What an absolutely bonkers episode - somehow I missed the hype and speculation around cameos, so went in completely blind with no expectations. I can't remember the last time I was this enthralled by the mystery in a Doctor Who episode. The biggest weakness is easily the CGI, especially the main hallway set that radiated Star Wars Prequel energy - but it is absolutely overlooked when the script kicks into gear. What a phenomenal episode - glad you both enjoyed!

So far I am really enjoying the 60th Anniversary, but my only note is that I don't really feel it's the Anniversary. It's just a great season that somehow have an introduction, big finale and only one regular episode. The episodes are great, but just don't give out the celebration vibes.

Regarding the regeneration energy from the "next time trailer" - this could be fake out. Like we had shots of regenerating Capaldi in the season 10 trailer, that turns out to be fake and from a middle episode. And also regenerating Jodie that wasn't her actual regeneration from "Power of the Doctor". Also they are really forcing Ncuti into the trailers and now we've seen like four different shots of him? So that makes me think he might be in the special more that we think.

Loved this episode. This was the episode for me where i went, "yeah im back. I can carry on watching doctor who" I would give it a 9/10 and the only reason its not a 10 has nothing to do with vfx because looks straight past that. The reason is because its too darn long and drug out. Couldve shave 5 or 10 minutes

The moment he says "i will save you" was that a reference to 42 with martha?

Wow! I'm not sure if I'm disappointed that it's not what I expected...or..amazed at how good it was ? Very good character beats, really scary and weird. Excellent performances from Tennant and Tate ( good and evil versions). I need a couple more viewings to decide how I really feel, .Ironically I don't feel it's as re-watchable as Star Beast,but I can't deny it's a quality episode. Not sure if this is a fair criticism,but this didn't feel like a 60th celebration. I know that was a deliberate decision by RTD . Not quite up there with 'Midnight' or 'Heaven Sent' , but a valid attempt at something stripped back and different. Expected the Isaac Newton stuff to be relevant or resolved. Maybe it will be connected to The Giggle in some way? Was it just an excuse for a gag,? Or will 'gravity' be 'mavity' from now on in Doctor Who? GREAT to see Wilf. Can't wait for The Giggle
