What a great share of his process and his use of available light. Beyond sad to hear Vallée has passed away so young at 58. And to think of the stories Jean-Marc Vallée didn't yet get to tell. He had me at C.R.A.Z.Y. and just continued on from there. His pre-Hollywood movies are totally worth the search. C.R.A.Z.Y. from 2005 is hard to find because of the rights to a most incredible soundtrack, but you'll understand why Hollywood discovered him with this film. And Café de Flore from 2011 is so worth finding too. And then of course all of the work after that. Such a gifted storyteller.
