Something to think about; Make an embossing die, (Similar to the ‘X’ design,) with your shop logo on it. Such a mark would be a unique signature on your designs. I like option B.

Fantastic craftmanship from nothing more than a true genuine professional. A builder who has a vision and everything in his mind is achieved. 100% and nothing less. Many thanks for all your efforts in all you do and achieve. Be it fabrication or the video production side. Stay safe and enjoy. ( Antrim N Ireland )

Stunning execution on the floor pan! Shame that such a thing of beauty is getting covered, but that's building a hot rod, some details are never seen! You must have burned a lot of rods welding the sides up! Josh and Ben! Drink, drink! Go Bennetts Customs, keep moving forward! (Will be sending along my submission)

My Brother in Law, who was a master carpenter, taught me when attaching sheet goods to a framework to always screw from the center out. His explanation was that it "takes the crawl out". I've found that it works when welding sheet metal to a sub frame structure too, especially when you are doing something with an arch in it! R.I.P. Cliffy
@raymondsanderson3768
@raymondsanderson3768 Месяц назад
That’s right, if you do it from the ends inwards you end up with an arch in the middle!
@raymondsanderson3768
@raymondsanderson3768 Месяц назад
It can also apply to castings or pressings like cylinder heads or sumps. Start tightening in the middle, alternating side to side, and work outwards to the ends.

A cool project would to make a 50’s hot rod, but done with an Italian style space frame, like an alternative universe where hot rodders went to Modena to do the targa florio.

On those shims, I think magnetizing them may be useful, keeps hands free to do the set up, just awkward otherwise. Option A is good. Always work with protecting your back in mind, it’s working smart to not trigger the spasms. On the projects, I am on the dreaming phase, would like to try it but never done anything other than tractor overhaul and engine swapping an old escort. Got lots to learn before even trying at this stage but hey I’m 70 years young with time to learn and have the age related reduced finances. I do enjoy your creativity as well as those of Carl of Japhands and Brent of Halfass customs, and many others too. Hey, Josh is always eating!

Hell, yeah looking so good, I fret so much about how things look even though they will get covered up and never seen. my wife thinks I'm bloody nuts ha ha. I really love how the floor just rolls up and curves over, I've taken inspiration from that and just started the substructure in my project and rolled up some box section, hopefully it should look sweet. I've been a Boily for over twenty years now and my oxy and plasma cutting skills are horrendous, don't know what it is but literally terrible ha ha. Option A, but b is also pretty sick just do both, also can't weld with a foot pedal tried a few times over the years just no for me. The problem with the internet and RU-vid is you watch builds like this and then try and think this should work sure it works in my head. Amazing work as always, I might submit my van although I'm sure there are better things out there, still cool though. also, sorry i tend to comment as I watch ha ha, so seems ranty.

I build commercial jets for a living and use a product called ,or we call it onion skin because is resembles in color and thickness the dry white film on a onion ,it’s a double sided adhesive film used to temp shims and parts in place for drilling and fabrication. Look into this it would be a good useful tool for you, if it interest you comment that and I will find out the number and manufacture for you guys.
