South West Coast Path Day1
Minehead to Lynmouth
About 26miles (I did a few loops) over 9hrs with breaks. Not as many ups and downs than expected. “Getting started”. The highlight was the drop into Lynmouth with the wave platform, turquoise sea and the green slope in the bright sunshine

i did the first section to porlock and loved it a very steep climb to start with to get the heart pumping

A longish up and then you loose it all after 10miles. I do remember that first few miles thinking what had I got myself into!

26 miles in one day is impressive! I was done for the day when I got to Porlock.

Thank you. I remember getting to Porlock and thinking ‘I’ve got a few hours left, I’ll push on’. Not every decision is the best one! Haha

I take the water and food with me ,means I only do 15 miles but I get to wild camp in paradise solitude 😊

Hello my wife and I are just contemplating starting this long distance walk. But im overcome with anxiety about how many streams and rivers we will have to cross. Any idea what it is like please. Oh... now plan to watch these videos. Excellent.
