Question remains? At what distance were the parties shooting? I see on you tube and elsewhere accounts differing from a few feet to 75+ yards. What did the witnesses say?

My father's optometric office was right down the street from Park Central, where this incident took place, when he first worked with an older optometrist named Dr. Hawver. (Funny, I don't even remember his first name. I'll have to ask my mother about that.) That's cool that they are using QR codes in relation to the historic incident. I didn't even know about this incident when I grew up, when I often watched KY3. To me, the "Wild West" was in places like Arizona, Colorado, Texas, etc., because that was where the movies usually showed cowboys and Indians. But Springfield was "wild and wooly" in those days; and the James Brothers (Jesse and Frank) pretty much made names for themselves in that area.

Trouble with those witnesses is that we're asked to accept for fact what they think they remembered.
