A quick car camping overnighter on the way to the Lake District soon saw us on the way in the morning. Massive crowds of people changed our plans a few times and we ended up doing one of the toughest hikes we've ever had to do, not because the trail was tough but because it was too much for Cody and I had to spend a lot of time and energy helping him.
The trail was brutal and impacted my mental health quite severely but finally reaching a good camp spot helped to re-balance and feel better about things.
