I always find that no matter how many new and colorful strains of discus humans have created over the years, the simple and natural beauty of the wild, brown discus will never be surpassed. These fish are so elegantly beautiful.
John John how can a human create some life? I think all those different strains are purely from the creator... Like a dynamic programming logic inside every life and another life is created..Humans just sexed them together..
Really nice set up and amazing discus! Im still amazed how peoplw manage to get so many different colours and varieties out of wild discus. But wilds are wilds and quite expensive discus too!!
They're spectacular!!! thank you for sharing. what kind of discus are they and how big are they? what size tank is that? is that pair in the back a breeding pair protecting their spawn?
Great tank and these are some beautiful specimens. I have a hard time getting quality stock in my area, and even then keeping everyone vibrant is tough with the pecking order aggression. Great job
I never actually liked discus before, but now that I see the wild variety I've changed my mind, they're incredibly beautiful, why would anyone want any other color?
The most beautiful blue is found on these brown Discus, imho. Not on any 'blue Discus'. The blue is especially striking on the brown background of the fish. This is how I saw them the first time 50 years ago in the Amsterdam Zoo and I never saw a more beautiful fish, including any salt water fish.
Wspaniały zbiornik, świetne tło, oświetlenie i pięknie wygądające ryby. Mógłbyś napisać jaką masz filtrację i jakie media, parametry wody, jak często podmieniasz wodę i jaki jest stopień trudności trzymania tak pięknych dyskowców. Pozdrawiam
Dzięki. Dwa filtry fluval 205 i 405 obydwa wypchane ceramiką do pełna i oryginalne gąbki. Pozdr
I am looking for a discus group for my tank. Is this the lighting or are these fish that gorgeous! What strain please? one place y ou say Santarem, I guess that is the place, then they must be Red Alenqueler's. they must be captive bred by now? I would love to get these.
Hi guys! Does anyone know if Stendker does have these (Red Alenquer I suppose) does have, and do they have them in this quality? Or do I really need to look for Wild caught only?
Yes, I think I've seen at least one of your other videos. In this video, I could have sworn I saw the fish that never leaves the upper right hand corner swim vertically, as though she were laying eggs.
I'm pretty sure those 2 back there have babies, first they dont come up to eat, second they fight with the others that comes closer and for the last even if one of them move the other stay there all the time by the 5 min of video.
Thank you buddy I appreciate I'll gonna get it from snook in I was confuse when I check the website there is 4 kind alenquer blue, red royal and semi royal but I want exactly like your so I gonna get the red one, again thank you so much
Dutch 4ever Mainly to keep up with demand. They are called the king of the aquarium for a reason. Also, tank bred can be kept in normal tap so it’s easier for people. If they didn’t have tank bred strains, wild discus would probably be extremely endangered.
@@qbnguyen-hoang484 I don't care about "easier for people." The effort required makes them that much more rewarding to keep. Besides, it does not have to be hard, if you are innovative. I designed and built a system that automatically changed about 25% of the water daily with preheated RO water. Everything was peat filtered so it kept good tannins and good pH. I don't think the objection is to tank bred fish. It is to all of these in my opinion gaudy strains. Everyone is entitled to their own tastes, but I prefer to mimic nature to the extent practical.
