2 and B1... A beautiful feeling (I know it's not the same the guy of the top comment said but I wanted to share this experience with you)

I have a theory, it’s called ‘Setting Sun’ because in Man in The High Castle the setting sun is used as a symbol of resistance against the Reich. So I’m guessing this song is telling the story of German man who defied the reich by joining the resistance and telling his sister not to follow him into the resistance stronghold aka (“The House in New Berlin”). Just copy paste from other video.
He's telling a story about how he should've listened to his Führer aka AH, that the status quo of the Reich the right thing is and how everything has turned to shit since he abandoned the Reich

Sometimes you have Abendrot translated as "Red night", but i would call it Nachtrot (or Roten Nacht), but sometimes you have really Abendrot translated as "red evening"
