Hi, planet earthlings! Welcome to my channel. If you’re new here, lovely to meet you! If you’re already subscribed, thanks so much for coming back!
From the majestic mountains up north to the beautiful coast down south! Let me share with you something new: my first coastal camp, and it was in a cave!
Joined by my colleague, Sheri, we made a last minute trip to Dorset where we were shown around some of the most beautiful & iconic spots by my friend, Tariq!
Also took the opportunity to talk a bit about “Leave No Trace” or LNT when camping or going out in nature as it is becoming a very big issue lately with people not disposing off their trash properly. Please guys, we all like and enjoy the outdoors so let’s all treat it with respect. 💕 Thanks to Lee & Ben for tagging me in this campaign which was started by Dan. Great job Mari! Wonderful views, videography and narration. I am going to carry with me “broken things can be beautiful too” for a while, such a deep thing to say. You are very good to practice “Leave No Trace,” we only have one earth and should keep it nice for others and future generations. God bless.

Brilliant quality time with your friends Mari. That was some kind of tour to get to camp. You passed through a fair few million years - good on your mate for helping set up camp. As for your other buddy I reckon she'll make a good backpacking companion. She seemed to be wearing the rucksack like it belonged on her back. Great stuff. Mark

PS How good (or not) are those wee Cascade tables please...? I have a similar sized aluminium folder but it's still about 2kg... compared to 60g, no contest! I only need one but can get 2 for £25 online - looks like a good deal..?

North by Northeast thank you so much! Sheri loved it apparently and will do it again, even though she gave me the look of death when we got up in the morning! :-D The cascade tables are great in my opinion. Cheap and SUPER light but sturdy! I even use it as a “breakfast in bed tray” sometimes, I just turn it upside down-it’s perfect. They cost I think around £18 for 2 but on the sale. £25 is still not bad for 2 of these though, in my opinion. Cheers, Mari

We were there this time last year and should have been there this summer as well. I spent many a happy childhood holiday staying with my uncle and aunt in Weymouth, who still live there today. We always went to Lulworth Cove at first light of late evening and always had the place to ourselves. Never been to that cave before but it did look really good and well done on you both for treating it with respect and leaving no trace, cheers Alan

That's a very nice place loved the cave never stopped in one yet but seen one on my adventure this week that I will be using in the future not as big as that one LNT is very important and the more of us that spread the message the better hopefully people will listen atvb jimmy 😎😎

Ha, Durdle Door was my first ever wild camp at 15 years old...no sleeping bag, tent or anything...me and ahem... the girl I just met just slept on the beach, sunrise was ace 😁 Cool cave camp, I know where that is too 😉 Cheers for the #LeaveNoTrace tag Mari. ❤❤❤

Joss It was a welcome change in scenery! I actually forgot how stunning the sea is. It was a perfect spot for a cozy cave camp! Joss I have a bit of fear of the sea, to be honest. Maybe because I can’t swim and it’s a huge body of open water with strong waves.🙈 Sucks having to cancel holidays, doesn’t it? Sorry you had to cancel. Next chance I get, I’d be hitting up the mountains of Snowdonia. One of my mates has been nagging me, actually. Haha. Let me know if it’s okay to bring her along for Crib Goch or if not, I’ll bring her on a separate occasion. ☺️

Funsized Earthling yeah I can imagine that fear.. the water can be a powerful force. I never thought that you wouldnt be able to swim, what with your lake adventures. Crib Goch isnt for the inexperienced or anyone with a fear of heights so it would depend on your friends experience in the mountains. It could feel pretty dangerous to someone who had not scrambled before but there are plenty of alternative routes in the area..👍

That looked amazing Mari, welcome to the south coast! Surprisingly I only live 40 - 50 miles away from Durdle door, but I have never been there. It's definitely a place on my bucket list to visit. The cave looked really cosy 👍

As Seal said long ago we all need to get a little wawa to survive! This was a wonderful video, Mari, it's great how you introduced your friend to this kind of adventure and your other friend was a top man for helping you set up camp and then walking back in the dark along the cliff - friends like this are worth more than gold! :-)
